Provide helicopter escort for a pair of Dutch Chinooks. Includes a SP and MP version for 2 players. Number and position of threats you encounter during your escort are randomized. Perhaps you fly through hell, perhaps you don't meet any threat at all, but you certainly have to be on your guard. Reaction times are short and to engage threats quickly enough to protect your Chinooks can be tricky. Perhaps you already fulfill your escort job if you draw away any fire from the transports while they evade. Most importantly, keep up with them and don't fall to the temptation to hunt after enemies your Chinooks already left behind. I find that the KA50 explodes way to easy. I landed rough from an auto gyration after taking a hit and it just exploded(wasn't on fire BTW)... it didnt even seem that hard like 20 km/h impact. I began playing around with the KA50 repeatedly crashing it in many different ways. And from my experience it explodes way to easily. In one test I was traveling forward @ 180 km/h at about 2m above the ground and then I eased it into the ground with gear down it started flipping end over end and then it just exploded. Kind of anticlimactic. If the code were tweaked so the trigger explosion code wasn't as sensitive. This would remedy the KA50's premature ejacula- exploding problem. (Not saying its a "problem").

I was willing/waiting for him to Jettison the Pylons, go Vertical and attempt to engage with the 73's..........I Feel every time a Toad goes Down :cry: :D

А мне этот скрин очень нравится! Раннее утро в ЛО бывает красивое...

каких плясок и танцев?) у меня было все 48хх поколение, 9800про и 2600хт - никаких проблем никогда не было, ни с дровами, ни с железом. И уже честно говоря надоедает выслушивать про несуществующие проблемы ати ;) А "не более двух минут" на выставление графических настроек - это очень много, я за две минуты в каталисте настрою штук 20 профилей, не только для 2д\3д, но и с разгоном и цветом...

Где Хирриер я не знаю, но на первый вопрос отвечу: LockON - история! Это замечательный симулятор для своего времени. А сейчас пришла эпоха Digital Combat Series. В нем все управляемые ЛА имеют продвинутую физику и работу всех систем. Уже есть Ка-50, скоро появится А-10... А убрали нынешние управляемые ЛА потому, что они не соответствуют новым требованиям и поэтому будут сильно отличаться от Ка-50... Рекомендую юзать поиск. Удачи:)!

Well said....... There are a massive amount of variables to evaluate when it comes to a crash... its not just a matter of how hard you hit the ground...

В режиме обзора радар сканирует огромную область, и цель попадает в луч на время, ничтожное по сравнению с циклом обзора. Таким образом уже будет гарантирована большая ошибка, и даже если ракета будет пытаться "пролонгировать" цель, то учитывая скорости движения ракеты и цели она пролетит от нее на недопустимо большом расстоянии. Во-вторых, в цикле обзора может быть несколько целей, которые могут совершать маневры, соответсвенно может меняться ЭПР - какую цель выбрать тогда ракете? В-третьих цель может выйти за пределы зоны сканирования радара по углу места. Короче,если бы способ 2 работал, никто бы не заморачивался с дорогущими АРГСН. Есть еще Flood для спэрроу, но он работает только в небольшом конусе сканирования радара, т. е. по фактически неманеврирующей цели.

As mentioned above, your have to remember that despite the detail implemented in the damage model, there are still pretty fundamental model limitations in play here. An exploding Ka-50 really means fatal unrecoverable damage to the helicopter. Whether it would actually explode or not in reality is impossible to calculate, but in the simulation an explosion is triggered when a certain force is exerted onto the aircraft upon impact to essentially simulate a fatal crash. Specifically, this force is programmed to be 4,500,000 N or 45G.
