  2. The Kamikaze Hunters: Fighting for the Pacific, 1945 by Will Iredale is another good read about the topic. It follows a group of pilots from their training in the US, the August 1944 air strikes against Tirpitz through the final battles in the Pacific.
  3. @Gloopy @big_fun I think I have both of the issues fixed... man, the AI does so many stupid things it still makes me speechless sometimes...
  4. Yeah, I don't get it myself. I believe it's a combination of light and shadow settings. @jethead could you post your graphics settings and whether or not you have reflections on under the special settings? Cheers!
  5. You’re guide to the altitude and speed holds! https://youtu.be/AB11evVlqo0
  6. Schau mal hier, Rakuzard hat da mal ein Review über den VIRPIL Controls Mongoos T-50CM3 gemacht. Vielleicht hilft dir das weiter. (Ab 29:46 min)
  7. Well, that‘s just how it is on an aeronautical chart. Assuming you are talking about CTRs, Restricted Areas and such. I think it‘s still realistic, that these charts would be used. If you happen to be at war with that particular country, then you simply ignore their „Restricted Areas“ of course. Drawings from the DTC would still have a different appeal, so it‘s unlikely to get mixed up. Where are these maps located in the file structure actually?
  8. Yesterday's Newsletter.
  9. I cannot find any announcement about the zero fighter. What info have you seen about it?
  10. The poor readability comes in part from the fact that the map beneath the green symbology is made with colors that do not make the symbology pop. That is in fact not "correct as is" but a function of what kind of map is loaded onto the aircraft. There is no reason the map under the symbology would have to be a color that hides the symbology given that the AMPCD is a full color screen. On your second point yes, I would love to have the ability to "bake" drawings from the ME that would then show on the map. But there is an issue there: the current maps (example: Caucasus) already has stuff baked into the map itself that you cannot remove without modifying the map beneath. In the end both would need to be implemented. But if only one was, then the ability to alter the maps would allow for the same functionality that your suggestion would, with the added benefit of customising everything else regarding the moving maps as well. It would be more cumbersome for sure. Besides ED removing IC from the maps would be a really easy step for them versus building a system where they alter the maps on runtime based on ME drawings. Regards, MikeMikeJuliet
  11. I will try it. Thanks.
  12. Must be something on your end because I don't see that when running your track.
  14. It would be nice to have one day a FF early block P-38J-5-LO with earlier type of windscreen from P-38E-G.
  15. Good morning from UK. Crystal Super inbound . Can you please recommend which version of Pimax Play I should actually download and use?? Is it V1.40.4.138? Regards
  16. Things are not as simple as that. In Vietnam many missiles failed because of wrong maintenance procedures, faulty wiring or simply the pilots not being trained enough on the limitations so they fired outside of the missile’s parameters (no tone, out of range, too high angle-off, etc). But other than that, yes deploying countermeasures in DCS is a simple dice roll.
  17. Доброго времени. Понял, попробую сделать как и Вы, спасибо.
  18. ну ты камрад суров... вот, накидал тебе в помощь программку. сама пробегает поочередно по всем ядрам. AffinitySwitcher.exeAffinitySwitcher_src.zip

  20. I just recieved my PCL and am blown away with the clarity compared to my Quest 3. I'm still tweaking and wear glasses so will be ordering VR Wave lenses, I'm also waiting on a facepad kit. On thing I did notice though was the FOV seamed to be less than my Quest 3 and it also felt like I was standing in the mouth of a tunnel looking out. Like a black frame all around limiting the FOV. Anyone else come across this? Thnx
  21. As far as I know. In DCS world, when you shoot chaff or flares, you are just starting some random generator which generates a random number which is used then to calculate the chance of missile to brake the guidance or something like this. So its not really a simulaton of missile's guidance system guided to the plane's engines heat but some kind of made-up guidance simulation. And that's the reason why most of the missiles behaves like this in DCS world. The AIM 120C missile alghorythm was totally overhauled for example. So it might behave totally diffrenetly then other missiles which weren't tuched for years.
  22. Hey, glad to hear that works. Sadly i couldnt figure out how to get mcu-dotnet lib working. cause essentially all id want to do is also get it to communicate with DCS Bios. If someone could point me in the right direction here on how to get the PFP 3N to work with the mcu-dotnet lib, that would be grately appreciated
  23. Out for Delivery DPD UK On its way to local North Wales Depot !!
  24. Took me some time, here is a .trk of the shrikes on my local server not tracking even though they almost hit by accident. They do track in the very same mission flown in SP. server-20250809-084604.trk
  25. Agree! [emoji1303] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  26. I am not sure the Herc will be any less complex than A-10 (or any other fighter/attacker we have in DCS). Quite the opposite actually. The question is how much of the complexity you can disregard and still get it flying. It will be interesting for sure!
  27. Now the old WW2 asset pack should at least be renamed as WW2 ETO asset pack because it does non represent all assets of that period. Inviato dal mio Tapatalk
