  1. Past hour
  2. Thanks for that Mdr_D_Kll, I thought maybe I was doing something wrong...good to know at least. I'll try flying over the air field and take them out just for the fun of it!!
  3. OK, thanks, sounds reasonable. Without access to the full radar specs it is likely impossible to determine if increased radar reflectivity due to antenna elevation/focus and increased attenuation due to greater distances from the emitter factor into each other "correctly". More so due to DCS engine limitations.
  4. Sorry, will try to refrain from suggesting it
  5. Hi we need more German and Allied AI aircraft ie G series 109's and A series 190's im totally bored with the same old aircraft two of which really had no bearing on the air war from Normandy onwards How about some spit V's etc for channel map? The list is endless.....1 German bomber aircraft in years is pathetic tbh
  6. Ok, your method was going via Tacview. Any idea to get the data from DCS definition files like Weapons.lua? For example in the Harrier Weapons.lua you found Cx = 0.000160
  7. Thanks Zabuzard, that was helpful.
  8. What do wrong, so the IR version is not usable?
  9. They depend on the weapon. For the Mk-82, for example, you can obtain charts like the below (x-axis: Mach, y-axis: cx) from having the AI mass drop the weapons and determining/calculating cx for different Mach numbers from Tacview telemetry.
  10. Ok. So let me tell you this - neither correlation matters. You fly by the units. Not only F-5E real flight manual doesn't bother with a conversion table or tape. There used to be a thread on this citing FMs of even newer machines with the same caveat. I am aware of the subject, I'm allergic to arbitrary, vague units and I've never seen a single reference pointing to a conversion data set. Because it does not matter in real flying. Hell, you can do a quick conversion yourself. Note down 5 pairs of units vs aoa (from the in-game info bar) and just dump it into excel. Insert a trend line with the option to reveal the equation. Done. I'm guessing it's always linear, so you can draf t a quick conversion tape like this
  11. This is not even completely true. So called FF detailed airplanes don't even have basic stuff modeled correctly, like IFF, ECM, RWR, pitot tube freezing, engine surges and so on.
  12. Это битва РКН, провайдеров и операторов сотовых сетей… Нам не понять.
  13. I’m happy with my BSB2e. In DCS glare isn’t any issue for me. I can see it some menus but not in game. I hope the DFR will work in the future te able to increase the resolution, it’s already great but when I turn it up to 150% it gets really crisp.
  14. Look, I can send you the entire pilot's manual "L-18 aircraft handling" Yugoslav markings for the MiG29. In the entire manual for pilots, the only place where it is mentioned that Beryoza should be turned off, and the pilot should do it manually, is when the command to turn on the radar does not pass during guidance from the ground. I hope you agree with me that the manual for an airplane contains all the possible instructions for using that airplane and all the restrictions. I see that you mention Kosovo, better said the War with Yugoslavia because of Kosovo, there are testimonies of pilots who flew MiG29 in those days and who clearly mention that during the radar search they received a signal that they were locked by enemy planes. Pilot Abdul Emeti gives a statement that at the moment when he had a lock on enemy aircraft, he received a signal that the enemy had locked on him and he started an evasive maneuver. I assume you know that Yugoslavian MiG 29s were hardly maintained in the period from 1991-1999 due to sanctions, so it cannot be said that the SPO on them was improved. And yes, I would like to see your sources where it is written that during the use of the Mig29 radar, the SPO 15 device does not work in the front observation hemisphere. And one more thing, after the last patch, when the enemy plane locks the Mig 29 in STT mode, any light stops shining on the SPO. KRU na MiG (1).docx
  15. You obfuscate the point. A MIL - is also 1' @ 1,000', as in MIL rings on a gunsight. Flat human sight is 52.5 MIL, or 52.5 ft. @ 1,000 ft./1° of angle. 1X view. If the images you see on your monitor are not that, they are modified and distorted. Regardless of the image size, postage stamp to jumbo-tron, or viewing distance, 30" or 30'. 52.5 MIL's Bowie
  16. Works great. I appreciate your help.
  17. Big thank you to everyone for replying and sharing your knowledge. I'm starting to align with the missile INS (no pun intended) being somehow skewed at launch and/or the missile radar not being able to distinguish non-moving targets from one another at certain ranges. I am mostly trying to reconcile how the RF missile on the rail can be actively tracking the target before launch then seemingly lose the target and switch to another before impact. Do any of you guys know if the DCS Apache RF missiles actually model Doppler beam sharpening? In theory, if a RF missile is launched with an aspect angle to the target (rather than a direct line of sight), the missile's radar can achieve higher target fidelity by factoring in radial velocity to the target. Firing a RF missile in the direct line of sight (relative to the helo's longitudinal axis) presents a difficult task to the missile's Doppler radar in regard to non-moving targets. A fixed wing fighter uses this Doppler radar weakness when 'notching' or maintaining a constant radius from the attacking aircraft's radar in order to defeat an incoming enemy missile. The DCS Apache manual does go in to detail about Doppler beam sharpening but I'm just not sure the principle is actually modeled with RF missiles in the sim.
  18. There are sales all the time, so probably. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  19. I will take a look ASAP Edit: I just tested the same livery as you, and have no problem. Maybe do you have some mod that interfere with it? I remember having this issue wit the mod from damientrix where the Jaguar had the barax too and it caused this kind of bug. here a screen from DCS null
  20. You have your own bombing calculator? What are your Cx values for your calculator?
  21. The SET option appears only in RWS mode. When switch to TWS it changes to AUTO/MAN. So setup the radar in RWS and once done, switch to TWS. You can also use DCS-DTC to automate this and various other stuff until ED adds it natively.
  22. I don't really use the Launcher, but most mods show up in the Module Manager in the game. If you're talking about how to sort on your disk, just give them numbers and alphabetical folder names. Simple as that. Windows naming conventions apply. Before I compile a mod zip, I give the root folder name like core, tech, liveries, etc. And I use a mod manager for Saved Games mods too. I have full control. The way you're doing it is way too cumbersome for more than 10 mods for me, even if I was to use batch files or scripts. A mod manager is basically that, only with a GUI. If you plan accordingly, everything can be enabled/disabled with a few clicks. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  23. On another note. I really like how on the exterior model when you cycle through the IRST modes you can see the seeker move. In IRST search you will see it move side to side and up and down as it scans, and in IRST cc it fixes forward and moves up and down at a faster pace. It's subtle, but if you look closely you'll see it.
  24. I don't know but earlier today I waited 2 hours on the chat system and failed to get a human, that after waiting 2 days for a ticket reply. I would say it is unacceptable for such a high value product which has known quality issues.
  25. Hi, as others have mentioned please check for double inputs on axis, more than one controller on the same input. When we test all seems ok. thank you
