  2. I am coming from the varjo aero-which had clear view for the entire lens- meaning there was no "sweet spot" or lens blurring near the edges etc. It was clear from end to end. I just got the Pimax Crystal Super 57PPD and the detail is amazing , but the image begins to get blurry VERY quickly from center-super clear in center, but just above center images begin to blur and slight color separation occurs. Is this normal? I've had a number of other VR units and remember that you had to be very careful about placement of the headset or you'd get blurring. But this blurring seems 'off'-It feels that further towards the edges (after the initial blurry "spot") it gets clearer. Is this a lens defect? or normal behavior? If it's normal, I think I'd go back to the Varjo.
  3. Gotta love the Unarmed roof top Cows with their universal language. MOOOOO !
  4. So if we can track down a some source documentation on how and what ballistics data (codes) are entered in the "Weapon system) pre flight (similar to the methodology detailed to enter INS AD/WYPT data) we might get a better insight. I would find it most unusual if Radalt data wasn't used as a form of Ranging, when radalt info was available.
  5. Well I had posted back in June 29 2025 and had issues getting DCS to work in VR @ 90Hz. well currently and about the past month I have been having no issue running DCS @90Hz with frametimes around 8-9.5ms so well above 90FPS.. I am using the same system so either DCS Made some changes that helped or my system just works better now for some odd reason?
  6. You have to use stored heading "STD HDG" on the bottom part of the AMPCD (the lower DDI). I took control of your track after landing to demonstrate the correct procedure. I'm not type rated on FA18 but I would assume you could enter coordinates in order to give a precise reference for the INS alignment (ie parking coordinates). As far as I understand the STD HDG is a kind of "Align on REF" (last known position of the A/C) which is what you would do in absence of good GPS signal, provided you didn't tow the plane after shutdown in which case you'd have to use either parking or airport coordinates. The system should update itself afterward anyway using DME/DME/TCN. It just help the INS to align faster. EDIT: It's confirmed working as intended ingame. Even if you don't use STD HDG you can update your pos. afterward using TCN (Provided you enter one that the A/C is able to receive) and it will update your position. It will take way longer to align your INS this way though so use STD HDG instead. Anyway...here's the track file INSCOLDDARK_Correct_Procedure.trk
  7. Just like how many others mentioned. Having Hungarian bases would be really amazing, and most likely the one and only oportunity we will ever have having any Hungarian AB options in DCS. Giving home to our beloved MiG-29 at Kecskemét AB in DCS would be something all Hungarians would wish for. (Just a few important ones in a quick list: Kecskemét, Taszár, Szolnok, Csákvár, Pápa,)

  9. I have been studying Cold War attack tactics for a long time and consider my information to be fairly reliable. First of all, there is a flaw in the question that you have already noticed. The Fulda Gap was never the main target of attack, but only for the southern half of Germany. The south is very hilly and therefore difficult for mechanized forces to access. However, the Fulda Gap was the best route to reach the lowlands “quickly” and with as little distance as possible through valleys along the A5 and A66 Autobahn, which include a junction and large cities (Frankfurt, Mannheim, Mainz, etc.) Now for the really interesting part. As you already mentioned, the main point of attack was the North German lowlands or the NORTHAG sector. There are several weak points that were identified by the Warsaw Pact (WaPa for short). These are as follows: - Geography - Topology - Combat strength And particularly interesting is the combination of four corps and four nations! In the Fulda Gap, mainly the USA and West Germany. The WaPa planned to launch two large-scale attacks almost simultaneously, with the aim of destroying the V and VII US Corps at CENTAG and the German 1st Corps and British 2nd Corps at NORTHAG in encirclement battles. In order to be successful against the forces of NORTHAG, the first wave of Warsaw Pact troops would have to strike through the combat zone of the Dutch 1st Corps on the left flank. This was intended to drive a wedge between the Dutch 1st Corps and the neighboring German 1st Corps and exploit the fact that the Dutch forces first had to be transported hundreds of kilometers from Holland to the inner-German border. This would allow the 3rd assault group to move across the town of Uelzen from the Wendland Bay (small bay west of the 20th MSD and 19th MSD), roughly as shown on the map. The WaPa's main focus was on the logistical problems of the Dutch. By quickly reaching the Weser River as a natural barrier, the British and German corps would be cut off. With the Harz Mountains directly south of Braunschweig (border between the British and German corps), it is a deliberately chosen bottleneck, limiting the British in terms of troop deployment and evasion. This is evidenced by the drawing of the “Braunschweig operation plan" (old map), which was essential to prevent early encirclement. Especially with its southern orientation instead of northern orientation. Incidentally, the danger of encirclement was not only known to the WaPa, but also to NATO, which is why the British and Germany set up extra reserve divisions. Additionally, the map with the attack arrows corresponds 1:1 with the scenarios practiced in the large-scale exercise Certain Strike/Reforger 87 and many other exercises! Don't worry, the “Braunschweig Operation Plan” has long since been declassified and is publicly available in the German Federal Archives null

