  6. Yes, in theory. But as stated above, when having the AI doing an external cargo transportation, it ignores all waypoints and races directly to the drop off zone. AFTER that, he will fly to his waypoints and adhere to the set restrictions.
  7. I believe you're overthinking it. You can add a speed (and altitude) for AI to fly at in the waypoint options. I think that's what Bignewy was alluding to.
  8. Problem is you cannot do so. If I have an AI with advanced waypoint option Cargo transportation (external), it will race in a straight line from pick up to drop off. It also overrides a manually set Group.getByName(myLittleChinook"):getController():setSpeed(30) (also tried to set it in continous trigger) Maybe add a fourth field to the external cargo action to set the speed? Or am I missing an option here (certainly don't want to rule that out).

  10. Anticollision-Light immer an. Außer im Feindgebiet. Am Tag bei guter Sicht keine Positionsleuchten. Bei Nebel und Nacht an. Formationslichter nur wenn ich nicht allein fliege. Und dann auch nur nachts. Im Feindgebiet immer alles aus ausser Formationslichter. Weiss aber auch nicht ob das alles so stimmt. Wer es mit Sicherheit weiß...ich bin auch interessiert.

  12. HI, I understand your point, however to add speed restrictions automatically would create other problems. The current way is for the mission designer to set the speed for the AI, it is the easiest way to have them match a speed required for a particular part of a mission. thank you
  13. The AI flies at 110 to 114 knots IAS with for example an L118 as sling load. Way too fast. As a player aircraft, the external cargo will tear off at around 70'ish knots. Not a big issue, but a pain, if you want to build a mission, where the player is not the lead aircraft. So an automatic speed reduction, if a sling load is carried would be very welcome.
  14. @Supernova-III I'm not an F-18 user, but the coordinates the JTAC passed (WE02530543) in the format 8 digit, in an avionic that work with 10 digit, should be entered as WE 02530 05430 not as WE0002530543

  16. when i have to enter MGRS coord, i tried from both icp 4 stpt, press dobber right seq a couple of seconds enter mgrs, press convet but ithen if i recall stpt 21 i have no alt/long . i tried the reverse process, pressl LIST, 1 DEST, SEQ, enter mgrs , convert, go to icp 4 stpt and always no lat/long nothing been converted to any stpt coordinates........ i tried also LST with tgp, press uncage, laser arm off, but tgp sees no laser

Jester is supposed to tune his search for expected target areas, including inputs from AWACS, RWR, mission-relevant data or also the pilot pointing in the sky or at a specific part of the radar screen. Im not sure when this feature will be available as it is quite complex. But this is the next essential step for Jester-Radar. Currently he runs a "default search pattern" that pretty much covers the entire relevant airspace ahead (from roughly 10k ft down to 10k ft up at 30nm). The Jester Wheel offers some extra entries to tune this search, getting him to focus on a specific setting instead (for example +7k ft at 30nm) and similar. Once the contact appears on the radar screen, Jester will be able to work with the contact. He will automatically check IFF and you can for example focus or also lock the bandit through the use of the Jester Context Action (V) or by using the entries in the Wheel.

I'm really late to this topic, but I can see that it says that destroyed units are 'removed' from the mission file, but would it be possible to replace them (like for like) with a destroyed static as well? That means you can easily migrate the mission file from one sortie to the next and know both the remains of existing groups but also have persistent wrecks that would accumulate over time.

    Да вы правы. Если бы я условно разделил вирпилов и пилотов-вирпиов, то провёл бы границу: вирпилы стремятся к реализму, а пилоты-вирпилы — к похожести, когда речь идёт о «картине» естественно. У пилотов-вирпилов акценты реализма смещены в сторону управления: грубо говоря, для вас важнее именно реализм управления, РУС или даже сайдстик это не джойстик ниразу:). Говоря «вам», я, конечно, не имею в виду кого-то лично — это всё тоже очень субъективно. А по поводу догфайтов, боевого применения и вообще полётов — тут и обсуждать нечего. Банально, но когда в одной ситуации максимум, что можно потерять, — условный «фраг», а в другой — жизнь, меняется не только набор тактических приёмов: меняется вся психофизиологическая модель поведения человека.

  23. Yep, and not that long ago they said the works had even already started, though only minor stuff since they were bogged down with the Corsair. Now it's released, and even though it's WIP and they'll keep polishing it for quite a while, let's hope the MiG-21 v2.0 comes sooner than later

  25. I have RTX 5070 and play on 4k with highest settings. So 4k is not an issue if you have enough RAM and good CPU as well
  26. через 5 лет: Что за ужасные текстуры , когда обновят? когда то кабина L-39 была эталоном , в миг- 21 - фотография ) ИМХО лучше больше уделить внимание эффектам. Текстуры все быстро забудут, эффекты - нет. Те же капли дождя..., и/или запотевания, замораживания. Различные блики.., дребезг элементов кабины, грязь. Что, для меня лично, всегда отличало ЛОКОН (и в последствии DCS) от других проектов ? - Эффект марева двигателя. Эффект царапин на стекле. Кроме шуток, я даже заходил полетать в тот еще рельсовый ЛОКОН чисто чтоб полюбоваться царапинками (чего не было нигде) В MSFS мне нравились капли дождя. А текстуры... они и так уже на достаточно высоком уровне. Лучше- только ресурсы жрать. Скажите, а нет ли возможности, как то воспроизвести реальный бой ( как то имитировать) что бы просто глянуть в треке на внешних видах, как это происходит. Было бы очень интересно
  27. Nah, good ole' RTX3070 here, so the issue seems to be more "universal". But if bandit is working on a relevant fix, we'll see if it can be solved. Fingers crossed!
