  1. Update VRperkit released. https://github.com/fholger/vrperfkit/releases
  2. If the Army bought them, they were likely $200 apiece. I still remember many of my BII list from when I was a gun chief... there was one part called breech block retaining tool, It was literally a 6"x1/4" steel rod listed at $400

    AH-64D VR

Man...found out this evening that jumping from pilot to CP/G really sends the GPU frametimes off the charts. They come back a little, not much when switching back to pilot seat.
  4. If it's anything like Reddit...I'll pass
  5. It seemed to me a few users were wanting to use a joystick application to map other key press functions to one of the analog sticks... I was curious why they'd want to do this considering the need for 2 slew ability. Unless a modifier will be implemented.
  6. Can you off some input on settings to start with using the ReShade SMAA? Like a middle of the road. I have a hard time determining if the slider is having an effect.
  7. Don't you need an analog stick for the LHG and RHG one for slewing cursor and another for MPD?
  8. nah, just map the 2nd detent on both TBH, I'm not even sure what the first detents are supposed to do in the Apache, like in the Hog it triggers PAC.
  9. I kinda like it. If for no other reason than I used it to set my in game cockpit scale using one of my real world 30 round mags.
  10. Can someone please make a mod to include Thunderstruck for the AH-64D in game menu? As in the Launch Trailer.
  11. Throttle or stick? I only have the X56 throttle, and I'm still trying to find out what I want mapped where. I also use PointCtrl so I'm finding I need less and less mapped to HOTAS. I split the throttle axis and use the left half as collective and the right half for power/both. I prefer this as there's rarely any need to pull them back which leaves the other buttons and mini stick right where I want them. So far I'm only using my HOTAS for pilot. I mapped a Playstation controller to use as CP/G TDAC. Very comfortable with it.
  12. I don't have one but on the Xbox controller, I believe he is referring to the buttons just above the "triggers" on either side (bumpers). On a PS controller, they are in the same spots labeled L1/L2 & R1/R2 respectively.
  13. AH, just noticed it. For now I just elbow my mouse to make it go off FOV
  14. Weird... I haven't noticed this.
  15. Is there a source of IR (window) in view of the HMD? Prior to PointCtrl, did you use a HOTAS ministick as mouse cursor? If this, then you may want to unbind it or add some dead zone. I still keep a mouse handy and only see the cursor during PC timeout if I happen to nudge the mouse surface enough to trigger it.

    Seat height?

I guess I'm going for best seating comfort...like if IRL, I was seated and place my feat flat on the floor back from pedals, would knees be up at about 30* angle or mostly level with hips?

    Seat height?

I'm reworking my diy sim pit, and curious if anyone knows the seat height specs... Floor to seat cushion?
  18. Connect using USB cable or Bluetooth. Cable preferably. Windows 10/11 recognize natively.
  19. Can't say...I've 0 experience with oculus. I imagine whatever you use to set your HMD resolution. Easy way to tell is set it to x number, try it without the button enabled in Radeon Software (view GPU SS result via fpsVR) then enable it, launch game from within the Radeon app then note any difference in fps read out.
  20. Ah... I was thinking like camera shake.
  21. I can't really give an experienced opinion, as the only other GPU I had prior to the 6900XT was an NVIDIA 1080ti. When I built my most recent PC I had gone for a Ryzen CPU, so I figured an AMD GPU to go with it would be a good choice. I did manage to get pretty decent clarity and performance from the 1080ti with DCS, but the 6900XT has been a pretty significant improvement. I'm trying to convince my son to pick up a 3090 or 3080ti so I can do some side by side comparisons.
  22. Meant to add...I never would have noticed it was working if I didn't have fpsVR running as well. Without the Radeon effect it would read GPU 100/100. After I enable the option, it read 100/150. I have since dialed back the per game slider to 70% and it looks incredible and the frame times are what I would normally shoot for.
