  2. Has anyone else encountered this issue with mission 5 in the Frog-7 campaign? (Strike on Damascus International) Both times that I have tried to complete Mission 5 of this campaign, SARAH 1 crashes due to a midair collision with another one of the AI flights. In this last try, LIONCUB 3 crashed into both SARAH 1 and SARAH 2, causing this message to appear: "SARAH 1 has been lost in action. Abort and change to waypoint 15 for RTB instructions." I'm wondering if it could be due to the AI not being able to handle being in such close formation or something else. Screenshot of the mission result and a .rar file with the track file attached. I'm going to try turning off wake turbulence in my game settings and instructing the AI flights to go into a "trail" formation during the low altitude section to see if that helps. Here is a video of the collision on YouTube. (Latest attempt done in DCS 2.9.19.13478.) Side Note: For QOL update, I think the coastal waypoint should be set to a VIP point over the bridge, so Jester can get a nav fix. frog7m5.rar
  3. Thanks TBB, Jdownloader has been the shiz! I have been able to download all of the +1Gb mods i was havung issues with earlier!
  4. Not sure you have much to worry about from a grenade at 20metres
  5. Thanks for the addendum. I did some testing tonight,it seems that the in-cockpit altimeter setting in the current dcs build have no effect on the targets saved using LFR,even changing altimeter setting after save,Shkval can still points to the correct altitude when uncage. (iirc u are correct for the build which BS3 was first came out,but it was changed after an update) I guess only LOS line for the ABRIS is taken from the in-cockpit altimeter, and the Shkval is actually using another altitude source as it's altitude reference.(a built-in altimeter which is always set at 760mmHg)
  6. uhmmmmm.... what?... The FF F-15C has been released? How long was I asleep for? Is either you've got exclusive access to a module that's not released or you're using mods for the Flaming Cliffs one to be talking about mouse pointer and mouse wheel stuff. If it is the later. Remove the mod. If it is the former: congrats man. Let us know how the module is. BTW, this is the forum section for the Flaming Cliffs stuff, but if you're using a clickable cockpit mod, that's unsupported: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/866-flaming-cliffs-bugs-problems/
  7. I do this in the p-47 to slow it down too. Just wishing they all had slider options
  8. Thank you for your prompt response. I am located in mainland China, so I use a VPN to access Western websites, but even with the VPN active, the error message appears. I just tried updating DCS again and the error message appeared immediately. It seems that the problem is with the servers. Please see the attached file. BRegards autoupdate_log.txt

  10. Nice to have. I would shift map left 100 miles or so IMO, to get the area around Port Moresby in there. Big map though.
  11. confirming that snap rotation does not seem to make it worse with my setup. i still get mico-stutters (looking left or right) with or without smoothing and no frame rate drops, however that seems to be separate vr issue i have with DCS. At the moment i seem to have a somewhat liveable experience with 120hz locked to half frame rate and smart smoothing turned off, XRNeckSafer snap turns configured. I have to use XRNeckSafer as it literally saves my neck (limited neck articulation as a result of previous injury)
  12. OmasRachE I have the same issue too. Since the new update I can not turn while taxing on the ground, the corral/dirt runway. Before the update I could taxi around no problem. Checked all my rudder and break control bindings and no conflicts. I have the thrust master T- rudder pedals. Gotta be a bug cuz they worked fine before the update.
  13. I’m guessing the people complaining about the engine management being too hard, have never flown the p-47, or tried taking off and landing a Spitfire with “takeoff assistance” turned off. Or they are too used to full burner at all times in more modern jets. Maybe its not setup perfect and some aspects needs adjustments, sure ( WIP right?). But hard to fly and manage the engine? Most certainly not. If anything, I think it’s actually pretty tame, for a warbird… imo
  14. Wait, so if work is ruining your life, you'll prioritize work? I guess this is kinda neither here nor there in this thread tho...
  15. There is also an error with the back end of the needle being painted white. It should look like this ... Get the mod on this thread
  16. I was facing similar issues with another download. Each time the dowlaod volume reached a certain limit, it stopped. I tried even larger downloads from other sources and had no issues. Then I just copied the download link from the browser - Opera in my case - to another download app JDownLoader - and it worked at 1st attempt. I suggest to retry the download with another browser or another download app. The devil is a squirrel.

There are clear problems with the current implementation of ADI and engine management. For one, you can't currently use WEP at 2700RPM without overboosting the engine, and that shouldn't be happening. And using the POH to make it "X time to failure" is no more realistic than not having it at all.
  18. Hi, I'm downloading your mods from your page and the ones for Russia and Germany keep closing the game. What's the problem? Why does this happen? I'm using the latest DCS update.
  19. The spawn logic needs to be redone.

  21. The ZEL would great for the Germany map. It would fit in the scenario when the Cold War goes hot.
  22. I read this book over 10 years ago. Very informative, and entertaining, regarding the bootstrap development of the world's first IR guided air-to-air missile. Amazon's algorithm caught up with me and told me I might be interested. The Kindle version is on sale, but they do indicate that hardback and paperback copies are available. Thought I'd share with you. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EXCOIRM?ref_=pe_170810_1285754260_lbfy-mdw&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.UbV6sY-g03FdyVkB-J3_eG38oqJb8M_roq_1vyaBeeyLeM5Yhef7ZktGD1-51PtGUWAmPrNB3TdJrGqluZFnlDDtEzeS6PPf01JfY2j2Kw7fw53s92IVw3tB4FRJU2qAy1JCulhLSeXAtthvPhGlVXBiSwVcN13xxqm4G8mGN2w_kudG27ymmC3RdMsZmg5B.z7PLCceZrWe3G0cJwu4r86fSEYUsgWY2UJ3L2ICarOA&dib_tag=kdd&pd_rd_i=B00EXCOIRM&pd_rd_w=S3kFF&content-id=amzn1.sym.4b2cec32-d8ca-42ab-bed6-5b9533004ebf&pf_rd_p=4b2cec32-d8ca-42ab-bed6-5b9533004ebf&pf_rd_r=null&pd_rd_wg=d3iGg&pd_rd_r=5660530c-e3bc-4814-ac3c-b03f67130fbb&nodl=0
  23. Thanks Raffi, I checked my internet settings - nothing there that could cause limiting in any way - I even reached out to my ISP - seeing as I am on an unlimited data plan - and they confirmed that there are no limitations in place for my account. Could latency be causing Github to drop the connection for some reason? I can't see that it would as the downloads all fail at roughly 0.9 Gb I am in Australia, although that shoudn't have any bearing on the issue!
  24. Screenshot from actual footage of carrier qualifications and training back the day. Also, all checklists say 6 deg right trim for takeoff. Just FYI.
  25. I think it's related to aircrafts, try removing the modern Russian aircrafts from Flaming cliffs that are rarely used, Su-34, Su-33, one of the Migs...
  26. Just curious: can I operate the F-16C module with one MFD assembly if I use the "SWAP" button? I have one at the moment. It's only going to be a few weeks before my second MFD arrives (Winwing caught me off guard when they sent me a shipping notice for my pre-order). Sure, I could be patient and wait for the second to arrive, but where's the fun, or frustration, in that? Thanks.
  27. Just in case you weren’t aware, another thing you can do in the meantime is hit M key (I think that’s the default?), and it will turn off mirror reflections and save you a few FPS as well.
  28. The outside air is also much warmer at lower altitude, so it’s two-fold: Less airflow plus warmer air. Yup, crack those flaps open
