There could be another reason. The copper on the RAM contacts oxidizes through time, its possible that by removing and adding the sticks again you scraped the oxidation into bare metal establishing proper connection again.1 point

Rise of Flight WW1 sim has fully colidable trees. Others can do it. I guess the blackshark engine is just too poopy to do it too. (make a new engine)1 point

The romb or diamond is generated by the Pave Penny laser spot tracker. It is a device fitted to the A-10 in real life so its use in Lockon is realistic (kind of). Here is my standard cut and paste explanation about the diamond. What is the Diamond? The diamond is your Target Designator. It simulates that some forward observer has pointed a laser at the object to designate it as a target. Imagine we have some forward observer or special forces troops on the ground and they have spotted our target. They put a laser on it, and then we see the diamond in the HUD because our A-10 carries the Pave Penny laser tracker. That's the idea anyhow. Why is it there in some missions and not others? If the mission designer has set up an ATTACK waypoint and used the TARGET button in the Mission Editor (ME) to mark a particular target(s), then you will see the diamond as soon as you change to air to ground mode (7). If the target is out of the field of view of the HUD it will have an X through it. If you kill the target and there are multiple targets are set up, the diamond moves to the next target (simulating the friendly ground troops moving their laser designator onto the next target), and finally dissapears when you have killed all the marked targets. Some mission designers might only mark some or none of the targets you need to kill to get mission success, other targets may only be mentioned in the mission briefing. If there are multiple targets in a mission, you can swap the diamond between them by pressing ' key (depends on your keyboard - anyway it is the same key that swaps airfields when you are in NAV - RETURN mode). This simulates you using a radio to ask the friendly ground troops to swap the targets. One thing to be aware of with the Mission Editor is that you can set up a number of vehicles as a group. It is a quick way to set up a convoy for example. But in the context of the diamond, the Mission Editor sees a group (even though it has several vehicles in it) as a single item. The diamond will point to the 1st vehicle in a group. If you kill the 1st in the group, the diamond will move to the next one (the new 1st in group) etc until all are destroyed. You can't move the diamond along the column of vehicles. Doesn't stop you shooting at the back or middle of the convoy, but the diamond will always point to 1st in the group. This can be kinda confusing until you get used to it. Is it necessary to lock on by pressing TAB? All the diamond is doing is showing you where the target is located. You still have to attack it yourself with whatever weapon you choose. If you choose a Maverick then you have to lock it on, but if you use gun / rockets / dumb bombs, then obviously you don't. What is an ATTACK point? It is a type of waypoint, shown on the map as a triangle instead of the usual circle, in the Mission Editor(ME). As you fly your route it does not appear any different to other waypoints to you as a pilot. But used in conjunction with the TARGET button in the ME, it will cause targets to be diamond'ed. If the aircraft is an AI(computer flown) one, then it tells the AI when to begin an attack and what to attack. Do you have to reach a particular waypoint before you can lock on? No, but generally the mission designer will have chosen a particular waypoint (near to the target) as an attack waypoint. Some missions might have several attack waypoints if there are several targets. Before you fly a mission, look at the map, remember which waypoint is the attack waypoint (triangle) so you know where to start looking for the targets you are tasked to destroy. In one of the A-10 training missions there is the diamond to show you where to drop your weapon load but in the other using cannon and rockets there is no diamond. As I said above, sometimes the mission has been designed so there is a diamond, sometimes not. Is there a difference between targets and mission goals? The SUCCESS / FAIL at the end of a mission is caused by having used the Mission Editor to set MISSION GOALS with the icon on the left of the screen that looks like a sniper sight. Not all goals are that some target be DESTROYED, some goals are that a unit, group or target SURVIVES, this enables misson designers to make missions where you have to protect friendly units or defend a base. Having these as seperate actions means that a mission can have SUCCESS/FAIL goals set without necessarily having targets diamond'ed. Вот три фото ИЛС, сделанные на стенде проходившего недавно в Минске Милекса (два прямых вида с разных удалений и вид с отклонением головы - делал специально). На фото смотрится лучше, чем на самом деле, почему-то чувствуется очень сильный дискомфорт глазам и мозгам. Видимо, мозг чует неладное с фокусировкой изображения и "закабинного" пространства. Надеюсь, что на реальном самолете все-таки лучше (ну или надо привыкнуть).1 point

As I just said it Finish our work on 3D model (3D, Template, Skinning) => understand : planes are not ready create new payloads (weapons, fuel tanks) => Not ready don't forget it will be Summer, so holidays and the brainstorming could take time so, Don't dream to have the mod in 1 or 2 months The problem is that we are working on several plane so delay to make them is big. And actually, the "big" 3D is ok, but on some planes, we need to make corrections on little details, so it take time, and some time need to rework the template/skin job already done I could understand that delay seems to be long but we want to release a completely operational mod (with minimum 6 new aircrafts, and 12 differents versions of thoses 6 planes) and we don't want to need making corrections after the release so we take time to make as perfect models (and mod) as we can1 point

In the first and second mission points are charged so: 39 % for destruction of tanks and a landing (main task), 20 % for destruction BMPs, on 2 % for everyone (a minor but obligatory problem.) in the conditions of mission it is told - to destroy tanks and not less than 6 BMPs, it turns out 51 % - enough for transition to the following mission. If our armies are completely destroyed, mission in any case is failed. A maximum quantity of points in such missions - 59 %, do not pursue points, carry out of the task.1 point

