Guys, calm down... Yes the Eagles soar high and shoot from far away, Yes they have the advantage in this case, and Yes in FC2 this may be even more pronounced. And so what?!? Speaking as a long time LO MiG driver, if you keep your eyes open, those eagles are not such a problem. You may not have the advantage of First-look first-shoot, but you can very well defend yourselves against them. And if you're flying as a team, you can then press those eagles, once you have extended and escaped from their first missiles. One more thing - a better equipped enemy will only make the game of killing him more challenging and thus more rewarding! And that's a price worth paying in my own view...

Я балдею. Бизнес ЕД зависит от "чит" заводки:) Не понял как может "чит заводка" повлиять на покупку. Вы же уже купили. А точнее барыги уже давно заплатили производителям при оптовой закупке дисков и постепенно подкупают по мере реализации. Зачем тогда ныть за АФМ кабины и морочить голову ЕД. Может просто сделать два аэродрома и гору между ними. Интерес к игре и есть потому, что реалистична. В игре для таких как вы, есть "игровой" режим. А вот почему в "реал" режиме, этот "чит", мне не понятно. Дзен! При отладке миссии: ставишь временно вертолет на ВПП с задержкой 5-6мин. и ускорение времени и вся проблема. замерь точно просто. Заводка самостоятельно занимает от силы 5-7мин. А не полчаса. Я поэтому и сделал этот урок-миссию для того, чтоб большинство приобщалось к реалу. А чтоб была аудитория нужно прислушиваться к просьбам пользователей и не жадничать. Миссию удалил, коль это вам не нужно. Да и чтоб не потеряли аудиторию из-за моей миссии:) Пацаны, есть пацаны! Свою лень и не желание учиться прикрыли какой то откуда статистикой, доходами ЕД, газелью, женой, ее родственниками и тещей в придачу:) Удачных полетов читеры!

The view to outside in the MIG29 cockpit, in FC1 is less that in a real MIG. Those who seat in a real MIG29 in MAKC, could say it too. In FC1, the sides of the cockpit are a bit high. Please think of it for FC2 Greetings

Its teamwork that makes this game realistic, Missile will never be accurate enough, many are missing the fun, so I encourage u to joint the teamwork and get the realism going ;)

Relatively new to BS.. doing my dues in learning and reading and watching lots.. I don't think my observation of flight technique is going to solve this one though so I'm going to ask directly :) Where is my pilot?! :helpsmilie: All my helo controls are waving around and moving by themselves, I've seen in other vids etc. that inside the cockpit there's a full pilot graphic with hands on the cyclic and feet on the pedals. I'm used to the 'ghost rider' mode in lock-on but having seen a seated pilot in DCS:BS I'd like to have that too. Just wondering if this is something I can toggle on/off, or was it modded in, or what? In case it's important, I have altered vid settings to almost all max, have a TrackIR device, and a freshly installed patched to 1.0.1c BS, flying various tutorials.

Yes most of the time im ranting for the sake of ranting, but what I don't want is to see you guys getting carried away with yourselfs as if 2.0 is going to be the be all and end all for realism and now we will see who wins at BVR. This is a foolish notion to believe, which many do, yes BVR should be better, but still not right because this sim will never be realisitic. For that reason I have to try and keep you guys in check.;) And California man, yes the Sea Harrier was designed as a fleet defender, thats why it carried a very powerful A2A radar.

^ +1 Those who say that AMRAAM is bad and Eagles are too are those who say there's 4:1 ratio of red vs Blue IRL. Can we expect FC2 servers with realistic AMRAAMs and 4 slots of realistic Eagles against 16 Su-27/MiG-29 with R-27R (no ETs)?! It's OK with me!

