  1. Past hour
  2. Whenever I am a distance away from an aircraft at night their lights almost disappear and sometimes look like a little smudge on the plane. Disabling DLAA fixes it. The lighting seems fine at night in MSAA.
  3. Definitely this - would make it a prime tool for any group of players / pilots. I'm really hoping for a mobile FARP. Doesn't need to be the MC either, any could do that.
  4. Hi, I just tried it. The default setting is now K. The cursor on the MFDs is now much smoother. However, the aircraft's ghosting hasn't improved. Oh well, I guess you just have to live with compromises. Thanks again for the help, and to everyone following this thread, have a nice weekend.
  5. I'm not comparing. I'm telling you the 29 has no range. That's why aircraft have fuel jettison functions - to get down to landing weight if necessary. Just did a quick flight around Berlin with a couple of quick touch and goes at several airfields to test RSBM and PRMG functionality - cruise at 450KIAS at 2000ft, empty pylons, internal gas only. Merseburg - Köthen - Zerbst - Wittstock - Finow - (Falkenberg) - Merseburg. And an unplanned T'n'G at Leipzig each. I left out Damgarten in the north due to abysmal map-performance (and it was a good idea, as it shows). Checked the 29, the F-16C and the F1 against each other - starting fuel (ME): MiG-29: 7443lbs (100%) F-16C50: 7163lbs (100%) F1EE: 7156lbs (100%) I used Jet A for unit conversion, but the difference to any JP or F- type fuel is 150lbs max: https://whycalculator.com/jet-fuel-weight-calculator/ MiG-29 landed with about 350Kg (the gauge is way too granular to be exact - let's say 750lbs) of fuel. => Just about 10% fuel left. F-16C50 landed with 2700lbs of fuel. => About 38% fuel left. F1EE landed with 1600l (about 2800lbs) => About 39% of fuel left. Both the Viper and F1 could have easily diverted south to Altenburg (another 29 airfield) and both entered the pattern at Merseburg with over 500lbs more than normal IFR recovery fuel. The 29 would have been cooked in a weather diversion. Is it a perfect comparison? No certainly not. But it gives us a good initial impression for how much the 29 suffers at low altitude. If anybody wants to try a medium and high altitude comparison, be my guest.
  6. Has anyone messed around with if existing FC3 mig-29A skins are mostly backwards compatible. I know the paint kit is not out yet but more skins would be nice. :3
  7. There's nothing special about the cables. It's easy make at home if you got rudimentary skills. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  8. Ok, I'm trying to fix all of the log errors that I can the past few days. And found this thread... I have done a full repair & cleanup twice in the past 3 days, and I still see this in my log: 2025-09-20 18:40:27.778 ERROR wInfo (Main): negative drag of payload "{MAK79_MK20 1R}" (origin: 9.
  10. Guess a crashlog would be helpful here - not that I understand much of it. Do you have any mods installed? Just a feeling as I don't use any but I have the impression that the latest patches collided more often with mods as they used to. Or the other way around for sure
  11. And so we will pay for it gladly.
  12. I personally am loving the challenge and am having a blast. Playing on contention It requires you to keep your head a bit more out of the cockpit. and check with EWR for where contacts are, but then I'm also used to playing the MiG-21 and the F1CE a lot, where you can't rely heavily on the RWR. Regardless I still feel that it's doing decent right now in contention server, and that's even with both IFF and coop mode between the radar and IRST not working right now. I've certainly been able to get kills in it with both the R27R's and the R73 and they feel pretty satisfying. I feel not having a M2000 or F/A-18 level of RWR is not a deal breaker, and even if the front aspect portion of it was working with the radar on, I feel looking down all the time at it in the heat of combat is not the way to go.
