SRS version 2.2 added a native Linux command line server. I've recently pushed commit 2f81056, which uses the native SRS server in place of the Windows GUI server via Wine. That removes quite a bit of complexity. When upgrading and existing installation, you will have to manually update all instance configurations DCS.* from DCS_defaults.

I don't think you missed anything. I flew both routes. Nothing special happened. Just a regular flight to the airport. I don't have VR. During normal (real-world) flight procedures, you synchronize in MAG and then switch to GYRO. I fly in GYRO. I also check the magnetic declination setting in the copilot's cockpit. -

precisely. I get that all software has a shelf life, to an extent. But ED seems to be somehow directly involved in either not ensuring there is some security of these modules in perpetuity and/or directly involved in RB ceasing support altogether due some sort of contractual dispute. EITHER WAY - ED should have done more to keep the integrity of these modules in tact. I'm sure RB isn't without fault here.. but again, ED is the one that benefits most from the sale of any of these items - they own the core sandbox and the enjoy the benefit of outside developers making it better. There is no doubt that HB moved the needle greatly with the F-14 and now the F-4 and that RB did the same with the F-15E and AV-8. And with the proverbial swipe of a pen (or key mash) the hundreds of dollars spent on their modules will likely wither away. This is a poor business model. For me, it will be very, very difficult to spend any more money here. I can only hope that something can change that for me personally. -

Здесь смысл этой фразы, что как продали, так и останется без дальнейшей поддержки/обновления и исправления ошибок. Проданный же товар забрать уже нельзя. А то что творят рептилоиды ни в какие законы не вписывается, так что не в пример. Но возвращаясь к ДКС, был разговор от разработчиков после отказа поддерживать один из модулей, что они будут в дальнейшем забирать исходный код, чтобы допилить модули в случае таких бросков.

The net.dostring_in() function has the following function signature to run code in the Lua environment state (type hints after the colon): net.dostring_in(state: string, boolean) -> return_value: string, success: boolean Example with Valid State (for Comparison) Run the following code via the Scripts/Hooks folder, i.e., from the "gui" state: return {net.dostring_in("mission", "return 42")} Successful return value: { "42", true } Example with Invalid State Try to run the same code inside a non-existing state: return {net.dostring_in("invalid", "return 42")} Up until DCS 2.9.17.12034, using an invalid Lua state name returned a proper error message: { "Invalid state name", false } Since DCS 2.9.18.12722, net.dostring_in() now returns only nil, resulting in an empty table: {} I've said it before: A simple unit test could have prevented releasing DCS with such basic bugs.

It is not clear when to take off and who to join. All planes take off regardless of whether I press the space bar or not. I caught up with a group of planes, but there were only 4 planes in 334 COBWEB. Then 2 more caught up with me from behind and one crashed into me. It was about 15 minutes after departure.

Till this time every DCS module was supposed to be working in next versions without any end of support date. That was how they did their business - one-off sales. No matter how old the module. If it got too old (over 10 years, like Ka-50, A-10C or F-5E) they made some paid refresh of the model, textures and maybe added some new stuff - and it's OK. But this time they expect users to accept the end of life of 4 popular aircraft! Because Razbam... I don't wanna know. I bought from ED, on their E-shop, sending money to ED account. I'm only interested in a solution.

are there differences with the "legacy" F-5 as long as flight model, systems work or is it just a 3d model difference? I'd like to keep using the legacy one because of the liveries I have installed.

Part 6 is up, first part of the assault on Aslito airfield (that never really happened as it was very lightly defended) Lt. Gunfreak is ranking up kills. He became an ace after shooting down 3 defenseless cargo planes on top of the two Betty-88s from before He's sunk 2 ships. And with this mission adds dozen upon dozens of infantry to his tally. As well as more artillery, more trucks, and more tanks. My wingman was even useful. Blowing up a AAA just as it had me zeroed. -

The adapter / mounting / pylon is the same for the LITENING Pod and this one comes to only 459 pounds. 459 pounds is what wikipedia is stating for the Litening pod weight. Wonder why the Sniper pod is heavier than the official wiki page states.

Don't forget that for every new aircraft there need to be AI version done as well so you can fly with wingmen. MiG-29 already has AI in DCS, but F-35 doesn't. Building AI takes time too. -
This may also include the weight of the pod adapter pylon.

Yes, you don't need to do anything. During a mission you can see up to 8 different variations of cirrus. They change every 10 minutes. There are a total of 16 unique cirrus cloud types now.- 317 replies
