  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, and they released a whole document too which holds multiple documents regarding the seeker itself from early development stages(why they chose this and that) to late production(tests). Along with meetings with americans throughout these, from comparing to the sparrow E and to the F in clutter, noise, MLC rejections, seeker ranges etc and mentions of the M but sadly nothing as the M was still in early development but they knew it was a slotted array antenna with 4channels for monopulse tracking.
  3. null1. 'normal view' shows (a bit faint) the HMD centre is about 20 degrees off the horizon, too high. 2. Altered view, with the Quest 3 black interface removed so that the lens unit can be swivelled down, bringing the HMD to the correct azimuth. Note: this has no effect on the head position. Head (and VR headset) remains in same position when you tilt down the lens unit, ony the HMD display moves. This is why changing the cockpit camera vew settings will not cure this problem. Flying in a darkened room without the interface attached is not so much of a problem, but when you have light streaming in a lot of the immersion is lost. I am purchasing a different silicpne interfact to see if that improves things, but what would be good is an aligment setting in-game to resolve this problem. It's probably not a widespread issue amongst many headset brands, but its challenging for Quest 3 users - one of the most widely used cost-effective headsets currently in the market.
  4. nullDeclassified Polish front(group of armies) plan. Notice D and number - that's objectives on day of operation. ROE is mutually nuclear.
  5. So... I sort of had this bug a few different ways having gone through the prescribed started up procedure: - the first time, was when i was using VIACOM and Voice attack, and forgot that the Salute trigger does not work when using VIACOM (dumb me) - the second time, i used a mapped button for a salute, but I waited, to move until i had fully finished my ground checks, a little while after the Graphic shows the Yellow shirt saying ready to taxi... and Olive gets hung up in the same way - similarly, if you don't taxi until Olive is taxing her and the S3 and you all seem to end up in a deadlock ... - the only reliable way to ensure that it all works, that i can see is that as soon as you get the yellow shirt image, start your taxi request, then it all seems to go fine this sort of clashes with a note in the briefing document which implies you should wait for Olive to take off before you Taxi... side note 1 (in all cases the Yellow shirt image is with you right up until just after the cat launch) which is a bit ... "irritating" visually, as the image blocks sight to taxi directors side note 2 we seem to wait a long time for the launch of Switchblade, with power down except battery ( because we don't permission from the ground crew because they are dealing with the Buccaneers) so no power to comms ... but we still get the Switch Blade comms but not the AirBoss comms to Switchblade..
  6. As far as I know, the MiG 23 marks the target with a dot. Will this feature be available on the MiG 29, or is it not available at all?
  7. As I see in your mission the beacons are switched off. Activate the beacons as described in the opening post of this thread.
  8. Can anyone check - I can't ATM - if the problem is only there when using QuadViews? So if Secondary shadows on and quadviews off - does it still crash?
  10. Awesome! Cant wait for it! Last Hurrah for Harrier and Mirage 2000!
  11. You can use it, it was released by them. Though I dont know if there are more pages, I'm sorry. British were well aware of issues and limitations on the SPO15-RADAR-JAMMER interference and bunch of other stuff well before the fall of the USSR. They really knew the opponent once you read the whole section, how the spo15 looked and showed, radar worked, frequencies, jammer, IRSTS etc. To quote the very nicely detailed 1987 F3 TACMAN which has been declassified
  12. Someone on Redditt mentioned it may be linked with the vertical resolution of the Quest 3 display, so it may well be fine in other headsets. I know due to astigmatism in my own eyes I have to have the Quest 3 lenses totally perpendicular to my eyeball alignment to get good crisp focus straight ahead, so its a particular issue for me which means the view a little above and a little below the centr line is not so well focused. Im not sure you could pick up the VR headset position in a track view? If I knew how to record in VR I could post a short clip. I can try to replicate it with a coouple of screenshots ...
  13. Maybe we’ll see the overall capabilities some CCAs after they enter service in a few years. But only god knows whether or not we will exactly how CCAs integrate with the F35s avionics and PVI within the next decade.
  14. www.songofthenibelungs.airgoons.com Discord invite: https://discord.gg/4Sx5RGdD The Song of the Nibelungs is the next Wargame project from Air Goons, starting in October! Focusing on central and northern Germany in 1986, the war becomes decidedly not Cold. An exercise conducted by NATO causes suspicion among Warsaw Pact leaders, which in turn makes NATO decision makers believe they need to initiate their war plans. A series of confusions leads to NATO forces attacking at Fulda Gap, and the war begins. For DCS specifically you got: F-4 F-16 F-14 (as tornado) A-4 (as AlphaJet) F-15 F-104 Mod Mirage 2000 Mirage F1 F-18 Harrier A-10 Viggen. That's right, Sweden joined NATO and now somehow are leading the charge to East Germany. Alt history can be wack. We got commanders, pilots, players, generals, truckers, and just spectators. We welcome everyone who can abide by rules, and we don't require any formal signup or commitment. For modpacks, we use some custom liveries, and low digit SAM mod, F-104, A-4. Helicopters might have a role but there is an organizational challenge to incorporating them.
  15. Oh really??? Right, thanks will do that. I wonder why the person who created the checklists used .jpeg then.
  16. no, not exactly. see here. Its a mounting plate cutting vector i designed to make it compatible to Monstertech aluminium profiles. Mtech Adapterplate_measurements.pdf STOCK UPDATE Monster Rhino Kitbase. One Standard and one Premium Edition are in stock ready to ship shortly
  17. It's soldered to the same cable as second button. Pilot in Ru forums said you can normally use either button but for consistency of procedures everybody agreed to use button 2 both for takeoff and landing. The block is re-used from MiG-23 where takeoff and landing settings were indeed different.
  19. Yes. In main menu select TRAINING and then the first training mission that is listed. There will be only 2. You can't keep MiG-29A straight in flight like you can do with F-16CM when joystick is released. Only autopilot. Trimming in flight is almost constant and you must never take your hand off the joystick. MiG-29 is not fly-by-wire. It is raw, wild beast. So whatever you do with trimming, plane will still bank a tinny little. Or pitch. You counter this with joystick inputs.
  20. I don't understand a word but here's some good info for you:
  21. 10cm 100 0 But it depends 100% on your own setup and your own preferences. Use whatever works for you
  22. Today
  23. are you talking about the training mission for cold&dark? If so, the bank thing is stillt present as you will alter the trim. Hey @Jef Costello, the folder with the default.lua file is located here Your Harddrive\ DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\MiG-29-Fulcrum\Input\MiG-29-Fulcrum\keyboard and you'll find the trim sensitivity in the following lines aileron trim: Line 111&112 pitch trim: Line 109&110
  24. I reverted back 2 versions to try replaying the track to see if the problem goes away in the older version and it didn’t bug out this time. Although the track doesn’t replay consistently at all so I’ll have to replay the mission again to be sure reverting the DCS version fixes it for now.
  25. I don't think so. You can use mission planner before the start. Most realistic is of course the briefing info which should tell/show your starting position and how to move on.
  26. Alrighty then. Would *I* love such a feature? Yes! Would *I* treat such a feature as more than a gimmick? Yes! One of the drawbacks of the way we enter the cockpit now after clicking “Fly” on the briefing screen, is that you have no idea where are are parked in relation to the active runway. Sure, you can open the F10 map and find out that way, but with all the issues that has (overexposure upon re-entering the cockpit, VRAM usage) I’d rather not do that unless I *really* have to. Perhaps this walk around will help in that regard
