ADI is implemented, it's just not being tied to the throttle like it's supposed to be and is instead a separate button press. At least it wasn't before the patch. If they changed that it wasn't in the notes.

Absolutely... both sides should be held accountable. No one’s giving Razbam a pass here. But when customers are caught in the middle, they don’t have legal teams or inside knowledge... they only have what ED and Razbam choose to tell them. Calling for clarity isn’t “using the community as a weapon”... it’s asking for basic respect as paying customers.

Replacement as in someone else develops the same planes and the people who own the originals get to swap them out, sounds unlikely. Replacement as in someone else at some point makes the same planes and sells them as new modules, sure. I have no qualms buying them, if well made and supported, again as they would be their own individual modules with all the work that entails, but I wouldn't expect that for quite some time.

I'm certainly questioning buying third party modules now. First it was the WW2 pack, then the Hawk, years of several Razbam products simply not working properly and now they do, them all being depreciated. Why, as a long term customer, would I consider buying any additional third party modules when there's a more than a edge case chance that they won't be working or supported within just a few years? Regardless of the outcome of this, ED needs a clear statement on this and something in the small print of the contractual agreement it has with us, the customers.

Yes, a supposed settlement was indeed reached a long time ago. The problem, however, is that none of it has been implemented yet. And that's exactly what ED is saying here. Well, I don't want to delve too deeply into any conspiracy theories here. You can google them yourself online. The real problem, however, remains. Apparently, no payment has yet been made to Razbam, if various supposedly well-informed "sources" are to be believed. Here, too, however, I urge caution, as usual. The fact is, a quick agreement would benefit us all. And let me mention again at this point that I have purchased all Razbam modules, so the whole thing is in my absolute best interest. However, from experience, I no longer play the white knight for the wrong bride...

It's SUPPOSED to be tied directly to the throttle, but that's now how it is in the module. M3 made it a separate key press. And if he's only getting 54in MAP at 20,000ft he's NOT on ADI.

The honus is also on the 3rd parties to not break contracts and NDA/Confidentiality as well, it's a two way street.. Also to add Don't use the community as a weapon, use your legals teams, like most companies do No winners here...

Does anyone know where the edm for this tower is stored in the game. It goes by the name IP_Tower. I have looked in all the usual places but it eludes me ... and when I say I have looked I REALLY HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE. I only need the edm's location, I can find the rest from there.

You may want to read up on what "reverse engineering" is actually referring to. The result "can" infringe on patents, but it is by no means "illegal" in itself... As you pointed out, the culprit is, if any NDA or other legal binding agreement between both parties forbids reverse engineering.

I doubt that's going to happen, as it might cause more trouble. It would force the previous modules into deprecation, thus only speeding up their decay status of 'continue to work as-is'. That would make me at least not so happy about paying full price to get them back again. Any sort of discount for previous owners would eat a lot into the profit margin, seeing how, say, the Harrier enthusiasts most likely are previous owners in a vast majority of the DCS community. But one can dream, I reckon.

It isn't your file that is unsafe, mate. It is the fact that your solution is to just include a modified file with your mission, which most users will neither want to nor be able to question. Your autoexec file might be good, but will one I include be?

Since it looks like the sun is setting on the Razbam modules. I'm wondering it would be out of the question for Ed and possibly some other developer to get started on a replacement for them.

I dont recall, I rarely ever shop Steam for DCS. Ironically, I have two Razbam modules on steam and DCS...none of which is the F-15E. I just recall there was an option there, but its up to the discretion of both Steam and ED.

I agree that a quick list would be usefull. At least, it'll show us that the team have plans for the Mi-24. Not asking for a time of implementation or any engagement or guarantee, just that, yeah, the team is aware some things need to be added/corrected. @BIGNEWY Do you think that would be feasible/acceptable ?
