  3. For every rule there is an exception. On most RAF aircraft @skybaby68, typically you are correct, when reading left to right the squadron code should be to the left of the roundel, however there are numerous exceptions across a number of airframes. In the case of the mosquito, it seems like it depends on the squadron - there are a number that obey this standard however as shown above there are many that don't. From my research, most if not all of the 2nd TAF Mosquito FB.VI units contravene the standard and place the squadron code aft of the roundel on the port side.
  4. Bonjour les pilotes Me voici de retour après quelques semaines d'absence. Je vais reprendre donc mes petits messages habituels pour vous tenir informés de la vie du 06th MHR. Avec quelques mouvements de pilotes depuis la rentrée, voici notre organigramme à jour, avec un effectif actuel de 39 pilotes : - A noter la présence, désormais, de 2 ATC. Ce qui nous promet de nombreuses soirées avec contrôles aériens. - Un changement de fonctionnement également au niveau du groupe RAVEN, et ses pilotes d'Apache. Jusqu'à présent, 2 hélicoptères Apache étaient détachés en permanence chez Guardian pour servir d'escorte aux UH-1H lors de leurs missions CSAR. Dorénavant, ces deux Apaches réintègrent leur escadrille RAVEN, qui retrouve donc l'intégralité de ses pilotes. Mais cela ne signifie pas pour autant la fin des escortes pour nos UH : L'escadrille RAVEN s'engage à mettre systématiquement un appareil à disposition chaque UH-1H présent lors de nos soirées d'entrainements et de missions.   7. I like to fly PvP and online Campaigns / milsim Campaigns. In most of them MRF1 is placed on Red side. It's not a problem if you're interested in DCS just because of shooting. If you're in DCS because of flying, than you look for full realism missions, without your plane position provided on the map, full weather, day and night. In that case you'll miss TACAN beacons and ILS. It annoyed us up to moment when we decided to change plane. Second reason was, that F-4 is able to perform every Cold War mission ('60-'70 CW conflicts), A2A and A2G . MRF1 is very good in A2A, but his A2G capabilities are limited. SEAD - very difficult. 2x F-4 are able make serious damage to any target. Third reason - Immersion that is provided in F-4.

  11. Good idea although i don't know how it is in real life. But in the sim, with max trim input at the moment on the reset, it can be very brutal, resulting in a very brutal pull-up or dive. Can't imagine it's like that in reality.
  12. There is nothing about changing HUD FOV angle thare. Pressing hat switch enables this "Zero method" of gunnery which is initially used for when you don't have visial, and as a side effect you can use it to shoot "under the hood" at high G loads.

  15. This applies to all DCS helicopters - an option when the trim is reset for it to be gentle reduction over a second or so to give the player a chance to counter what is often a sudden lurch of the aircraft. Currently it's like this...

  18. Haven't seen my exact scenario I've been having on a thread here so I'm on to my last resort. Upon launching DCS from desktop, the loading screen pops up for about 2 minutes and then just disappears and does not launch. Can't even get to the main menu. No error messages or anything. I've updated just about everything I can from DCS to graphic drivers to windows firmware and tried several methods from other threads but still no change.

  20. Yes, just look through the main threads and wishlist. NTTR was made in 2016 and it was specifically focused on NTTR and Nellis. China Lake is there as a ground texture but it's out of the high detail area. Edwards and Fallon are way out of the scope. We beg for years to even fix fat taxi lines or the night lighting but here we are.
  21. Hi. There is no option to re-arm at the start of this mission. Is this because its a FARP? I have 4 x Radar hellfire's with no RADAR. George AI gunner may as well be throwing axes at a spinning target. Blindfolded. This leaves me with 4 x laser hellfire's, the gun, and the "spray and pray" rockets, whist expected to take on armour, AAA, manpads and APC's.
  22. Is there a way to toggle pilot body and any HMD when viewing a track replay in F1 camera view? I tried their respective key bindings but they don't work. I'd like to record instrument closeups or views of the pilot, but the HMD symbology gets in the way and, since I usually play with pilot body off, there is no pilot to record.
  23. Made some checks with KOLS: lock range is 26km with same miz file from above at 12000m/2500km/h head on target. At first I thought that KOLS silently prevents the PR by trying to lock, but it looks like the IR seeker lock ranges were adjusted at the same time for 29 FF. Lock on ranges appear to be modeled not per missile but rather per module. Also a question: Wouldn't a cooled InSb element in R-27T detect/lock target at further ranges than 14 element of KOLS based on PbSe? The pylon to which R-27R/T is hanged on features a rather heavy removable nitrogen bottle, so we are talking about cryogenic cooling.
