I have done it, several times (and many others), and you always say the same, but the bug is still there. 4 YEARS, and you haven´t even attempted to fix an error that prevents the basic use of an instrument on one of your main modules, how is that caring? You surely do for many things, but not for this one, I don´t understand, it seem like the easiest of fixes to do related with maps scale. No I wont DM, cause the last time I did the same and there was no answer for weeks. So I do it here: From 2021: Please, don´t say is reported (again), to do nothing about it for years.

Any updates?

DCS MiG-29A Flight performance and air drag seems weird
Bremspropeller replied to HoMeBoY's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
So the third button (Land) positively has no effect or function and is not tied to anything whatsoever? -
They even started on it, but back tracked. No idea why. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

I'm away for three days due to work, so can't make a track file. Can someone else just go into mission editor, and lock up a head on target at around 60km, and then press the first detent, and let the target close to you and post that track here? It will show up as a funnel at first, and then flicker to the target circle occasionally, then somewhere around 50-30km it will be just be the solid circle.

Not sure what that means, but whatever works for you! The FFB2 is as precise as it gets. Less resolution than newer ones of course. It's easily observable in the controls indicator, DBview, VPC control panel or whatever. The stick has a few mm in the centre where it doesn't register any input. I use an extension so it's even more observable for me. One gets used to it, mostly in AAR, and in helicopters it doesn't matters as much, as one is not trimmed in the centre. Cheers!

DCS MiG-29A Flight performance and air drag seems weird
Ironhand replied to HoMeBoY's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Point 1: The flight model is the same as the FC model. Yes and no. It’s probably more accurate to say that the FC model is now the same as the FF module. I’ve noticed changes to the FC model, since work began on the FF module. Point 2: It seems too slick compared to other aircraft. I guess I never felt that way. It a fairly lightweight aircraft with large engines for its size and not a lot of drag at higher speeds. So it was kind of what I’d expect. Without that airbrake out, it can take awhile to slow down. Point 3: Landing. It’ll float forever, if you’re landing too fast for your weight. With 30-ish% fuel and 2 AAMs you should be touching down around 265 km/hr. With less, you should be seeing 250-260 on the HUD. Don’t know if that’s your issue but it is for a lot of folks. My 2 cents. -
AreiaGloria says it should only show up around 1.6km when I posted about it in the regular forum. Not sure what his source is, I can't find it in my MiG-29 manual, but he has more then me, and has spent more time going over the details, and while there is part of me that in my heart of hearts wants him to be wrong. I sadly don't think he is. Also I don't even think computed gun targeting is supposed to necessarily work in RAD mode. I believe it uses the irst for tracking and ranging.

Ok. Normally I set the altimeter to radar when on the ground ( and carrier) and to Baro after the 5000ft, adjusting the QNH to match the true altitude. But in this mission even with the altitude set to the max ( in the pics you can see the value of 31.00 is impossible to read on thr HUD the correct, real altitude. BTW, temperature is +28°

I've had this problem with many aircraft. A few years ago, I wrote on the forum that to do it "normally". I set it up in my modules and gave up on posting on the forum. Now when i bought MIG29 and started adjusting the throttle, I remember how annoying it is. And how much stress it takes out on me. I can't understand how the people who create these modules can't (or won't) implement such a seemingly simple feature.

This should now be possible with Tacview 1.9.5 beta 15: https://tacview.net/download/beta/

Reshade VR Enhancer Mod (VREM)
lefuneste01 replied to lefuneste01's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
It should work (even if sometime some technique are making the mod crashing...) Install it in reshade (that is download the folders in the githib link you put in the post above and put them into the folder "reshade-shaders" folder you will find in the place where DCS.exe is. Activate it in reshade, ensure the "activate reshade techniques in VR" in "Reshade technique in VR" option of VREM is ticked. In case of, click on "refresh" to see the effect in your VR display. -
Nope... please stop repeating this. Its wrong. You have been corrected by like half a dozen people in the other thread.

Will do, once I‘m home

sure thing, you can rename Arduino Leonardo to Rapti's ButtonBox, if you like ... Needs to be done in Arduino Software and will be flashing the Arduino in question with the software sketch that you use to define your windows USB game controller.

DCS MiG-29A Flight performance and air drag seems weird
Кош replied to HoMeBoY's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
It's a known claim but no. Already solved in Ru part of forums with SME and mechanical scheme. There is phisically two positions for flap, and leading edge - leading edge is scheduled independently for optimal performance at all times. -
Both true. However, if you have flown any aircraft in real life, you know that you get much more feedback how the aircraft is behaving in the air whilst at the controls. Trying to manipulate switches or turning your head while in close formation makes it more difficult to stay in place when you also have to constantly trim, because the trim inputs required are less than one click. Just my two cents.

Most Efficient BVR climb and Highest performance Speeds
GregP replied to AeriaGloria's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
+1 to this! I too have been around since the good old Flanker days, eagerly awaiting every new tutorial he'd put out, downloading the track file showing how -- after the obligatory "I have control" -- to seemingly effortlessly dodge SAMs and AAMs. Very much hoping that the new Fulcrum brings you back in a more active capacity! -
UPD. вот файл таквью с примером боя против F-15 c AIM-7M Tacview-20250922-213953-DCS.zip.acmi Главное - выполнять маневры уклонения как пустишь свою ракету. Иначе в лоб ответка прилетит.

DCS MiG-29A Flight performance and air drag seems weird

Interesting interview with a Fulcrum- pilot describing the insaine alpha capabilities against western jets, scroll to 35 min 15 sek in video 26 min 30 sek also great -
Thanks a lot for the info, very helpful !

Fuel selector and magneto positions of the actual position, flaps on an axis, ability to use the mouse scroll wheel on gauges (i.e. altimeter) and trim (rather than just clicking and dragging), starter cover toggle, guns inboard on/off, guns outboard on/off, guns center on/off, RH release toggle, LH release toggle, pylon release toggle, guns charge toggle would be super helpful also. The only light switch I've gotten to work on a binding are the cockpit lights. None of the following bindings work -> pitot heat switch, exterior light switch, wing, tail, formation, section, approach, and recognition lights. They are bound to a button box, but don't move or operate at all and still have to be clicked with the mouse. Wonder if you guys could swap the right and left mouse button clicks so they matches all the other modules. In other modules left click turns switches off/down and right click turns switches on/up and but in this module it's opposite. Thanks guys have a great day and keep kicking ass!

Countermeasures not needed comrade, I drink the radar magic cooling fluid Wow that's quite something didnt know that, like i can imagine the prototype not having any but actual production aircraft for front line squadrons, esp 1983 it was a very hot time that's quite something if what you state is accurate. More you know about it more you get that foxbat feeling of headline stats but limited combat application, then again i guess 91 and the Iraqi airforce demonstatrated actual capability and combat effectiveness of both 25 and 29's against was was classed as a peer adversay with the 4th gen F15/F16/F18, then again in the Balkans later in the 90s. Add in the DL/C3 stuctures for the timeframe, starts to make sense just how vunerable they where, and also why many fled west to Iran. Ps before a rivet corrects me on how the coolant worked on the 29 and what it was, this was a poor attempt at humour.