As Romaniak and I already said We don't have any "beta" version Yet We only have separate plane 3D models So, we need to finish our work on each 3D model and create some new payload 3D models (weapons, fuel tanks etc) then, we will have a big brainstorming to put all models in the same LO, so a "big" MEinit modification. Then, when it will be done, we should be able to start the beta testing phase. A post (and some new screenshots I think) will inform you about betatest start. And, if no big problem appears during betatest, the release could be done. But, you could understand that it could take some months (because we have a life outside the AdA Mod ^^) we are trying to work as fast as we can Have a nice day ;)1 point

well there is no reason black shark cant run for me as well as it does for anyone else :smilewink:. infact ill be as bold to say Black Shark does work perfectly for me bar the little (big) issue that i dont have the freedom to host a mission and expect a random fellow black sharkateer to join. P.S. I wouldnt dare enter into a situation where i could recieve a warning through my communication. Frustrated yes i am indeed. but respect i have for everyone around here. and iam quite capable of apologising where necissary.i am also no stranger to the search function. but have not witnessed the facts about my issues so far, and if you guys earched upon my historical interaction with the forums, you might see that since the 8th of january ive been asking about this apparent problem i suffer from. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36520. i have PM'(S) this early morning telling me to use the search function because of what i stated in this thread. and apparently i should get some answers. thats frustrating to say the least. anyway it sure is time for me to bow out of this one for fear of alienating myself... i agree iam a bit moody about it all. rest assured i love it all here and will calm down soon. honestly im just so anxious to really get into blackshark which for me can only come from interaction with others and today it seems like a lifetime since i bought it. MY friend who i bought this with to learn and fly to some degree, he has now given up trying and gone onto other things it seems and that for me personally says somthing quite important to myself. It also makes me wonder if there are others out there in similar situ. in my thread about hosting there are others that have given up too. and every night i look at the servers theres always between 2 and 5 servers that just arnt connected correct.. I wont and cant give it up and i will wait forever for a patch. Over & out dudes. Just a lonely black sharkateer looking for some combat fun. Ali Fish1 point

Hey Ali, I replied to your PM's, as far as the changing ports etc, their isnt much I can do about that am afraid, the only thing I could suggest is turn off UPNP in your router since that auto opens ports for programs regardless if you define specific ports for whatever app in your router. I thought you couldnt host at all, but after reading your last post here, it seems that you can host but the port range shown in the server list is different to what you have assigned, well if you turn UPNP off, the game theoretically shouldnt be able to use any port that you dont assign/open. If their is a bug in the game and I have heard of people speaking about this random port change before, but maybe its because they all have UPNP enabled ??? and something within the game is allowing the game to choose random ports on its own,which might not of been a problem if UPNP is disabled, which if you ask me it should be anyway as its a security threat. Disabling UPNP is about it from me, unless you are stealthed and have ping blocked and the game/server list isnt getting your info correctly due to that and for whatever reason is makin up ficticious ports ?1 point

I think it's worth mentioning all the folks out there who keeps the online community running, hosting missions, rebooting servers and generally working their buts off to keep the community and their peers happy. I've not played on that many servers - but I know many of us would not have lasted this long unless there was a ServMan, Quirks CO-OP and 159th server around to keep us occupied and content. Kudos to you all who put so much effort into keeping us interested and providing content for this lovly sim. :thumbup: Now we just need some fixes and features for the mission editor and tools to create more great content \o/ ... shhh - you didnt read this \o/1 point

well thanks for the posts offering help to me. thanks. i understand this post i make now isnt realyl on topic, but given the responses earlier i will post what my issue is that troubles me so.. & i appologise for my outlandish remarks earlier. especially upon ED. Just a frustrated person here. It was around 3 hours worth earlier i thought i'd have another stab at hosting that resulted in my remarks earlier. "i couldnt get these comments about BS not needing a patch out my head"... and then i let my attitude suck.. sorry to all offended. my problem hosting issue is the random assigment of port numbers !!! A different one everytime i open a new port both via windows firewall and my router firewall. i have even tried disabling both too.. so i host, leave and spot my ip in the server list containing no info and using some ramdom port number. i have posted in the multiplayer forum area along with my friend vekiq (same problem as me). i have flown online many times with vek by joining via IP connection only. and also via using hamachi and setting the BS connection to "LAN". its very lonely there via those methods. If i could actually meet new folks and entertain as a host id have a much better expereince in DCS:BS. it is the most wonderfull flightsim.1 point

Hello, sorry about that long silence but i had a rush at my work (the real one) and unfortunaly a big crash on my windows. my new tera western digital broke my system and i spent two week rebuilding all my connections, my touch screen, and saitek profiles......:mad: it is fixed but this week end i will be two days at le bourget, shooting butons, swiches and if i can an ejection seat to replace the lockon one..... At the moment, the side panels of the 27 are finish and i still have to do the same for the 33. the last element will be the uper elements of the canopy structure and the mod will be ready. so be patient, it is on final.....:pilotfly:1 point

Вот только не надо свой РЕАЛИЗЬМ в наши полетушки впихивать, тот строй, что держат ВОроны, в реале не построить. Нам лишние телодвижения ( как то перевод взгляда ) только мешают. И пусть не реально, зато красиво, и изначально речь шла всё-таки о виртуальных полётах и наши представители высказали нашу точку зрения. Все табло в поле зрения держать не совсем реально - у левого выпадает индикация механизации, у правого - режим. Ну или разоряться на моник с большой диагональю.1 point
