Problem DCS now not starting with Open XR in my Aero
zildac replied to dburne's topic in Virtual Reality
It's odd that OXRTK enabled is causing the crash as you and I appear to be running pretty much the exact same HW and SW and I only ever experienced an issue when I either a) forgot to reinstall the wrapper after a VB update or b) Was running an older version of OXRTK with Turbo Mode enabled. I would personally try a slow repair just to be absolutely certain, as it doesn't appear to be a VB or OXRTK issue. See if that helps. The final option is to start OXRTK in safe mode and "spam" CTRL F1 F2 F3 to delete all the OXRTK DCS settings. null -

Odd, this looks fine. And comparative to my log. May have to wait for @mbucchia to jump back in as I can't think of anything obvious. Presumably you've run a slow repair etc etc? -

OK, well, that's progress. Are you running 1.2.4? And can you post your OXRTK log file? -

OK, which version. Lower than 1.2.4 may cause the issues you are describing. As a quick test, disable OXRTK using the companion app and try DCS again, and let us know. Also, the log from OXRTK would be useful you can grab it here: -

Do you have Open XR Toolkit installed? -

Mine (working) looks exactly the same except my Varjo install path is "C:\Varjo\" as opposed to "C:\Program Files\Varjo" not that this should not make any odds. Permissions issue is unlikely I suspect. @dburne Do you have OpenXR toolkit installed? null -
This seems like a sensible assumption, agreed.

Source?

And you’ve added the cmdline options to the DCS.EXE not the Updater shortcut?

If you're using DCS OB I would personally go the native Open XR route using Varjo Base OpenXR and install the wrapper to sort out the cockpit cursor misalignment. There is zero to no benefit to using SteamVR unless you rely on tools such as FpsVR. Furthermore as I recall you will not require the cross eye tool this route. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/topic?url=/topic/318268-varjo-aero-dcs-native-oxr-oxrtk-and-offset-cockpit-cursor-issues-fixed/&share_tid=318268&share_fid=74365&share_type=t&link_source=app

Odd, because I still have the MOD enabled, and I'm running the latest OB. What are the "symptoms" it's incompatible?
-
Has enabling msi caused you issues? I've had it enabled for a fair while and priority set to high. I've not noticed any detrimental affect, nor any obvious benefit to be fair.

Are you referring to enabling message signalled interrupts for the gpu and the associated utility or the "actual" msi vendor gpu utility?

Cannot turn off/get rid off the canopy reflection
zildac replied to mwlue's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Have you tried this? https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3328443/ 2.8 introduced some "odd" canopy reflections IMHO. -
Rename one of the exes?

OXRTK MR settings only applies to WMR headsets.

Varjo Aero: Общее руководство для новых владельцев
zildac replied to Supmua's topic in Virtual Reality
I use over ears too, the stations are elevated about 4ft and around 4ft and 6ft from me...have you tried changing the channels using the pin switch in the back of the base station? I solely did mine to sort out the high-pitched whine (2.5 inch laptop hard drive style), well at least make it more bearable. Not sure if that would have any impact frankly on the tracking performance. And obviously, you want them on separate channels.
