I concur. Is this matter even settled in court yet? When will it be? ...and what does ED plan to do with those mods in the future? Why can't these questions be answered?

non aircraft specific. just the General controls. the aircraft binds work with everything. it’s just specifically the “General” binds that don’t work with the controller or mouse.

Tobse started following Pimax Play v1.41.1
-
Just saw the update and gave it a try, both pimax play and firmware update. Sadly, I got the laggy headtracking again that has been a recurring theme whenever I upgrade from Version 1.36.01.01.02. This is also present in the DeoVR video player and makes it and DCS practically unusable. Downgrading to 1.36 is a routine operation for me by now, so the whole thing is just one hour of hope and disappointment. This round allowed me to upgrade to the 1.08 firmware, and I have not seen any downsides of that yet. Take care, Tobse!

kazak started following Visual Clarity in VR
-
I’ve been a VR DCS player for 4 years. I play a couple times a week. I’ve really struggled with plane recognition in VR and it’s probably my greatest source of dissatisfaction with the experience. I figured this was just the limit of VR, at least with my setup of a OQ3 and a 4090. Just for something different I tried IL2 last night. I don’t even know which one. It was my first time. It was a completely different experience. I was able to ID BF109s from YAKs, FW190s from 109s and even discern the yellow nose art on planes at much further ranges with no issues. Maybe this is the wrong place for this comment. It’s not my intent to throw shade. I only want to make my DCS experience better. But what’s going on?? This feels like much more of a bug than a wish list request. Why is it so hard to see plane details. It’s like everything is blurry.
-
Yes, it is possible. You can lock onto completely still ships out on the water as well.
-
A bit scared to hear you that, I do not own the 339, but I'm looking forward to try the G.91.
-
You'll really like mission 7.

missing info Radio stops working after a couple of minutes
Mac D replied to Mac D's topic in General Bugs
F#<k me sideways ... radio's between aircraft and refueler work. Don't ask me what I did, because I really don't know. (Can't upload the track ... to big ) -
Can you also try renaming (DCS will create a new one) your Saved Games\DCS\launcher.sqlite3 file and starting DCS again.

JuiceIsLoose replied to NineLine's topic in RAZBAM
I'm not asking for a public fight, I'm asking for transparency about why (4) of the modules are about to be deprecated. Asking you to put yourself in others shoes, try to understand where the community that you manage is coming from. -
Night ops cockpit, model vs real one.

need track replay Why do my Mavericks keep missing?
Ivandrov replied to Madman1's topic in Bugs and Problems
I regularly launch from above 20,000. I don't think that was your issue. More likely keyhole constraints as noted above. -
Yeah, those values look fine, by the looks of it those are device identifiers. Just spitballing, could you reinstall the drivers of the sound card? The issue could be on the relation DCS <-> Sound card drivers
-
I only ask as it’s my belief that there is little incentive for you to release it when you have what amounts to a paid subscription to use it currently. That coupled with the new module, I’m just not seeing how you can manage both projects

Light attack aircraft for counter-insurgency mission
MiG21bisFishbedL replied to Supernova-III's topic in DCS 2.9
Good to know, that's a damn ocean of fuel and an excellent point, going to add that as an addendum. -
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add reasonably realistic night sky and milky way. I am new to DCS and find it quite awesome and beautiful in VR. However, I was flying a night mission at 34,000 AGL in the incredible raven one fury campaign and the DCS night sky was completely immersion breaking! You got the clouds, the sea, and the moon, all perfect and intoxicating in VR, and then the night sky is totally lame. I guess if you are located in Moscow or another big city, with extreme light pollution, it is maybe possible that you have no idea what I am talking about, maybe you have never actually seen more than 50 faint stars above your head at once, but there are actually stars up there and they should look glorious from high altitude. look it up. I am aware people are complaining about this for a long time, and I find it quite puzzling you have not fixed it yet. PLEASE HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT IN 2025 THE AWESOME DCS WORLD HAS SUCH LAME INEXCUSABLE NIGHT SKY ?!?

This is what was shown in the trailer, two types of cargo on pallets and the Mother of all bombs: I am also personally waiting for this (this is a very old screenshot, from 2016, and it is not a preview, mod perhaps.):
-

New questions about processors: i5 14600K and 9900X
mkel2010 replied to talvikko's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
With the Intel chip you'll only get 20 PCie lanes versus 24 with the AMD chip. The number of PCie lanes in an important consideration, particularly with the video card you plan to use and any nVMe drives you plan. Depending on the motherboard and the configuration you chose, you could be in a situation where your video card is running at x8 vs x16 when coupled with nVMe drives. You're planning to spend money on a good video card so you don't want to box yourself into using half its capabilities at the very start (with the Intel chip.) An advantage to using the AMD chip is the motherboard socket. Intel boards change sockets every few years while AMD has stuck with the AM5 socket for a number of years and apparently has no plans to change it. What that boils down to is if you want to upgrade your CPU in a couple of years, you only need to buy the chip and not a whole system. -
Oh wth, I’ll break what I said before and reply to this. How much is bs? All of it. Two basic reasons: Anyone can post derisive descriptions of what companies do to maximize profits and call it “penny pinching”. One could describe Razbam’s history in DCS by saying they’ve cut more and more from the initial promises they made module-by-module until that has now culminated in them quitting a module halfway through, and I could claim that was what I’d expect from a dev with a long term plan to rip people off. I don’t think that’s what happened because I don’t think Zambrano thinks that far ahead, but it’s easy to tar a business with that brush. As for the claim that ED should just concede the IP claim since it’s such a small number: I’ve got a smaller number: ZERO. That’s what it would cost Razbam to allow ED access to the source codes so that they could maintain them. Customers get a little certainty and it doesn’t cost Zambrano a dime. People should be very clear on this when they apportion blame: The only reason these modules are in jeopardy is because Razbam has chosen to make it so.