  13. I'm not calling out community members when you posted my response to dudikoff, i was thanking him for his contribution? Ehhh that's not calling them names, thats thanking them for their contirubution, common big newy i'll let you off with it being no doubt its been a long few weeks of screen time getting upto launch week! This is not about EA Bignewy, im well aware of that process, I'm seeking clarification of what full fidility is because the branding of the product from day one has been full fidility to most long term customers will think A10C/KA50 etc level. I also note from the sales blurb - Fully interactive and highly detailed cockpit based on 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry. "Fully interactive" to me, means full fidelity, it does not imply that important panels such as fuel shut off and air relight would be not available or not able to interactive with. These are vital and basic controls for any simulation, surely? What im seeking is a clarification of just what the "full fidility" level is for this module and at this stage you haven't answered that, rather pointed me to the module being well received. I have also stated in my post many positive aspects and recommend buying it, but that is not my point. Please can you provide clarification to the original question please - also i would like to have this conversation in detail here, rather than the thread be closed down and locked and then it has to be discussed elsewhere outside of ED control. Many thanks Bignewy, as i said this is not a hate post, i've very much been defending ED online with the product and privately saying its worth getting, but its not just me seeking clarification on what the level of full fidility means, and is this the standard now going forward. This is not about EA, or my lack of understanding or patience for that process, to say otherwise is not accurate or factual. PS can i also ask why the change of title has gone from what i posted - "Mig 29 Full fidelity or just an EA issue - is this product more realistically medium fidelity" it was changed from my orignal title to "the good, the bad and the ugly" for a few mins then to "customer feedback" all whilst i was writing this reply?! Changing this to customer feedback is just going to get the post swamped with various other issues - this is a very specific point. Please can you title the post back to the actual point i was raising - "Full Fidility"
  14. Right on! The aircraft is beautiful absolute joy to fly and the rest will come with time. Once again thnx to the devs for bringing this beauty into our lives as aviation enthusiasts
  16. Hi all, I have a rather peculiar problem, but perhaps this is normal. Im running on a radeon RC6800 with 16GB VRAM In single player I get ~100 FPS, with 80% GPU utilization and 10GB VRAM used. In multiplayer (the rotorheads server), I get ony 30-ish FPS, and VRAM is maxed (16GB used), GPU utilization is very low, about 30%. I suppose the VRAM is limiting performance, but I could be wrong. I understand there is more happening around in multiplayer, but this difference seems extreme. Are there any settings I can tweak to prevent the VRAM filling up like this? With kind regards
  17. Eh, I've read/heard cases where it isnt the case. If not, just locking would put the enemy on the defensive. Its not that simple
  18. The entire airframe is very different
  19. This is really impressive work, beautiful
  20. Nevermind, looks like TiC mod was causing the issue. The only mods I use are TACVIEW, SRS and VAICOMPRO. Thanks.
  21. With the only difference between PDI before and after launch is the use of burst ranging while the missile is off? How often would it need to do burst ranging to improve accuracy? I wouldn't say it does it in intervals <1sec. The RWR would've to fulfill, 2 conditions. STT and nonRG HPRF (if no burst rangine after x amount if time). Imo, it is pushing it on hypotheticals. Not even more advanced and complex RWRs of western were able to know if there's launch as you can read on the Tornado F3 Tacman.
  22. The effect in VR is brilliant but the reflections a bit to much. If they tone it down a bit the reading of instruments becomes a lot better and it would be perfect.
  23. Mig-29A was just released, keep an eye on the Actions in the projec GitHub here and wait untill they integrate the new plane.
  24. Same here. It would be also dealbreaker for me, if completely encrypted, and I decided to wait and see. True, it's slightly more expensive, but as long ED keep mod-friendly environment, I'll keep supporting them
  25. Please lets not call community members names. You are welcome to give your feedback good and bad, but it seems you expected more from early access, even though we made it very clear on our shop, or forums posts, and our change logs when we delivered what was ready and what was not. If your expectations were not met I am sorry to hear that. I don't think I have to say this to you as you have been a long time poster here but early access doesn't suit everyone, but it is required for a good product, we get to release our work in progress, we listen to feedback from the community and over time the product gets even better. The Mig-29A launch has been very well received by most people, messages here on the forum, discord and social media have been great to see and it really gives the team a boost, so to everyone who reached out to us, thank you. Thank you
