?? cant pickle missiles in F-15C ( FC3) ??
JEFX replied to JEFX's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
ah.... thanks Witchking, I had forgotten about this (have been flying only A-10C in the last 2 years...) -
Sorry if this is a stupid question... I feel very funny to ask this after having flown all varieties of Falcon and Lockon from the beginning until now... but... I cannot fire missiles from the F-15C in FC3 ? either with the pickle button of my TMWH or with the keyboard shortcut Ralt-space ? everything looks fine, the radar is locked, the missiles are loaded and selected and the launch authorization lights are on... but I cannot launch? By the way, it is not a keyboard problem because the space bar fires the gun no problem... what am I missing? thanks

perhaps a workaround : I had the same problem. I uninstalled my LOMAC and reinstalled it and it then recognized it fine. It took 10 minutes.

I have had several CTDs this morning with FC3 and latest version of DCSW (1.2.2). Once it was in the GUI while playing around with the controls options and the other one was in flight with the F-15C and switching AA modes. Anyone else experiencing CTDs? I must say that bout A-10C and World have been totally stable in the last 2 years. I have had NO CTDs ever in those 2 years with these programs. thanks

ok found a way to convert to PDF and here is the list of key commands for F-15C in FC3 Keyboard.pdf hope this helps:) jefx

well I found something! In the OPTIONS of the simulator, if one selects the CONTROLS tab, and then just below, an aircraft (say the new F-15C, and directly on the right of it a category of controls, say ALL, then, at the bottom of the window, there is a new? button labeled HTML which I clicked and ''LO'' in the SAVED GAMES directory, in the right aircraft folder inside of a new INPUTLAYOUTS.TXT folder, here is a KEYBOARD.HTML list of all keyboard commands!!! I cannot upload it here because when I try the forum system tells me : INVALID FILE but I just printed it and it is great! hope this helps!

thanks for the quick answer Mustang but where you told be, there is only a .lua file that is very difficult to read?? I am looking for a normal .doc or .pdf list of the key commands (although I noticed that they really are close to FC2 key bindings...). thanks

anyone knows where to find a list of FC3 key commands (in order to program the HOTAS)? thanks

DCS Calender - What day is 000 (sunrise/sunset, moon phases)
JEFX replied to MadTommy's topic in Mission Editor
Yes really useful, thanks! I believe that it would be a very logical programming item if ED made it so that when one selects a season in the weather pane of the ME, the DAY OF MISSION ajusts automatically to the proper DAY OF THE YEAR for the season, no? -

Click- and Customizable Radio Menu for DCS World
JEFX replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hi PeterP No pressure, but just wanted to know if you had any progress here, because I really thought that this is a very important mod for me (TripleH user) thanks! Jean-Francois -
Sorry Grimes I have been very busy with work. Thanks for your patience, I will try to make it useful in my mission building! thanks

DCS CoPilot. New iPhone/iPad app in development
JEFX replied to TigersharkBAS's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi Tiger! Your site is offline and I cannot find the info anywhere... Is your great App out yet? Didnt see it in iTunes App store? thanks -
Tanks for the answer, GRIMES. Can You explain how you would use triggers and randomization to make groups appear at a random moment in the mission? At the beginning I thought that a continuous trigger with a 1% (minimum) random would do the trick, but it needs only around 250 ciycles (4 minutes) and all groups are spawned:( is there a way to do this with a smaller random chance of occuring? thanks for your continuous help!!!
-
MadTommy, I really like your idea of 'fluff', it is very close to the principle of the 'bubble' in good ol F4, and it was there for the same CPU saving reason!.
-
no need to change the start time for later anymore. Just tick LATE ACTIVATION in the unit's panel in the editor. :smilewink:
-
Sorry to bump this thread but anyone knows how to use and how does work this random occurence generator by Grimes? I just dont understand it...
-
I know. But it is a real surprise is'nt it?

I dont think my reasoning was stupid... I my understanding, GUI (graphical user interface) is completely unrelated to the 3D world of the flying (it seems like it is even a totally different software...) and the sounds in GUI are little clicks when you click your mouse over an item in a menu, etc... I always turn this off in most games. In the 3D world, when flying, even with GUI sounds turned down, all sounds play normally (engines, RWR, gun, etc...), how is it that if I want to assign them to a trigger (same sounds) they are in the GUI category? Seems odd to me, but... DOH... glad I found it and thanks for your help anyhow!
-
woahw..... I found my problem and it is quite funny... It appears that sounds from the trigger editor are played in game as GUI sounds... In the OPTIONS, AUDIO, I had turned down the GUI sounds to 0, as I do most of games because it pisses me to hear a click every time I mouse click on something... That's why I couldnt hear any of my sounds (neither in the Trigger editor nor in game...) I cranked GUI sounds to 100% and now I can hear all sounds, including the excellent suggestions by MadTommy (sounds folder in DCS). thanks for the help, as always, guys! JEFX

Thanks to you both for the replies. MTommy, you are right, my .WAV doesnt play when I push the PLAY button in the trigger editor... I was using a very stupid WINDOWS notify sound, (I thought just to make sure I dont use a weird .WAV file...) but it seems not supported... Sorry Druid, I am trying to attach the file (upload) and the forum engine says : invalid file... It is the most common Windows Notify.WAV found in every Windows system sounds... I dont know what type of sound can I use and where to find them? Do you have a suggestion? (I just want a good electronic kind of BEEP to alert the pilot when I make a message to him via the trigger MESSAGE TO COALITION) any suggestion? thanks a lot

Sorry to insist, but anyone having this problem? Is it a bug or something I am not doing right? I really would like to make this work... thanks in advance!!!
