  2. It tracks when it is illuminated by the radar and stops tracking when it isn't. You can see that if you follow the missile in. The guidance kind of pulses on and off.
  3. You made my day! I appreciate your passion and support for the DCS Train Simulator Community! Maybe ED should consider to integrate train conducting into Combined Arms @cfrag Thank you for your very concise and to the point summary of the state of DCS. I do agree wholeheartedly. The tools situation is exacerbated by the lack of official documentation for almost everything, a tendency to break the scripting interface, and an utter lack of developer attention to core bug reports combined with apparent zero pre-release testing [1, 2]. What adds insult to injury is that the Simulation Control API Documentation (see %DCS_INSTALL_DIR%/API/Sim_ControlAPI.html) claims that scripting API centerpiece net.dostring_in() is now allegedly obsoleted by a_do_script(). That conclusion is ill-conceived and makes me wonder whether ED still understands their own code base. I do have my doubts. Bug triage, i.e., presumably forwarding confirmed bugs to an internal bug tracker, and testing is outsourced to community volunteers, who recently got this new and shiny badge to bolster morale. Sadly, only a tiny fraction of General Bugs filed within the last 2+ months have received any official attention. Reporting bugs in the faint hope to get them fixed seems like a waste of time now. A general note on managers: Managers typically work on behalf of the short-term shareholder value. Not the employees, not the long-term sustainability, and certainly not the customers. Boeing is a prime example of the application of this management mantra. Just to put expectations into perspective. Despite its many flaws, I do love and enjoy DCS thanks to the squadron I fly with. They make it worthwhile. However, I am outspoken about DCS' shortcomings in order to get its issues enough attention from ED. To make DCS better for everyone, including the evangelists who repeatedly suggest us critics to walk away. I'm terribly naive, I know ... My wish: These efforts to fall on fruitful ground and be appreciated and considered. By ignoring the content creators, ED is leaving vast resources untapped and fallow.
  4. Right! I didn't notice that. A great update is coming.
  5. Yes, they need to be installed for each client, and on the server.
  6. End of the war for the British Pacific Fleet. And the US Fleet for good measure. ..
  7. Where would I get that from?
  8. This week, there's a race at Mozdok International Speedway Anyone is welcome to participate, using any aircraft. Join the VIRPIL Controls FlightSimracing server to take part.
  9. На этой неделе проходит гонка на Mozdok Internation Speedway VIRPIL Servers Принять участие может любой желающий на любом ЛА. Сервер VIRPIL Controls FlightSimracing
  10. These are officially approved, so everything is clear with them. But what about the ones downloaded from the website that need to be installed on a dedicated server?
  11. Sorry, I may have asked this before, but do you guys fly regular weekly squadron training & mission nights? Looking at your Discord channel I didn't see any regularly scheduled flights/missions listed in the Events channel.

    MFD

Unfassbar. Ich habe ausführlich beschrieben, wonach ich suche. Ich habe von Winwing die MFDs. Ich brauche Dreh- und Kippschalter-Button-Box und keine MFD, die ich bereits habe. Kann hier keiner lesen? Ich Suche eher sowas hier..
  13. Hi RealDCSpilot, Thanks for your response. I tried many different settings. I never use motion smoothing or third party plugins or hacks. I prefer to run DCS and VR as simply as possible. I just run my G2 @ 60HZ in DCS VR using WMR and adjust my DCS settings down until I have it running nice and smooth. I don't like the fake frames and blurring of motion smoothing. But for some reason, I just couldn't get the PSVR2 to run smoothly like my G2. That's why I suspect it's just my hardware is not quite up to running the PSVR2, I think the PSVR2 @ 72HZ is slightly more demanding than my G2 at 60HZ. But having said that, I'm still willing to go back to the PSVR2 and give it another try with the eye tracking. BTW, I don't have an issue with using SteamVR, I just like the simplicity of turning on the G2, WMR starts up automatically and then I just go straight into DCS VR.
  14. From his post above: "One art change that did come in is the use of the rotor blur system. Aside from a great visual update this also allows for flapping and coning animations which really improves the rotor disc effect."
  15. Yes I know, I stated it's a long wished for feature. That's why I asked, now it's a thing on the C-130, are there any plans to introduce it into the wider game and other modules?
  16. Yes, QV leads to the grey veal ("white box"). But - in my case turning off SSAO while using QV solved the problem. Had a thread regarding this issue a couple of weeks ago:
  17. Can't get enough of this carrier stuff. Up to 10 consecutive circuits per session and I'm starting to get the hang. My practice fleet. 1 Desroyer ahead at half mile and Port side Destroyers at 800 and 1400 yards to mark the correct pattern. ..
  18. I bet these issues have nothing to do with the PSVR2. The stutters come from wrong settings (motion smoothing has to be off, throttling behaviour to fixed). SteamVR also isn't the culprit for most problems like many people think. The troubles with the HP Reverb headsets came from the terrible concept by HP, that this headset should be a native WMR runtime hmd and SteamVR wasn't even planned and supported in the first days. The wrapper WMR for SteamVR was an afterthought and the source of many many problems. I've been using SteamVR since 2016 with various headsets and it never made any troubles or stopped working for whatever reason. What @AlpineGTA should have done before testing the PSVR2 is removing any software and hacks that were needed to have the Reverb G2 running. (That includes OpenXR toolkit etc.)
  19. This is very helpful thanks. I never did really get dialed in when using SimHaptic, and I'm just getting started with SimShaker now. Do you have values in SimShaker you like for the Corsair you can share? As for setup directions, are you referring to SimShaker's directions? FFB stick and possible rudders are on my list too.
  20. It is NOT SSAO; it is the QV!
  21. Thank you! All seems to be OK now . One note, though: version 2 link downloads F-86F-35-CPT-TEXTURES.zip file directly, without folder structure as in case of version 1. Not a problem for experienced DCS users, who can just recreate it, but might be confusing for inexperienced players who will try to follow outdated installation instructions.
  22. I can have an AI helo fly in and embark troops without a problem. I'm struggling to get troops to embark to a player controlled helo from a cold start. I tried using the F10 radio button to get them to embark once I had started the helo but no joy.
  23. That's pretty much what I see with the QP.
  24. Today
  25. In the latest version I've only changed the wrong PRMG, RSBN frequencies for Damgarten. Channel number is set correctly to 32, but the frequencies are: frequency = 820000000.000000; So I set them to: frequency = 832000000.000000; Combination of channel 20 and frequency 820000000 is used for Parchim. See my beacons.lua attached. beacons.lua
  27. Me too. Sounds promising if you prefer it to the QP. I'll post my thoughts over the weekend.
