  2. I am a newbie and have been struggling with setting up my key binds. I am using a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle and Joystick. In particular, I can't seem to figure out how to achieve left and right engine start using the throttle arms (moving them from the rear detent position into idle position). I can see that there are key bindings for this on a keyboard but using the keyboard doesn't seem as realistic. When I click on the equivalent box in the HOTAS Throttle column, a menu to add a binding does not appear. Moreover, in the flight control section, movement of the throttle arms does show activity in the Right Throttle Up, Right Throttle Down, etc actions so I know that my throttle is recognized by the program. Reading through the DCS Forms website, I discovered that there are prefabricated key bind files that were included among the files that were downloaded on my computer when I installed the A-10C Tank Killer II program. I was able to find some .lua files that, to my newbie brain, would lead me to believe that they contain a complete set of key binds for my Thrustmaster flight controls. There were two that appeared to fit the bill: Throttle - Warthog.diff.lua (1 KB) Throttle - Warthog.lua (110 KB) And there were similar files for the Joystick. So here are my questions: 1) Are these files intended for my Thrustmaster flight controls? 2) Are they a complete set of key binds that will fix the above mentioned problems and will fill out all the other axis and flight control categories? 3) If I muck things up, can all my key binds be reset to default values so I can start over. 4) Are there prefabricated files out there that are better than the ones supplied with the A-10C program. Thank you in advance for your expert advice
  3. If you do not remove the satellite navigation restrictions in the editor, the blue team's JF17 GPS accuracy will be lower than the red team's JF17 GPS accuracy, causing bombs to deviate. The same thing is true for F15E 16 18, except that they are reversed, and the blue side has higher accuracy than the red side.
  4. Yeah I'd kill for a virtual body myself for the OH-6! There's basically only 2 things visually that stand in the way of the OH-6 being equivalent to a full fidelity module IMO - a VR pilot body and some better rotor animations. In every other way this things is payware quality, not to mention all the other amazing assets that come with it, which no other full fidelity module does!! I don't want to sound ungrateful though of course as the mod has given me and the community countless hours of flying fun. So if we don't get a VR pilot body, no worries, we still have basically the best mod ever created for DCS. And if we do get it, great, best mod just reached peak DCS mod status!
  5. Can we pull the mirrors down but with a static reflection/reflective surface? The animated mirrors are: 1. FPS hungry 2. Poor picture quality/resolution RB, Heatblur and other developers has solved this by having a generic reflective surface when mirrors are not activated. Will this also be available for MiG-29?
  6. This is the wrong forum you'll want to look in the modding section, this forum is for the official Super Sabre. Thanks
  7. Actually the title: “There are no "E"'s in Caucasus“ would correctly be written without the apostrophe before the s ‘s is possessive as in “Eagle Dynamic’s map”. The meaning there is plural as in “DCS maps”
  8. What are you talking about people! This is easy doing it all correctly yes, FULL GC alignment and GPS enabled and all that, if you target something small like a tank the bomb wont hit in place test it yourself you'll see
  9. It looks pretty OK on my side. See pictures. Did you use brightness and contrast buttons to improve picture?

  11. The C-130 in some ways is a giant flight planning machine, so to use a tool like that would be missing out on alot of the experience. But, yes, it should work by default with it.
  12. I don't know if its a feature or a bug. When I double tapped the (C+M or SW) R button it disables auto radar lock on in the TL and BZ mode. Normally radar locks targets when they are in the solid green line in the center of the radar, but doing that it basically tells the radar I don't want you to that even when the target is in the scope. It's easily reproducible: Step 1: Find target Step 2: enable TL or BZ mode Step 3: fly towards or behind the target Step 4: Enable the (C+M or SW) R button Step 5: Let the radar lock the target Step 6: Tap the (C+M or SW) R button again Step 7: The radar should unlock the target and will not lock it and will throw the sight back to gyro Step 8: to get back to the normal function tap (C+M or SW) R button again and it should work Step 9: you managed to reproduce it, Congrats!
  13. You want to tell that to the server host not The Devs. But fixing it would be nice, and probably won’t ever happen.
  14. Heatblur only is required to support other ED official Modules, not User mods no matter how cool they are. The A4 mod team needs to either figure out what’s up, or figure out how to write their AI to not use cat3. Take it up with them.
  15. Absolutely mind-blowing work on those cirrus clouds! Well done!
  16. BO-105 Pilot 3D- Model fun. When the gauge is low but the ego is high
  17. Don’t forget about the harm that windows updates can do: they often revert user settings back to windows default, so after a while it’s worth checking if nothing has changed. USB power saving for example is notorious for turning itself back on. Or perhaps a recent driver you installed has issues?
  18. Serious gamers are hardwired.
  19. I found this video by JaysTwoCents. I disabled my onboard Wifi and Bluetooth. This eliminated my VR stutter.
  20. I'll push a new version next week.
  21. I plan to release v2.0 later today. I tried to get Tempest's wind mod working but it appears ED has locked that down because nothing I tried will decouple the ground wind layer from 1600ft wind layer. His mod will decouple the layers in the mission editor but it doesn't have any effect in game. 20 knots ground wind still results in 40 knots at 1600ft. That being said, I did make some nice improvements to this latest generation of cirrus clouds. I replaced a few textures with new ones and made some improvements to others. Shadows are looking much better now also. Overall I think these are the best looking cirrus yet. I also increased the fog visibility range in the mission editor. You can use that to create a nice hazy atmosphere look.
