  2. Cool flying but... you should leave that pussy metal music out (that's really for woman, not for men), or at least put it way way more in the background. Muting is not an option since i want at least hear some engine noise if i look at a video like this... Now i did shut before (way) the end because of that.

  3. I was asked to show how to get the CDU on to touchscreen so i made a quick and basic tutorial on how to do it for anyone that is interested. You can find it

  4. I'm familiar with entering coord data given via JTAC but I have never done it in L/L format. I don't have Black Shark 2 as of yet but one of the members in my squadron has it and he says that he could feed me coords for targets he spots while beating around in the weeds ... but it is in L/L format. I booted up a training mission and tried entering location data in L/L format and used a procedure similar to the other format (just kept the type as L/L) ... but every time I enter it I get an error. I'm sure the procedure is fine ... I'm just not inputting the data in the correct format the CDU will understand as L/L. Does anyone know the format it wants?

  5. You might want to check out some youtube vids as it's sometimes easier to see than have it written out for you. Here is one to try

  6. Incorrect. The A-10C CDU and Ka-50 PVI-800 both give and accept latitude and longitude ONLY in degrees and minutes. So if the A-10C gives you a lat/long coordinate of like: 42 01.827'N 043 15.325'E Then the Ka-50 needs to enter a positive: +42 01.8' and a positive: +043 15.3' into the PVI-800 (since the northern and eastern hemispheres are considered positive). This is entered on the PVI-800 keypad when in Edit mode, with a NAV/TGT point selected. The keypad entry once int he proper mode is: 042018 0043153 where the extra zero in front indicates the positive sign (this zero is not shown on the PVI-800 display, of course- it makes the +/- field empty, which means positive). If the Ka-50 is giving coordinates obtained through the PVI-800 to an A-10, then the Ka-50, then the A-10 can simply enter: 42018 into the latitude field and 043153 into the the longitude field. The CDU automatically adds the trailing two zeros to each coordinate, and parses it into degrees and minutes. The Ka-50 is also able to obtain coordinates from the Abris. Abris coordinates can in fact be in degress, minutes and seconds, but under one of the option pages, you can change the units display to degrees and minutes, with two significant digits after the minutes decimal place. This is highly recommended, as not only does it allow you to avoid having to convert the seconds into minutes if you want to give a coordinate to an A-10, it also makes the Abris significantly more accurate, as dividing something by 100 yields a smaller step size than dividing by 60. This will be pretty significant if you ever say, need to call in a JDAM strike to an overhead AI aircraft with your Ka-50 ;)

  7. One thing you have to keep in mind when watching kegetys video is that you don't see a cockpit that is rendered of the Game-engine. This cockpit is rendered in a second program and "projected" into the render of FC by DLL hooking. All switches in the cockpit trigger scripts. When saying "I can't believe it so hard implement" and showing that video you are mixing Oranges with apples. Putting in a new FM/Aircraft is a whole different task than "overlay" a new cockpit. Don't get me wrong -Sure it looks really very nice and is a big step - but it is not a real part of the core-engine of FC. But to be honest : This sure fulfils all aspect what is needed for the Low-level FM that is used in FC. - But for a DCS-Standard there has more to be done then only have a nice looking cockpit overlay.

  9. Уже и патч вышел, а когда же будет допереведенное руководство пилота? Что-то все заглохло! Да и в новой версии игры кое-что поменялось, а руководства нет...

  10. Simply stating that there is a very likely chance that words will probably be exchanged regarding the difference of the A-10A and the A-10C. I was going to use "falcon 4 complex"... its basically the same thing :D But it probably won't be as big of an issue unless a DCS fighter goes up against a FC fighter. At any rate I do feel an A-10C pilot has an advantage when it comes to the avionics. Modernized avionics have the by-product of making things easier. It gives em more situation awareness, more weapons capability, and its abit easier to locate targets. Where-as I think flying an A-10A (given the FM doesn't change much) is abit easier and once bullet holes start forming in the airframe the A-10A pilot doesn't have as much that can go wrong.

  11. "superiority complexes"...lolll The only thing i see is less A-10C deaths and more A-10C kills :D

  14. also note, depending on circumstances, if you're given 42deg 34.278mins, you'll have to convert that .278 into seconds. .278 is ALMOST 1/3 so if you use 42 34 20 (20 being 1/3 of 60), you'll get pretty close to your target, and can then use optics to adjust as needed. I mention this 'cause the CAOC guy in Smerch Hunt (just finished flying it again), I guess, is just passing along what's given him and gives you MGRS for your first target then uses L/L, with decimals, for a later target. :/

  18. Well, not everyone uses this sim for the same things. ;) :D

  19. There are other games like ACE which will let you do that but you will miss out. By flying just FC you miss out on the extra features a sim like DCS A-10C has. The study level for the C is not that much its actually a very simple aircraft to fly and use its weapons. eg for FC you push 7 and then d for A/G. In DCS I select the weapon on the MFD and push M.(how hard is that:D). If those aircraft such as the F-16 and F/A-18 were to be modeled in FC you would miss out on detail and features which are what makes the aircraft so awesome to fly. The F-16 has alot of features which when flown make it extremely simple and effective to use. By removing those features for an FC level addon it would be a waste. I do agree that FC3 must have an addon aircraft they must not just release the same aircraft again as in FC1 and 2. There must be more aircraft added to make it value for money. Maybe something simple but fun such as Jaguar or Intruder.

:music_whistling:

  22. Me!! Who does not have time to "master" A-10C instead put lgbs on A and fly...I can imagine there hundreds like me.. And why ED should take out the A-10A from FC? Are they incapable to create new slots for a flyable? You are really brilliant.. :D

  23. No its not time to kill the A-10A, what about the 80`s scenarios in FC, hosted by the 51st for example......
