I know what this is about -
cannot reproduce MAV PRE does not handoff in TGP AUTO

Glad to hear. What was the key point you were missing? -

Is there an alternate gear release? I have used it in the F-86 a few times. Never looked in the Viggen. -

I think you can set up a landing gear jam with the mission editor, but I have not tried. -

I broke my gear recently with a hard landing. What are you observing? -
Could be that long whiskers indicates inertial stabilization, which would include steerpoint slaved and INR.

Machalot replied to vctpil's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
I read somewhere else that auto is not working. Sorry this is not directly helpful but at least hints that it might not be your issue. -
Ha, I almost came back to edit the post to say down but wasn't sure. I'll fix it now.

I can't move the cursor (the two reverse video asterisks) on the DED between the three lines on text. I can only hit M-SEL to end the current step and then M-SEL again to silently move to the next step. And the DED doesn't show it, the cursor just stays on the top line. Is that realistic?

DMS aft long Edit: I meant down, not aft.
-
Is there a clear definition of bearing as used in the manual? Couldn't it be refering to the relative bearing between the track and the destination? That would agree with the HUD tape.
-
And the pod records the data.

When you perform a radar fix on Bx8 and Bx7, the radar cursor will start on the right edge of the CI now. That is a reported bug. You can still slew it to perform a fix. In ANF mode, Bx7 displays in the wrong location on the CI, although it is still the correct location internally. This is also a reported bug. The steering cue on the HSI will show correctly if you select Bx7 as destination. You can also check in NAV mode with Bx7 as the destination, it will show correctly on the CI. Since the Dec 2021 OB patch, to complete a radar fix you need to press TV rapidly followed by T0. I say rapidly because the fix point will move along with the aircraft until you press T0. This is also a reported bug.

Trouble with BK-90 codes (92x000); they don't appear to do anything
Machalot replied to Nealius's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
I have submitted a bug report to HB. -
I don't have any direct knowledge of this but it's not surprising. The AI jets in DCS currently use simplified flight models, which I don't believe are fundamentally linked to the laws of physics, but are based on lookup tables of acceleration.
-
The game captures any available flight plans from multiplayer servers, which is what allows you to fly with a buddy using the same cartridge. You can find the files in the Saved Games \ DCS_AJS37. It's not in the DCS.openbeta folder but at the same top level. If the other cartridge files become cluttered you can just clear out the entire contents of the folder. Don't do that while DCS is running though. Another thing. If you make changes to a cartridge after you have it selected on the lneeboard, you might need to scroll to a different cartridge and then back to force it to update the flight plan pages.

Maybe over speeding the gear?
-
How hard are you touching down? Is it possible you're damaging the main or nose gear?
-
Check if your wheel brake axis needs to be inverted. I just practiced landing in a strong crosswind where I had a lot of sideslip. Once the mains touched down I was able to ease the nose down and use the thrust reverser, and had almost no uncommanded movement in yaw. I wonder what is different between our situations.
-
Why are you still having to make updates to this? I thought they incorporated your textures into the official release.

Hm,I don't have this issue. Have you verified you don't have a noisy controller? I haven't looked at the rudder on F2 though. I'll check next time I play.
-
Are you talking about high crosswinds? I have never had yaw problems while landing. It has an aileron-rudder interconnect, so under normal conditions you should not have to apply rudder. Or upon second reading, maybe you're talking about the rollout. One thing to take note of is that the thrust reverser will destabilize you in yaw if you get too slow. There is a red warning lamp in the upper right (same as the transonic warning) that tells you when you need to pull the throttle back to idle and disable the reverser. If you ignore this you are likely to spin out. It can also cause problems if you apply wheel brakes while reverse thrust is active.

Is there any plan to update the manual?

It's still Early Access. -

If you know of specific issues with the manual please post them, and we will submit official reports to HB. -
Preprogramming Two Sets of BK 90s for Different Waypoints
Machalot replied to ColonelColt's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
It's possible, and very helpful, to map the entire set of CK37 controls to the right portion of a US keyboard: the numpad, arrow keys, and RCtrl or Rshift. You can use all those those purely by touch in VR.
