The Scripts folder (if that's what you mean) doesn't go under the Mods folder. The bhHook.lua file under those folders goes into the Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\Hooks folder (same structure as in the zip file). This is so that when DCS exports stuff like the enemy units the hook is used by the mod for the gunners to know where they are.

On that note: Moved the 'eyeball' forward, to the edge of the pilot exterior at 30° below Panel View, and down a bit, to improve direct shooting. Did I make a Mistake Windows 10 to 11

Doing a fresh installation of Windows is an old outdated procedure, too drastic and no longer needed if upgrading Windows 10 to 11. All you need to do is simple and is called an "in-place repair install", to repair/reinstall all components and system files to the current version of Windows that you have on your device, while preserving all of your apps, games, documents, settings, etc (so, nothing is lost). Windows 11 has a built in feature for doing this "in-place repair install" that I describe. It's found in Settings > System > Recovery , and is called "Fix problems using Windows Update": https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-issues-by-reinstalling-the-current-version-of-windows-497ac6da-7cac-4641-82a5-f50398d879a0 Just make sure to keep your PC connected to the internet during this procedure, and also to a power source if it's a laptop (do not do this solely on battery!). And be patient... (takes a moment while reinstalling files) Then it'll be just like a fresh OS installation, but without the horrible cost of losing everything. Please note that this particular feature exhists only on Windows 11 24H2, or 22H2 and 23H2 with the optional February 2024 update (KB5034848 apparently). This is not present in Windows 10 (can also be done but it's a little more involved there). This can also be useful if reusing a working Windows installation on completely different system hardware, such as when upgrading your system to a brand new CPU+Motherboard+GPU+RAM combo (though does not excuse installing respective drivers, and readjust software that had been set to different hardware). -

I think whether you play MP is a question of age. The younger generations who grew up with the internet seem to love it. Older geezers like me, who grew up in a world without the internet and smartphones, still prefer real-life activities with flesh-and-blood people and only go online for their own enjoyment. -
It’s possible about the toe brakes. The F/A-18C, when setting up my controls, I ran into slow acceleration and had to invert the toe brakes. The way I found out was I taxied with the toe brakes depressed and I knew right away the issue. Hope this helps.

there isn't a native DCS solution to this, the best alternative is to download Reshade an UI-mask to boost gain/contrast/gamma. Check this thread for instructions:

This is what I don't understand. Rather than just make it adjustable, for whatever reason it seems to be more important to argue that it doesn't happen on the Pimax Crystal. The only possible reason for that I can think of is someone is getting paid to promote Pimax Crystals. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though, I'd absolutely love to know. -
My current settings in SteamVR for DCS are as follows can be seen in the attachment. I have stable 75fps and it runs smoothly on an extended foothold germany map with 8-10 players. I do not use any additional tools as of now. nullnullnullnull

No idea ? As the original settings displays MFDs opaque (but unfortunately too small) it has to be possible somehow.

Ceiling cannot be set correctly in feet either, if that's what you implied? Do I understand correctly that DCS is not and will not be able to set ceilings below 500m/1650ft when you say that the limitation needs to be reflected in the ME? Like, instead of fixing this issue at the core? Or is this something that we can expect to see in DCS 3.0? -

Hi all. Have been having trouble with this screen on the left. I have had on and off trouble with these screens for years. Even replacing one or both(cant remember. Left one seems to often have this incorrect colour problem. With the F16 MFD exported it doesn't show red. With an F18 MFD export it is so dim I can't use it. I've played with all the settings. But I have a feeling it is a hardware problem. Off the top of your head, has anyone seen or know how to rectify? Thanks

Try as I might, whist touching down in zone, I do not seem able to get the hook to catch a wire Examining a replay of my attempts seems to show that touch down onto main wheels immediately forces nose wheel down lifting the hook over the wires. Anyone suggest a better technique for trapping on a carrier Cheers Oh! And… I’ve not managed to connect with the carrier on Comms yet using 227.5 Mhz?

In the 2000s the Su-33 got something similar to the angle rate bomb sight that allowed them to do really accurate daytime dumb bombing. Also the Pastel RWR.

Eine grössere SSD könnte noch was bringen, falls man sie günstig bekommt und sie sich ohne grössere Klimmzüge einbauen kann. Ansonsten müsste man komplett, CPU, GPU, Board, RAM etc updaten, was kaum Sinn macht. Dann besser ein neues System und den PC als Backup nutzen oder für einen guten Zweck stiften.

The Flanker DOES bring more features though. If the FC3 version is anything to go by, we have a datalink for enhanced situational awareness in the Flanker. The Flanker also has significantly greater range and more hardpoints than the Fulcrum as well When you are taking off from a carrier, but you can take off and land from land bases as well in the Su-33. During operations in Syria the initial strikes were launched from the carrier Admiral Kuznetsov but the Su-33 were subsequently deployed to Hmeymim air base where they performed 90% of their combat missions. With the Admiral Kuznetsov now out of commission for the foreseeable future the aircraft now operates from land bases exclusively. I'd like to add that the Su-33 is also air refuellable so that is another additional feature that would be added if we get a full fidelity version.

I can’t solve the problem that the door gunners are not working: AI dooes’t do anything and if I am sitting on one of the gunners seats, the Gatling can’t be moved by me. But as a pilot I can fire/use them if the doors guns are in pilot-mode. May be that I made a mistake when I have installed the mod by using the downloaded file UH60L 2.1.5 BACKUP IF INSTALLER FAILS.zip . Both folders (aircraft and script) are under the folder „mod“. Besides: the dispenser doesn‘t dispense automatically under the setting PGRM but may be the real helicopter also doesn‘t support automatic dispense if a SAM is firing at you…. I really love this mod although I have bought 4 helicopters in DCS.

There are other options for the above scenario. You could lock this far away but visible target with helmet and change mode to IRST search for radar ranging, or do the same with OPT or IRST vertical scan. OPT is most precise

Instead of complaints I'd rather suggest to use what' avaialable right now: There's a wonderful CW germany map, the new MiG-29 Fulcrum, the improved F-16 ect. I'm rather waiting for the usual suspects to issue a new CW Germany theatre pre WWIII campaign. Why not generate a new CW Germany campaign that turns cold war into "Hot War Germany 1985"? May be a fictional scenario like in James Bond 1983 Octopussy when some mad russian general tries to ignite a nuclear war head in West Germany to start a hot war? Or what about a "Fulda Gap becomes Real" or "West Berlin 1986 nuked" scenario? The tools are there.

If you don't see any lag in singleplayer then it is just an issue with multiplayer in DCS in general. It's been around since I started playing DCS in 2014. Sometimes it gets better during certain updates and other times it gets worse. The only time I managed to get rid of stuttering in multiplayer was during a brief moment during DCS 1.5 when I bought 128gb of RAM that I used on an older PC.

@Av8trI don't see any lags in the single version. all drivers are updated to the latest versions (even tried beta versions) if I set all the settings to the absolute minimum, the situation does not change. at a minimum, 2 GB of Vram is used out of 12
