Pantsir and Tor M2 shoot down Hellfires
lee1hy replied to Ian Boys UK's topic in Currenthill Asset Packs
It's an upgraded 2020 S1, not a DCS age https://t.me/bomber_fighter/22294 Russia has been continuously upgrading the Pantisir S1 because its performance was too poor. Recently, its performance has improved, increase shoot down rate. -
Question - What is it? (next to HUD)
LetMePickThat replied to vctpil's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
As someone said above, it's closer to the IR tracking bases used for some VR headsets - it's the same technology. TrackIR also uses IR tracking (shocker !), but it does not rely on mechanical tracking. See this high framerate IR video of an HTC Vive (= Steam VR) tracking base. -
VR stuttering - less cores, less stuttering (to a point)
Qcumber replied to NeinNineNiner's topic in VR Bugs
The new nly way to reduce ghosting and smearing with DLAA/DLSS is to increase resolution. I would suggest trying Quad Views Foveated Rendering in fixed mode so you can set the centre resolution to about 1.5 and the periphery to about 0.5. this will reduce the artifacts. You can also use DLSS quality. -
cashman75 started following Storing Modifier / Modifiers on Device Profile
-
Hi, currently modifiers set up for a device (stick/throttle) is stored under modifiers.lua file. Sometimes when the GUID of a device changes, we have to set the modifier again. While it's a simple process who knows what he/she's doing, it might be hard for newcomers. Also it makes harder to share a device profile if there is a modifier in it. Therefore it might be useful to store the modifier value in the device profile (i.e. stick, throttle) This setting would make profile sharing easier and get rid of the "set up the modifier again" step when the GUID of the device changes in the Windows. It might be set as a flag in the Control Menu / Device Column and then it's saved in the device profile so when you load the profile again, you automatically set the modifier etc... Best regards,

Reshade VR Enhancer Mod (VREM)
lefuneste01 replied to lefuneste01's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Could you please go to "debug option" and tick "debug message in log...", select also debanding, save mod option, relaunch game, go to cockpit, then go to "debug" VREM menu, push button "capture frame", set the option "display stencil mask" on, have a look in VR, set this option off and quit game. Then post here reshade.log, DCS_VREM.ini, DCS_VREM_techniques.ini as your "option.lua" file and report if you saw the mask (red, green, blues areas) on all eyes/all regions. -

It does work in the Ka-50 III. Maybe it's more visible in the video with MiG because it also seems to have some reflective, brighter elements, but you're right, it's a false alarm. It's not distracting, although it does draw attention to the fact that something is moving. It's fine in VR too! Thanks for the tip!

Довольно странная реакция на то что было известно всегда. Еще в далеком 2009-10 .. в руководстве к А-10С было черным по белому на писано. null

There's some informations in the Readme file https://github.com/landre-cerp/McduDcsBiosBridge i suspect misconfig in the config.json to point to the dcsbios files. Let me know if it helps.

One could say that ED themselves are missing out a lot on the idea of merchandising, though. Thing is, though, I personally would rather have something DCS inspired than a mere company logo.

terain tex at high texures medium water medium clouds medium view in distance medium no traffic 20% grass DLAA no dlss ( to blurry) so no upscalling no shadows in the quest 2 at 72 hz you only can go to 1.3 dcs pixel density is at 1.0 -
Any plans to implement a GPU like the Mirage F1 or F4 has it? If we need it for start up, why not having one visible for realism/immersion?! Cheers
-
I don't think it is a big deal, they real pilots have it and it is not a problem for them, I think it will be a bit distracting for 30 minutes and then, we will forget about it

Suggestion: Su-25A Full Fidelity after the MiG-29A FF?
Silver_Dragon replied to R_0xD's topic in Su-25 for DCS World
Has claimed by ED as others, but actualy has no confirmed, yet. Of course as Wags has talked, if resources, time, dev team and available info. I think that sooner or later all FC aircraft (A-10A/F-15C/Mig-29A/G/S/Su-25A/Su-27S/Su-33) will come to DCS World as full fidelity modules sooner or later. -
it is something to consider. they need to be sure it is comercialy good but they also need to have the infos, if they don't have the one or the other, they will not make the module, if they have both, they will certainly do it. I think information is a problem for some red modules and will be the main problem for a moment, thats why our most modern aircraft for DCS is the mig 29A which is from 1980s. Infos for the mig 29 G or S are available, for su 27, I don't know and for su 25 I think enough infos are available but i'm not sure.

Merch and its logistics shouldn't be mandatory to be included in the product or the modules would have a prohibitive pricetag in certain parts of the world. One can easily buy patches of all kinds on the internet of all sorts of authenticity or make their own to celebrate the experience, memories or to enrich their own rig space. Certain editions available for those who want to pay more and receive certain merchs alongside with, it is sure very welcome.

ACH-47F - Fictional Mod based on CH-47F
ANDR0ID replied to ANDR0ID's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Can be compatible with the MH-47 mod, but would require updates to the CH-47.lua to support both simultaneously... possible at the user level, and I can look into making it "backwards compatible" so to speak in the future update. The right side M-134, and ramp M3M, can be mounted, again by editing CH-47.lua, but I left them out intentionally as I suspected they would cause most users frustration from not working properly. -

I thought main reason for not getting more advanced Soviet aircrafts was "lack" of information ?
-
Hello everyone, With the upcoming release of the MiG-29A in full fidelity, many of us are curious to see how well it performs commercially. If it turns out to be successful, I would like to propose an idea to Eagle Dynamics: developing a Su-25A in full fidelity. Why the Su-25A? Reusing assets: ED is already working on a remake of the Su-25 for the Flaming Cliffs series. That means the 3D models and textures will already be brought up to modern standards. For a full fidelity version, the focus would mainly be on programming and systems, reducing the need for extensive art development. Gameplay diversity: On the RedFor/USSR side, there is a clear lack of full fidelity strike aircraft. The Su-25A would bring much-needed variety and serve as a true counterpart to the A-10C for air-to-ground operations, while keeping its Soviet identity. Historical value and immersion: The Su-25 is an iconic aircraft, still in use by multiple countries today. A full fidelity version would greatly enrich campaigns and scenarios on the eastern side. In short: if the MiG-29A FF sells well, the Su-25A FF could be a logical next step for ED—one that provides a lot of value to players while minimizing redundant development work. What do you think?

Can't trim for level flight at higher speeds/throttle
unicorndog replied to unicorndog's topic in DCS: CH-47F
It definitely happens once the LCT is maxed. I have only vague understanding, mostly from watching that video several times, that the it tilts the rotor heads so you don't have to have such a tilted attitude. Obviously, once its fully extended, it can't support more speed, but I'm not clear on why this should max out the force trim that every other DCS helo (with no LCT) has preventing it from maintaining altitude with a more nose down attitude.
