  1. Past hour
  2. Had my very first VR experience about a week ago. My daughter's boyfriend has a nice racing simpit and he set it up for me. For a solid ten-minutes I just sat there looking around and trying to touch my VR arms that were on the steering wheel. After a while he's telling me the car actually moves and I can drive around if I want to. Then I spent another ten-minutes watching a helicopter fly around the track and all I could think of was what VR choppers must be like in DCS. I still hadn't moved the car. Between the price, the complexity, and the possible barfing, I'm hesitant to buy in, but it sure it impressive. The VR guys who have everything dialed in must be having some glorious flights.

    Atoll

Will the Mig-17 ship with the atoll?
  4. Tiramisu

    Last call sale?

If I understand it correctly, then we will never have a Mig-19 again even from another developer.
  5. I can't really say, but sergios jetpad/jetseat was the first product i found and i bought mine like 10 years ago. There was nothing else execpt buttkicker or similar products with transducers and those where quite over my budget. I saw that the price increased but i paid for my first one around 200-250 with delivery. Only thing i really can say is that it's quite easy with the newer edition to swap out bad motors or replace broken cables. The shop is broken since the start of the war and the sanctions, but you can email him and ask about anything. He is a really nice guy and he does really quick support if something happens. I had like 3 complete sets but only one working connection cable at some point and wanted to order just a new cable, till sergio told me i should try to reflash the device and all 3 cables are working again.
  6. True. I have searched a little bit and since on the simshaker shop the actual product is not available I had a look at the next level hf8 pro. my fingers are itching. Hey thanks, now I found the link in the shop. Very uncomfortable shop... Is the jetpad the holy grail? Over 322 EUR is a lot and the HF8 pro comes around 280 EUR. So is there a reason to go for the russian high prize product instead?
  7. Difference in RCS might be because AGM-84D has its engine inside of the main body, while here you have it on the outside pod which for is not stealthy at all.
  8. There is a shop button to order a jetpad. I just said that the software for dcs is free and you need additional software for other sims. Edit: https://simshaker.com/hardware/jetpad/
  9. Sadly I think cfrag is taking a break due to recent changes to dcs core.
  10. At least the monitor should be mounted to the moving part of the contraption. So fixed relative to the seat.
  11. I have Q3 but have not used Q3S. It's not only the res difference though. https://www.roadtovr.com/quest-3s-quest-3-quest-2-specs-compared/ It's also pancake lenses and 2 separate LCDs that gives you more clarity, bigger "sweet spot" and fov. The question was about jetseat or similar hardware. btw: I miss Rift S days when I just run DCS, put on the headset and it works. Now I have to juggle 1 minute before I can run DCS: turn on the headset, wait, grab the controller, enable link, wait, select desktop view, run DCS.
  12. Dude you totally need the Hornet Grip! This crazy setup and then a Viper Grip??? A friend of mine also had that issue with the F16 ICP dobber. He fixed it himself, don´t know if he had contacted teh customer support at all, but it seems to be a weak point and I admit they allready know at WW. So the reaction is absolute nonsence. Very bad decission making from a economic point of view.
  13. I think that your body & mind gets mixed signals if you use a motion rig with a monitor.
  14. @wct24 You need to wait 1 day and 14 hours for the Oasis driver to be released, before you can use it. I suggest listening to some music while you wait: Let's see if the WMR headsets will live forever.
  15. Wow...not what I would expect, simply because some of the Pimax Super's demo videos showed crystal-clear night flying, albeit in other simulations.
  16. I am in the same situation, still awaiting my headset and absolutely no software installed other than base simulators (DCS, BMS, MSFS); that said, this is promising info. Thanks!
  17. Today
  18. https://simshaker.com/ software for DCS is free, but a couple other games need the wings or wheels software to function properly. But there are also a couple of other manufacturers out there. You can take a look into the hardware section of the forum for more information.
  19. Yeah I don't understand it. For some everything's fine. I don't have a fresh Win11 install (but it's basically stock settings) and I have both Meta Oculus and Virtual Desktop installed. Might be it.
  20. I cant tell because i have no comparisson. But in my opinion the quest 3 has a minimum resolution. Reading small details on the middle MFD in the hornet ist barely satisfying. I would go for a Cristal super but its too expansive. So I went for quest 3 cause in my calculation it was the best effordable value. And I am quite satisfied. But yeah pixels only substitute by more pixels.
  21. Hello, I asked above about the difference between the Quest 3 128GB and 512GB and I got the answer. Now I find that it's Quest 3 S and not Quest 3 Because I noticed a difference in resolution both in 4K but with the Quest 3 better resolution than the Quest 3S. For those who have Quest 3, is the difference in resolution between the two Quests clearly visible or barely visible? Please help me.
  22. It starts exactly with this as you can then argue, we got X, which is not accurate, for the F-18, when do we get Y, which would also be not accurate. Mounting it is one thing, employing it is the other thing. And no, you cannot just copy the avionics of the A-10C2 over. You are also requesting time travel to put a 2012 weapon into the year 2005, that's my reasoning, which is also your reasoning with the mission example. It doesn't force you to play like I would. It forces you to play like you would, with a GBU-54 on an F-18. Like I said, arguments like these can be dragged into infiinity. ED is modelling a specific timeframe. If they wouldn't, they would have to implement various updates and changes and other things. That way the amount of work gets absolutely bloated. Just live with their decision of the F-18 being a 2005 aircraft.
