ED & TFC, I am a long time fan and customer of your product. FC1, FC2, DCS:A10C and P51D are among the elite in modern flight simulators. With all of the announcments for third party developers and having knowledge of the process and some projects in progress by various people I am concerned that you are giving licenses to, to put it bluntly, the wrong people and not showing any consistency in regard to quality and potential. From the outside looking in I can't help but feel like maybe favorites are being played behind the scenes in order to get these licenses. I fear that this approach is going to destroy the series that has given the PC flight simulation world two of the best study sims ever made (A10 and P51). Not destroy the quality we expect from the dev team at ED but rather destroy the reputation you have created from years of high quality products. You have created a platform of amazing potential with DCS: World, please don't blow it by allowing sub-par products to be released, you should hold third party developers to a higher standard than your own, and as of right now, I don't think all of them are at that standard. I really hope you can prove me wrong. For the record I have no project, I am not a developer, just a concerned customer.

Moaning is cool. But be useful when you find your problem and explain what it is so the devs can solve it for everyone. Not everything is known, you can get a crash no one else has and solve it for hundreds of people and that would be really great for everyone. Reporting the crashes is actually useful. Saying you had one isnt really.

This will be available for a FREEWARE DCS Module that you will be able to get off of the virtualteamviper website when ready but until then, it is for FC2!

I hope the forum doesn't get too bogged down with a lot of this stuff. I know, you can just ignore threads but more and more threads are getting taken over with a conversation that goes the way of being too concerned about the future direction of ED. I can empathise with a lot of it. I am wondering how it might all piece together, how the battlefield can be coherent when it looks like some time vortex sucked random stuff over the course of 70 years to present day. The fact of the mater is there is nothing you can do about it but wait and see. You all feel invested in it, thats good but when you start to feel too entitled to it then it's time to have a rethink. Would be nice for the board to have the feel it did when we were all having fun and not beating our chests.

I love thew whole "Oh, you have 4,000 hours in some aircraft other than the one we are talking about? Your views must be wrong" attitude people take on here. Respectfully, I doubt that the P-51D's stall characteristics are such that the aircraft doesn't do some sort of shaking before stalling out, and given the aircraft that I have flown, this can mean a number of different things. However, I have never, ever flown an aircraft that DOESN'T give some sort of physical warning as to an impending stall, and see no reason why the Mustang would be any different. **Disclaimer: Yes, I am fully aware that there are some larger aircraft that will stall out with nothing more than an aural warning. This has led to crashes and accidents that have forced most of the designers of these aircraft to implement some form of stick shaker in order to simulate the physical effects of a stall in the cockpit. Especially since Matt has come out and stated "Buffeting and shaking will be added in the near future." DCS is a GAME that SIMULATES AN AIRCRAFT TO THE BEST OF ITS ABILITY. Please do not forget that simulations will inevitably get a multitude of things wrong, and that the only way to get 100% fidelity is to go out and fly the real aircraft.

Yep, affirmative! You can create a .wav file and assign it on a unit, or trigger zone. With loop option, desired power (White noise on mountains) ans frequency. Now open finalcutpro and make good chat between awacs and BLUFOR! Enjoy

590 - это 2 слегка даунклокнутых графических чипа 580-х на одном текстолите, считай 2 карточки в одной дырке, тот же слай. Слай из 2-х 590-х это квад уже)) (для маньяков и шизиков)). Слай производительнее, но с ним больше геморроя в плане драйверов и т.п., что зачастую приводит к значительному падению производительности даже по сравнению с одиночной 580 картой (судя по отзывам, владельцы ждут месяца по 2 после выхода некоторых игр, пока в драйвера внесут поддержку и т.п.). теперь о отсутствии PCI 3.0. Are you SERIOUS?!? It's an 'orrible ornicopter! :D DCS ooozes fast jet, and the A10 was just DCS getting up to speed (which is why it's slow). I subliminally checked in the deepest recesses of my sub-conscious and DCS could also ooozefighters from WWII era. Would I lie to you Mustur? No way! :music_whistling:

Nuff said here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=89427 If any 3rd party add-ons turn out subpar I think it will detract from the DCS Series reputation as a whole and although I welcome this new brave world with non-ED devs (as there's certainly a reasonably good chance many good projects will come to fruition from this), I'd still strongly dislike seeing a shoddy add-on with a 'DCS Series' logo stamped on it next to ED's flagship product lineup! My 2 cents.
