  1. Because you need the extra power it gives when you are close to the weight limit. With 30 or 40% fuel you are not near the weight limit. I may stand corrected: Tested with 40% fuel... u can just about not use water if you are careful and very gentle with the throttle and stick. maybe it is realistic... not sure as I am no former harrier pilot.
  2. Well definitely a good thing that it is becoming more realistic but does not mean the hovering capability after this update is right either. May need more tweaking. After all Hovering is kinda what the Harrier is all about
  3. Near impossible to land vertically without water now, even with 40% fuel. Cannot be right...can it?

  6. Tried again today both in the TDC action / no action mode enabled and disabled. I have the giro disabling ins option ticked on (no idea what this does) but tried with both ticked and unticked just in case... still getting this target jump which happens when the screen switches from INS back to TV So I did the same dive bombing (30deg Z profile) using the TPOD this time... Same thing happened... When I roll to dive the tpod loses sight for a few seconds and when it gains sight again it is completely off the locked target.
  7. only the first pass is targeting the wpt (ground). Not that this should matter at all. We are able to bomb the ground too. anyway, initially I deliberately did not slew to show that DMT was then stable. Only once i slewed it would it wander around and lose the target while the plane is turning around.

  9. tried removing the hook DCS-SRS ... SRS was not connecting anymore when going MP. Is it not the VRK hook that need removing?

  11. Ok so attached 2 tracks. 1 track (DMT bug): 1- select DMT/TV press DESG on EHSD -> go around. DMT still pointing ok 2- Slew to a truck, TDC action down -> go around. DMT pointing 500m bottom right of truck. 3- Slew back to truck, WP inc long -> go around. DMT pointing again 500m away from truck. Did a second track with similar sequence because watching track 1 it seemed on the 3 pass the DMT was still actually pointing at the truck...which was definitely not the case when I recorded it. ???   12. Nope. your mod has the correct directory structure to be copied into the DCS folder directly. Also generally has one profile for DCS main folder and one profile for DCS/saved games folder as mods get installed either in one or the other
  13. Just this week, the DMT has suddenly become near unusable for no apparent reason Let say I designate a target for the DMT just by pressing DESG on the EHSD screen (no tdc slew or action) ... I fly around the target, not touching anything and when I face it again the DMT/TV is looking somewhere else like 500m away from the designated target. I slew it back to the target, tdc action down once on it... fly around and when I face it again it is miles away again. Driving me crazy. Anyone had that? BTW TDC action / no action is not ticked in options and nothing binded to TDC action/no action toggle
  14. Have you tried removing your anti-virus? It caused me some similar issue when upgraded to 2.7

  16. indeed it happens all the time pretty much. I can actually select bombs in the menu but they do not show up in the preview and do not get loaded
  17. Dumb AI is a common problem. Have not tested in 2.7 but ED made some improvements and probably a lot more to do on that front

  19. It is fixed indeed. Except they messed up fuel consumption amongst other things so likely u'll fall out of the sky on an empty tank before needing a course line
  20. Hi, just installed VRK ... great to be able to take notes in VR! However I seems to have a pb using a Wacom One tablet In single Player, the performance impact is non visible however on a multiplayer server it sucks fps to a point where it is not playable (am latest VRK version and 2.7 latest patch). In MP, making the VRK visible once is sometimes ok but switching it off then back on spikes the frametime to hundreds of ms ...dropping fps to unplayable levels. Switching it off again restores frametime and fps to normal level. Edit: Seems this only happens with 1 kneeboard enabled. If both are enabled then the impact is much much smaller. ...I wish but no...

  22. It works fine. use supersampling (with oculus tray tool) to the tune of 1.3x or 1.4x and force to 30hz (Check Tactical Pascale's video on youtube - . It is not as sharp as a G2 nor as comfortable (even with the mandatory elite strap) but has a wider sweet spot. I have both and never use the quest 2
  23. Yeah don't know how the real thing works either. Would think TACAN takes priority since WYPT gets unboxed when TCN is selected so it becomes the 'nav point of interest'
