  1. I stand corrected. But he still can't use the laser, or "laser search" and expect to see an IR beam since the laser itself is not IR. Edit: To activate the IR pointer, you need to change OSB 7 on the TGP screen to IR or BTH. Page 327.
  2. TGP laser is not IR. You can, however, see the IR pointer JTAC uses to mark targets at night.
  3. Like seikdel wrote, the A-10C is a lot more about learning the systems with less focus on the flying part while the Ka-50 is the opposite. Lining up for a rocket-run is fairly easy in the A-10, even when you're starting out and with the Ka-50 it's the complete opposite. I used to fly the A-10 a lot but have found myself almost only flying the Ka-50 the past year because of it's sheer fun flying-wise :)
  4. Like sobek wrote... Do you have any idea how much work is put into a single aircraft? I wouldn't say you're alone... But I'd say it's a greedy thought.
  5. If used with the TGP it will mark the point you are looking at. I (almost) always use the laser along with marking a potential target so the markpoint hopefully can be used with bombs should the need arise. Also, IIRC if not looking at anything with the TGP a mark will be created at the aircrafts position... Never done that intentionally though so I might've got that mixed with something else.
  6. Updating the first post would've been making the most sense...
  7. I'm just guessing, since it's been ages since I played FC and Lock On. Looks to me like you're scanning straight and up to 60 000 ft (two circles left side) and the widest area the radar can handle (two circles bottom). Scanning huge amounts of airspace takes time* and reduces the accuracy of the radar. *IIRC there's an indicator moving back and fort on the bottom of the screen indicating the current scan and what exactly (different band or something, I've forgot much about this) it scans for at the moment. Try narrowing (estimating) the distance and altitude to the target and set the radar scan area accordingly.
  8. My dream Cold War scenario is coming together just...
  9. Sounds like Trim is being reset. Check Ich666 comment. AP channels becoming disengaged shouldn't themselves cause such severe loss of control.
  10. This discussion again? There's plenty to read and argue with in the Wishlist forum... http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=147
  11. Pilots have to let go of the throttle too you know :) Perhaps they're a bit faster at flipping stuff though... I leave my mouse in the middle so I always let go of the throttle. Most clickables are done before any encounters anyway!
  12. http://www.twitch.tv/juclecia/b/338803011 11:00 minutes in ;) Might need to refresh for it to work...
  13. Well, a lot seems to have been happening instead of the terrain this past year so the lack of eye candy seems natural to me. There was the release of DCS World, the P-51, CA, FC3 and I bet there's been A LOT of work with all these new third party developers. Not to forget all the patches that has come out before and after DCS World. Why tease with something that's not going to make it well before all these other things? My humble opinion :)
  14. One can only guess... Might have been separate occasions, might have not.
  15. If you can jettison them it sounds like you are using the "wrong" master arm. Like many other said, track is useful.
  16. Well the start-up is something you need to learn, and it will come eventually if you just make an effort. It's very easy and forgiving when it comes to button-mashing randomly. I have a stream in my signature (aimed mostly) for newbies where I just record when I play. Older streams are saved so you can just skip to parts you would like to see more of :)
  17. Looks very nice! I'm gonna try it out :) Ricardos, while still awesome, might be a bit too blue
  18. Nice looking skin! Not my type of camo, but it looks like it has some manhours on it :)
  19. Ah yes... It's the old Captain Javy Dones haunting the pilots of the black sea, yaaargh!
  20. Have I got the Zulu time wrong or has it been postponed?
  21. Crossfeed allows fuel to flow the engines regardless of which fueltank/system they use primarily. Various systems, for example cabin environment, uses bleed air from the engines . Air which could've been used for thrust instead. Bleed air is therefore shut off in order to reduce the load on the engines aswell as make them perform at their maximum possible capacity. Engine Operate, well, I don't remember this one at the top of my head but IGN is ignition so I think it's a manual activation of the spark plugs or somehting like that. Explaining technical stuff in English is a hard one... :D
  22. Plenty of room on the red side ^^,
  23. This sounds like fun! I'm in :)
  24. Completed it in my third try at 12:04:13. The Su-25T is so disorienting and down-right boring to fly fast :) I'll give it another go later. 04:13 is embarrassing :D
