  1. Past hour
  2. Down to volunteer my time to help with VO's, I have a nice yeti mic. American male, 27.
  3. I thought there was a statement that ED made stating a settlement was reached at the end of 2024 to resolve the dispute. Understanding the confidentiality, my question is "There is still no resolution?" Sorry, just confused.
  4. It's a bit of a speculative point, seeing how the Ka-50 entered service only in 1995.
  5. If it's the one I think it is, you'll only stumble upon it when pilot's body is on and flight stick is hidden. Otherwise you'll never see it. I also believe it got fixed after few years in -C and "only" affects -ZA now (?)
  6. Hi Airbarba. Be patient, the MRTT mod is on the way.... Regards
  7. First ever DCS module with 4 engines.. im all here for it. Also first ever turboprop fixed wing. As all the other prop aircraft are piston inlines and radials.. Very neat on many levels. I truly believe I will enjoy this much more than the hook for doing Logistics. Especially with the LAIRCM system protecting the super herc, Im so hyped!
  8. I agree that understanding someone else's code for a DCS module is challenging due to the need for deep knowledge of the DCS API and aircraft systems. However, having access to the source code offers significant advantages: Learning Curve: Reduces the time needed to understand the API and systems by about 50%. Debugging: Makes debugging easier, potentially cutting time by 30%. Customization: Allows for tailored modifications, increasing productivity by around 40%. Community Collaboration: Enhances development speed through collaboration, improving efficiency by an additional 20%.
  9. I'm just so happy, that we finally get to fly "big birds" in the DCS environment. No discussion, that logistic is a vital (actually the most vital) part of any military operation... but even without that, I'm thrilled that we get the Herc!
  10. I was gonna say! I think @Moxica missed the memo! [emoji1] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  11. It works like a more advanced NS430,so GNSS is required,it talk and exchange some data from some aircraft systems, but mainly datalink and combat stuff, sadly I guess INS position is not one of them. The best thing u can do is set ABRIS heading from true to mag in the option page,so it still shows ur heading on it.
  12. What @Yurgon writes. You don't have to worry at all. Unfortunately, you must pay a little attention when it finally arrives. It's a Steam issue, and nothing new. The question and complains always drops when there's a pre-order. [emoji4] You know you can switch, right? [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  13. It can happen with ANY other third party, is the nature of the model.
  14. I can't help thinking that people are making some questionable assumptions about the merits of having access to module source code if a developer stops support. Even if you have the complete, up-to-date code, maintaining it may be a real struggle. Trying to make sense of someone else's code for something as complex as a DCS module, when you not only have to have a deep understanding of the DCS API, but of the particular systems on the aircraft being modelled, could prove very tricky, or on occasion even impossible - with the best will in the world, a developer is unlikely to have put the effort into documenting everything to the extent that an outsider can simply pick up the code and 'fix' it when issues arise. The developers don't have any real incentive to do so, and documenting things takes time away from the more profitable business of getting the product out the door. Clearly, having access to the source is better than not having it, but it isn't going to result in ED (or another developer) being able to simply take over development as if nothing has happened.
  15. Beispiel Brücke auf Kola: Range T20 / bei 4 x sollte es doch so sein wie T5 oder? Denke ich Falsch? Also im Sniper (ATP) hätte ich gerne mehr Details vom Model/Ansicht erwartet .
  16. Right, I missed that part. Seems like some real issue then Have you tried different cables? K-51 hasn't been to the forum since March. I hope he's alright. Maybe he would know how to fix it. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  18. I also uninstalled DCS, but it kept doing it. I'll try the repair as well. If it's long, that means it's more thorough and precise, right? Otherwise, if it's short, it's less effective? I have the F14 module, plus two campaigns, DCS Supercarrier, and the Nevada map. I'll try again, thanks for the directions.
  19. Just subliminally getting the idea of a C2 module into their heads, the boat really could benefit from a good COD module. Jokes aside, you are right about that, and considering the context of disobeying orders and almost doing a water landing, I don't think stinger wants them in a C2. LOL.
  20. No, I haven't changed the profile settings. I did change easy communitcation is mission editor, customize : Enforce and value are now both turn on.
  21. Today
  22. okay guys, so i did have shapes coming and going with MIST, so I know it's possible on the code layer. Hit me up for how, but more to the point: I'm scrapping that method as we are DELIBERATELY MOVING AWAY from mist as it conflicts now with MOOSE I'm told (rolls eyes forever) - but anyone who's saying it's not feasible from the scripting layer is nutty: WE HAD IT WORKING IN MIST. Now.... MOOSE: Show mewhatchugot! it was something like: -- So Why Now We Can No Usie MOOSE?! or generally .....LUA? mist.marker.remove('Shape-7') mist.marker.drawShape('Shape-7')
  23. guys, you're all awesome for being here but can i ask, anyone who sees this (honestly less about this thread than others I've been on today), if we can refrain from providing solutions that break the premise of the affair: * If someone's trying to get a mod to work, and sees log errors, work on the mod, don't tell them to remove it. * If someone's told you their computer is specc'ed out and shows scripting errors, don't tell them to upgrade their machine. * And if someone's got the life hell going on that they're here, try to help out in the first message, there's a lot of waffle. But guys.... I am tremendously grateful this place is here. I am having a mod-riddled day, but I love them dearly and am here to find out WTF is this: There are thousands showing up when I look around (in a modded game) for VARIOUS types of equipment, in and out of mods. ....I'da at least thought someone here would know some config to set, identify which mod ( we shamelessly poured on 9 or so ) or perhaps give me a technical reason behind why this is happening - to clearly many of us. I hereby join the party... Thanks in advance. 2025-08-07 13:21:12.906 WARNING BACKENDCOMMON (5424 Need to reprocess [DDS] image '/textures/door_Diffuse_RoughMet.dds'. Reason: Conversion requires - expanded pixel size, setting
  24. Stinger just said a cargo plane, he didn't say what kind...The Navy does have -130 variants.
  25. Here's a question for you ED. Are all current modules going forward protected? As in, do you have the source code so we don't end up in this situation (again)? If not, what source code are you missing?
  26. Dropping MOABs isn't a civil act. The flares aren't for celebrating either. Last not least combat landings are for combat scenarios. The Herk fits here.
