Little known fact about the Viggen: the wings are just for looks. When you remove the wing structures, it reveals the dual rocket engines. (The low smoke propellant is in shortage right now though.)

I don't have that map but usually the mag var is shown on the first page of the knee board, near the top. Does it populate?
-
For some reason they implemented a random error in the Mag Var (KURSKORR) setting on spawn. I think it's within 1.5 deg of the correct value but the pilot needs to tweak it. This was some kind of compromise but I can't remember why. @IronMike?

Add new M waypoint for BK90 TOO in flight?
Machalot replied to Machalot's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Good point, I forgot about the recent changes to Bx6-9 linkages. -
Add new M waypoint for BK90 TOO in flight?
Machalot replied to Machalot's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Bx6-Bx9 behave like M points, so this would not be an issue. -
I don't have access to the manual right now, but could it be describing a normal overhead visual approach? In non-visual conditions like night or with weather you could certainly go to LB on approach and skip the overflight.

Look at the animated throttle in the cockpit while you sweep the throttle from idle to full afterburner. You will notice a distinct point where your imaginary left hand lifts the throttle handle up over the detent while you push forward. Stop just below that point and you will be at full military power (MIL). I use that method or the detent keybind.

Ok. I have that on an axis so it's possible I bumped it back on a bit after turning it off.
-
Are you talking about the night filter? I think it was completely off when I took the screenshot, but I'll check again.

The HUD looks great! And I like the new vivid green color on the CI. Everything seems a bit bolder. The black range and azimuth lines and CI cursor all seem thicker now, is that intentional? One change seems like it might not have been intentional. The horizon and altitude reference lines appear yellow now. I'm playing in VR.

But we have it on good authority that it only takes about 90 days to make a full fidelity model of a modern combat aircraft! But to be fair, that doesn't include modeling vacuum pump failures.

We should have a pinned thread of "MYSE1234's Master Collection of Viggen Mods".
-
Fantastic. I'm really looking forward to seeing these in game!

Indications from HB devs are that there is no plan to do so at this time.
-
Maybe an enemy missile?
-
Sorry, it's private for HB staff and beta testers. We do relay a lot of information between the forums and the Discord, especially bug report posts.
-
I think the forums are quieter because several of the most active members were invited to be official beta testers for HB and have begun communicating via their official Discord. There is still very active investigation of bugs and features, and ongoing conversations with the devs about the work they're doing to improve it.

I haven't noticed that before but I'll keep an eye out.

Using RB-75 messes with navigation data
Machalot replied to Schrute, Paper Sales's topic in Bugs and Problems
I just tried to reproduce it but it seemed to work as intended. If not a track file, can you provide specifics? Which type RB75 (A, B, T)? How many waypoints did you have, and did they come from the mission editor or from a custom cartridge on the F10 map? I tried RB75A in modes NAV and ANF with a custom cartridge, but never had a nav fix. -

I found this bug one or two years ago and reported it, and they fixed it. It's showing up again? -
HUD-glass raise lever, mousemap placed on hinge instead of lever
Machalot replied to rogorogo's topic in Bugs and Problems
For me it seems to be on the level when in the up position, but the active area doesn't move down with the lever, so it covers the hinge.