You are all fighting over small differences related to 2 missiles and 2 airplanes, and there are many more problems not solved, not announced to be solved, or announced as not to be solved. Besides, there are claims from all sides that he is handling correct data. Crap! You need real life combat experience, screw all practices and friendly maneuvers. Lets imagine that FC112 is 100% realistic. Who cares? Who cares when it crashes or freezes during every 5th play, and there is horrible lagging when I join server with more then 6 players, AI is more stupid then fish (but with beautiful 3D models!) (and who cares about realism if it looks nice, no?), and there are endless amounts of aircraft and missiles (which is THE most unrealistic aspect of this sim!). There are only 3 things that I care on the subject of SU-27 vs F-15 is: - Is it going to be stable and without lagging on a server with more then 20 players on each side? Or will I have to switch to IL-2 when I want to feel how it is like to play with 50 people? - Can I configure my game with a few clicks only, or will I have to spend endless months trying to get lucky with best hardware/software settings? - Will I have to use additional programs to configure server, evaluate data, tweak graphics, and so on, or is that going to be a built-in feature?

1. Reading much of what was posted here in this forum, I tend to say 'nay'. 2. If you want to make more people fly it in a more realistic fashion, the simulation has to be more realistic. Speaking in terms of radar / weapon parameters, missile ranges, ECM, effects like jet wash, more detailed weather etc. We'll see what FC 2.0 brings of good ( and bad) news. I'm looking forward.

I'm sorry but these graphs say absolutely nothing. I can also draw 2 lines of different colors that seem to conincide. Funny enough, I can also scan documents and find one area out of 90% wrong where 10% actually match. Then I use these 10% to prove my case is right ? This is not how to show things. The facts are not that difficult to imagine. Most changes in the Fc2 are based on documents from russian sources believe it or not, and confirmed by western ones. Similarly the Mig29 for example has become stronger in dogfighting ( and so it well deserves! ). I would think twice before going up in a dogfight vs a mig29. In Fc1.12 it was not very powerful in a dogfight. In my own personal opinion the F15 would no longer be my primary choice for guns dogfighting plane in FC2, more than that I cannot say. I know of just as many improvements for the red planes as the F15 in Fc2. I doubt the devs will want to release much more information given how I hear it has been twisted in many threads. People only read what they want to read/hear and then only spread THAT particular part of information. But I dont speak for them, it is their decision make. I can tell you one thing though. Every piece of change to improve the F15 in FC2 has been thoroughly gone through by the devs. They are very critical to improvements of this kind. If some of the people vouching for the blue planes got as they wanted, things would be ( from your point of view ) much much worse. Same goes for improvements of the red side planes. What source do you have that say ER-ET-blabla has not been changed ? What says AI aircraft has not been changed, what says color pallette has not been changed ? Selective information output from "leakers"... Oh about something another person posted : LRM was bypassed? I am surprised they would feel this an achievement... It is just a lua script. Just load another lua script on top of it or remove it. Or kill the lua export script engine before it reads the lrm script files, there are 100 ways. It wasnt designed with such a purpose. If it for those that want it removes 95% of the people using an existing flaw on their server, that is better than 0%, even if we cant get to 100% ? :)

The bounus of having a missile which aquires targets outside of what should be a reasonable scan zone that is all. Im taking about F-15 v Su-27 in this instance but it is also true of MiG-29 vs Su-27. It is the BVR breaker for me and what makes the maddog culture of ET, 77 and 120 so prevaliant in servers now which makes a mockery of true BVR.

What unrealistic bonuses in particular Frostie? I don't understand all this about the F-15 getting more than the other planes. Everything announced does not say that to me. Maybe it is because I have no favorite and enjoy all the fighters equally, but I don't see what the stink is about. I don't think it is because people here really do want game balance over realism, is it?

I have tested last mission (new version) and, despite a good idea for a mission, it didn't work out as it should; Those F-15 intercepted me (that is o.k., I guess), but here is a problem: Russian Su-25 kept attacking enemy airport while two A-10s and two F-15s landed on that same airport, completely ignoring Su-25 (Su-25 ignored them, too). Additional problem is that Su-25 made 20 strafing runs on indestructable Sa-11 radar at the airport. With some minor changes, this mission could work.

