In the newsletter/pre-order- I see something about static line physics. I sure hope that references the static lines for paratroops. If for now we can't have actual para drops, it would be awesome to at least transport soldiers from one base to another, and have them all staged in the back, in their seats. I do agree i'd love to see the ramps get loading animations (like soldiers boarding through the side doors/ramp, Humvees driving in, pallets being loaded into the sliding rail. Many things we'd love to see, that I believe ED will have to help them make it happen. Goood post, I hope to see this answered by the dev team Thanks ASC!

Are you using the "Communications Menu" keybind "\", and not the correct PTT keybinds to transmit? The communication menu keybind only works on the ground, for FC level airframes, and if Easy Comms is enabled under the general settings. Many missions force Easy Comms off. Cheers! -

No, I am aware of the process, typical timeline and do good expectation management. Or simply put, you might not be cut out for Early Access products, as your expectations mismatch greatly with reality.

@biguest3 Short answer, not a bug, perform a full repair. TL:DR I get the same when I let Helios install its patches, so I have a "mod" that will revert those changes Helios does for the Phantom. Not sure if exports are supported by HB yet, while I've read about users that have successfully accomplished this without seeing what you see. I've yet to try to fix this personally. Cheers! - Today

@BluesRocket What's your stick settings under the special settings for the Viper? I've turned those off with zero deadzones for both axis. (We didn't have those settings before as ED forced us to use a virtual force sensing stick, even if you had a regular sprung one). Apart from this, I fly the Viper with an entry level stick, the TM T16K, with no curves or deadzones whatsoever. AAR will click one day for you, and it will feel like some great, (while stupid ), accomplishment, and you will be amazed of how easy it actually is. But, it must click! Just like swimming or riding a bike. Can you formation fly? If not, learn that first. Greatest advice I received. In the Viper, as a fly by wire airframes, (that trims itself and stuff), it will do the most work for you, as long as you are a little steady. Throttle management is much more important! Also! When you open the refueling lid, the, the computer in the airframe will change the input sensitivity levels, (landing levels?), which will be different from when you're in ordinary flight. Hence why I don't like using curves in the Viper. Now, everyone else's input and personal advices are incoming, and welcome! Pick those that works best for you! Cheers!

Hello everyone, I picked the Phantom back up this week-end after last flying it somewhere around February. And I noticed that apparently a new feature (or bug?) was added since then in the matter of a repetition of the DSCG screen on the LCOSS, as seen on the attached cockpit screenshot. Twisting all the knobs in the cockpit haven't helped so far as those that remove that radar image on the LCOSS also cut-off the DSCG display. I haven't been able to find anything about this on Google, nor in the forums, nor in the manual so far. Maybe I haven't looked enough but it seems weird to me that something like that would be hard to find discussion or documentation about. My personal goal would be to disable this as the DSCG screen is already smack bang in the middle of my FoV so I feel that there's really no point in having a repetition 5cm above. But I'm mostly really doubting weither this is a feature or a bug. I doubt a trackfile will help but please find extra contextual screenshots for context. I got that situation both from cold start and "fly-by" start in an editor mission with nothing special to it, just my aircraft and a few targets to shoot at. Respectfuly, biguest

I thought the new contract was introduced AFTER they left DCS and we lost the Hawk and many customers never got the P-40 which they already paid for to avoid something like this to happen again. I think they didn't leave because of the new contract but the new contract was because they left....?

В сетевых миссиях роль транспорта уже такова, что без него нет захвата точек и нет победы. Так что Herc впишется туда довольно быстро. Самого себя можно бесконечно будет развлекать упражнениями на точность парашютного десантирования, не говоря уже о просто взлетно посадочных операциях в плохую погоду, да на ВПП ограниченных размеров, на что этот аэроплан заточен серьёзнее любых других аппаратов в симуляторе.

Excellent review, and that reflects my impression of the campaign as well. This is really top notch content and definitely surpasses some payware campaigns in terms of story telling, immersion and flow. Больше мфд богам мфд. Это тренд. А для поприменять вооружение - кмк релевантнее будет KC-130J Harvest Hawk. Как то что может применять нечто более дальнобойное чем бофорс и 105 мм гаубица прямой наводкой. Вот бы еще контейнер на парашюте из которого LRASM выпадают.

I´m very aware of the fact, that there are some external tools to work around that. And in multiplayer settings, this works great. But my attempt is aiming at single player campaigns. In the Arctic Thunder campaign of Baltic Dragon for example there are severel occasions where you get coordinates from an Awacs or Jtac but the message is displayed only for a very short period, so its nearly impossible to get them into your UFC. Relfected did solve this with a picture of a hand written notice which lasts longer, but that somehow breaks the immersion too and according to Baltics post in his campaign subforum he yould well appreciate the ability to display those information in another form. And I personally think that a kneebord is the right place to do. So in a single player campaign, where the information is static I see no need for the player to whrite down it by himself at the cost of immersion by using the mouse or something like that. Instead the campaign creator could place a trigger based kneeboard card with the information just recieved from the give controller.

I have about 40 hours in the F-16 and joined a squadron for training and running missions together. It's been fun. The various systems are complex but even with the minimal time so far I'm learning fast. Like many, air to air refueling has been a problem. Look, I get it, it will come with time and practice--much more. I've read this over and over and really understand that. BUT, my stick, at center, is way too oversensitive. I'm going to open it up today and tighten up the axis screws just a bit, but I'm also wondering if there are custom axis tuning curves for pitch/roll that can help with movement near center. If I understand the tuning correctly, I can set up a gradient with less sensitivity with micro movements at center and then expand back to a linear setting to ensure the aircraft is still manueverable farther from center. I just don't understand the curves enough to start playing with that. I've seen several examples with both positive and negative values but need to understand what they mean in terms of stick control. Any examples with an explantion I could try? Thanks!
