Hi I have 64 Go RAM and a 5080 nVidia and I had freeze too in VR with Meta quest 3. Even with my hardware. So I think it's a question of VRAM. I'm use to create very heavy loaded mission and on some maps ( especially Germany) the VRAM saturation is quickly reached. What I've done with light graphic concessions ? In Oculus debug tool, I've set the pixel per display pixel overide to 1.4 but in other hand I use OpenXR Toolkit and in DCS I've set the resolution at 2676x2892. My MQ3 is set at 90Hz. It doesn't matter the definition you give since OpenXR toolkit overides this definition in DCS at 2676X 2892 I've reduced the preload radius to 90.000 I've reduced the clouds to standart clouds but I use the Bandit648's weather mod at full resolution. With nVidia inspector: VERY IMPORTANT: I've reduced the FPS at 45 ( 1/2 90Hz) , preset K for DLSS, no Low latency (2 lines) and synchro set to Force ON. I can assume that with 45fps, the game is very FLUENT with a nice display. Freezes are caused by the change frequency decrease when the VRAM is too full. And of course, I've regerenated my DCS and nVidia shaders and are excluded from my AV, the DCS directory, the saved game\DCS directory and the nVidia cache directory.

I've never really looked into this, but do we have operational kamikaze drones in DCS? We have the MQ9, of course, but that's a reconnaissance and CAS drone. What about the other types? I remember seeing Shahed drone on a screenshot once (with truck) but it might be a mod (not official part of DCS) of @currenthill? Mod?

With the upcoming FFB market for flightsims DCS should work on this. Now MOZA is trying to give customers some linear fake forces. But with other big manufactures coming DCS needs to invest in native ffb support per aircraft!

DCS should integrate native FFB per aircraft, So should FS 2020/ 2024 with the upcoming FFB market for flight. Are there any plans at DCS for implementation?
-
Perhaps by turning off.

The "PIMAX" settings you talk about are by 100 % the ones from Tally Mouse guide. Even the not necessary "Eye Tracking Switch" is enabled, who only causes issues with XRNeckSafer and does nothing for the Eye Tracking. There is no need for the Nvidia sharpening.

AGM-45 Shrike Quick Guide by Klarsnow - updated June 5th 2024
Ivandrov replied to HB_Painter's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Not talking about the RWR tones, talking about the Shrike seeker tone and the Director bars on the ADI. It very much pulses along as you get painted by the Lobes. The pulsing sounds nothing like the RWR New Guy Audio. Different tone quality between the Shrike Seeker and the RWR for the Dog Ear as well at least. -
Hey mate I completed what you described. It was challenging and took me 3 minutes.
Let me know if it helps.

Maneuvering On The Ground With Differential Braking
AG-51_Razor replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in Bugs and Problems
I am of the opinion that wind vaneing has absolutely nothing to do with the problem. The Corsair is not much easier to turn around without any wind at all. Just compare it to the P-47 under the same conditions. These two airplanes are fairly close to each other in weight and power and both utilize the same method of maneuvering on the ground and yet, they could not possibly be more different as they are modeled in DCS World. I wish that M3 and ED would put their heads together and figure this out. This doesn't serve either organization to have this kind of obvious problem go on unresolved. -
MiG-31BM & MiG-31K mod by szcz
szcz13 replied to szcz13's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
UPDATE v1.1.2 New update is out, it includes further cockpit model enhancements including an addition of rain droplets effect on the canopy, and HUD screen reflections. Also SFM has been tweaked in order to limit maximum speed and correct engine behavior on different regimes. On a smaller note a new Kazakhstan 610th AB livery has been added.- 122 replies

Maneuvering On The Ground With Differential Braking
primus_TR replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in Bugs and Problems
The issue with faulty wind vaning may be not so easy to solve, as it is directly related to the module's flight model, which may explain why this issue has not been receiving much attention from the devs. I remember how a very similar wind vaning problem with the MiG 19 was completely disregarded by the developer and never fixed. An aircraft that cannot properly taxi is basically unplayable. Shame. -
Sounds good, I have posted in the server I spend 99% of my time on. Everyone that has the same issue will also post their track file here as well.

Same; I don't use SimHaptic or SimRacingStudio software for anything. SimShaker for Aviators + Sound Module is outstanding. The "50% volume" instruction I referenced is in the actual UShake6 setup instructions in Windows when you're creating the new sound device. (https://simracingstudio.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/35000192912-u-shake6-setup search the pagee for "50" and you'll find the step) From there, SimShaker will have its individual parameters you can tune (you'll probably want to dial these down to your taste as well; the UShake6 can put out some serious volume and rumble). Sadly no Corsair-specific settings to share as I'm just getting into the Corsair this past week and haven't downloaded the SSFA beta with the Corsair profile yet. But that might be a project for tonight. I'll keep you posted -- I tune most of my warbirds the same. (The only thing I'd consider changing in your case is increasing stall buffet feedback, as I get get that through my FFB stick primarily)

When you first start with us not right away. It’s one on one training. You’ll go through the program which I can explain further in the discord voice channel. Here’s the link. Join up and then get a hold of me, and then we will have a discussion. Everybody has an interview when they first start up. https://discord.gg/9vDzc3W29y

I hope they give us an option to bind 2 engines per throttle axis
Someone replied to Cowboy10uk's topic in DCS: C-130J
I'm sure that I understand the question. The honeycomb bravo throttle works great, just like any other usb device in dcs. -
It was a considerable amount of work to implement. The main challenge is collision: how to avoid the player clipping through walls, the ground, or the interior of the cargo bay. I'm sure that ED has plans for their own feature of this type, but this version is distinct to the ASC C-130.