  12. A follow up. Its not working in single player now too.
  13. So, I have been having the problem of the INS not starting its countdown when I switch to stored heading. It works in single player and it will work in multiplayer only if I do an AutoStart. So it really is a multiplayer issue I think. If I start the engine manually it doesn't start its alignment. I have started the Viper many times before so I know how to do it. I don't start arming or flipping switches until the engine is at idle. I have done a long repair of DCS numerous time. I have uninstalled the module several times. Any help would be appreciated.
  14. +1 Don't forget civilian aircraft!
  15. Hi, Maybe you can try to merge my texture folder with yours (HDS ultimate compilation mod) and copy my liveries into "HDS ultimate compilation" liveries folder....it should works....

    ACQ Source

I use a keyboard with macros to switch between diferent ACQ, it's very useful specially on multicrew.
  17. Hi, @OnReTech I personally would love to see some HAF Airfields, Especially Volos and Larissa which fall in the Medium to low detail area as well as Thessaloniki. Thank you for the consideration
  18. I need help! I'm getting back into DCS after about 8 months of not using DCS- I updated DCS to the latest version, other aircraft seem to run fine, as I remembered them I loaded up the OH-6A and tried the instant action missions. When I tried, the weather was radically different than in the past. There was dense ground fog, visibility was down to maybe 50 meters when starting any of the instant actions missions I installed the latest OH-6A mod, same results. I rolled the mod back to version 1.2, same results, dense ground fog up to about 600- 1,000ft . Blue skies above the fog and I could see mountain peaks poking through the fog layer. The only OH-6A mission that had weather as I recall it from before were the training missions. Has anyone seen this before and are your Instant Action missions without the ground fog? I can't understand how this changed, I haven't modified the missions in anyway intentionally and though I haven't tried all the other modules, all that I have tried had weather as I recall from before. Anybody have any ideas as to what caused this and how I can get the Instant action missions back to normal. The OH-6 is hard enough to fly without a fog white out!
  19. I just went from HARMS to Mavericks and my TV will not come up. I can get TV/Mavericks to work fine if I don't use AGM 45 first... His issue was AA... I seem to have it with Mavericks...
  20. Realy great job, love the zoom in to show the visual impact in detail. Also must have been a lot of work especially since some options require a restart. Huge respect for all the work. Should you ever find the motivation to do another one, try a heavily forested area in a long mountain valley, low angled sun which should give you long shadows, try to be in a hover so you get downwash and all the grass and clutter to populate.
  21. @OnReTech thanks for this map from Montenegro looking forward to fly all around my beautiful country.
  22. Bigity

    ACQ Source

Man would it have killed them to add a hat switch somewhere in the Apache to change ACQ source? I guess they had alot of switches already though..
  23. Oh, yes, apologies. I didn't look at the full path. Disregard my post. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  24. Ah, thanks guys, I missed that one!
  25. Fantastic! I'm so glad this is moving forward!