Bug in ATO S3.3 CSAR Hi in the CSAR mission the the location of the missing pilot comes over the radio as 'Latitude: 42 degrees, 57,5 minutes North, Longitude: 42 degrees, 19,0 minutes East.' however The real co-ords should be Latitude: 41 degrees, 57,5 minutes North,Longitude: 42 degrees, 19,0 minutes East.' The only way to find the downed pilot is to follow the Mi8 Apart from that it a great campaign Cheers Tom

Explain me pls how is possibile 120c kill someone from 96km??? But this is Lockon and you guys exploit game, a lot of f15c pilots. And all of you say Zerol exploit game when kill f15c... and i ask you WHAT ABOUT F15C EXPLOIT? What about kill from 96km??? And i wanna to say, name on my screen is hiden and this is only example how f15c pilot sleep in own perfect plane, some computer will do all for him. Maybe ED can do something for sweet dreams f15c pilots?. Su27 pilot MUST USE BRAIN if wanna kill f15, because F15 send CRAZY 120C and dont think where is enemy because 120c will find him in 99% cases in lockon. And im not say "THAT PILOT", im say "MANY f15 PILOTS join..." and priority for f15 guys is go high and fire 8x 120c (in many times randomly). Таких еденицы. Я выше привел аргумент, почему так не нужно делать. Наш мир, к сожалению, излишне материален, и зарплату ED как получать будут? От оставшихся едениц? Или пусть ребята делают продукты на халяву? Вы сами много на халяву делали? А на проживание денег хватает? а на хобби? Так что пусть все задуманное будет, а хотите сложностьей, просите специально для вас реалу - полное наземное обслуживание, план задания, реальный радиообмен, перезардку и заправку по реальным часам и на вашем сервере боевые миссии никто не будет летать, кроме едениц пилотов и то те, у кого есть лишний час-полтора к основному времени плета.

As stated b-4, Think about the F-15c in LOMAC F-C 1.0 configuration and how (In the right hands) STILL sent mig/su pilots back to the drawing board... Its all about whos in the Jet....Data link, missiles, power-plant, radar-management...ect...ect...will give you a HUGE advantage when a BANDIT is seen. As for being un-seen is where all of the advantages become useless no matter whos in the cock-pit... Think about it.........2.0....Hummmmmm....F-15c data link? That would mean I could fly alfot in my perch (With out my RADAR on) and look for the proper attack flight path, with out ANY WARNING until the LAST SECOND and then the bandits are dead... Powerplant....2.0 cant wait...now I can use the "Retreating Wind-Mill--2.0"...Good Luck people.... Well GG, I'm no expert and I have never work extensively on a F-15, just work on them a little during an airshow (airventure 1999) I definitely have never work on the Japanese version nor the Japanese version of the F-100-PW, but that looks like fuel to me. "Blow outs" and "Engine Stall" (or stagnation for that mater) are not something that happens slowly, so there would not be "close to blow out or stall". Every stagnation or stall I ever encounter during maintenance it just happen, very quickly and very violently. It is odd looking but apparently very common on the F-15J. They do have different systems, maybe is something they just do? Another thing: Again, never work on Japanese version of F-100, but The UFC (on old engines) or the MFC normally regulate/schedules fuel. They are control by the EEC or DEEC respectively but this componenets do not regulate fuel directly. During Sec mode, the UFC/MFC take over scheduling and control the fuel flow to the engine. Not sure how it work on the Japanese version, I wonder if it is different? EEC-Electronic Engine Control DEEC-Electronic Engine Control UFC-Unified Fuel Control MFC-Main Fuel Control

But if you're sat as the Electronic systems operator - all those switches and buttons, not even window to look out of... Seriously... Might as well program a power station simulator.

WoP has a good foundation to build upon. Anyone who played IL-2 when it first came out can agree that it wasn't completely accurate in it's flight models either, yet we played it like mad :D Besides, WoP, if nothing else, is a good interim until SoW:BoB comes out in 2008 I mean 2009 crap, I mean possibly 2010

I think many of us are trying to figure out the best way to apply BSVP and Touchpal when building Homecockpits so that we can display all the gauges, Shkval, Abris and Ekran. We would then place the monitor(s) behind a panel of the cockpit. Would the following setup work? 1) Can a networked client PC be used to run TouchPal to display Shkval, Abris and Ekran? 2) Would we be able to customize the position/resolution of the Abris and Shkval in TouchPal? 3) Can we have two instances(windows) of BSVP running at the same time with 1 window for right gauges and a 2nd window for left gauges? Thank you for your help with this!
