  1. That is what I have
  2. Tried the Quest 2 again this morning and got disconnections... sorted it quickly... The usb connection to the headset is really weak and easily moves when looking around. Need to use the velcro strap quite close it so that it has no movement at all. Kinda annoying because it is more comfortable to fix the cable in the back of the head but for that you need a second velcro strap otherwise the usb is too loose.
  3. just to make sure...u checked for the vr settings .lua file in the SAVEDGAMES/DCS.openBeta folder right? should be called HP Reverb Virtual Reality Headset G20.lua
  4. Having an issue with trigger for when the oculus package is on station (which trigger dialog and then scanning of ground targets by tornadoes). Just struggling to get it to trigger. I fly WP3 then WP4 then WP5 and nothing...have to come back to WP3 and circle then back to WP4 to trigger it but hit and miss...burning a lot of fuel I noticed that the waypoints as shown on F10 map are not where the INS sees them in reality. They are all North (on F10) of what my INS tells me. I play with INS pre-aligned and put it in true heading as requested in briefing. Edit: Flew again and indeed waypoints in INS are not where they are on the map...lots of triggers are missed... workaround is to fly with F10 rather than INS for headings. Not sure what is going on
  5. Haha no I realised that but a vr scratchpad was also on the list anyway so your mistake was much welcome
  6. yeee haaa...nope but I will now!!!! thks @imacken
  7. There should be a panel for VR users... don't need anything that is already in the cockpit for us but something with easy to find buttons and switches to trigger all the other 'sim related' functions and stuff ... views etc cause trying to find a key on the keyboard with the VR hmd on is not cool
  8. A laptop will always struggle with DCS. @Reflected's advice is just the right one to improve FPS. Regarding VR, if you have a quest 2 then use oculus tray tool and set supersampliing between 1.2 and 1.5 and PD in DCS at 1. If you have a Reverb G2 then steamVR resolution to slightly above the native resolution of the headset (like 3000x3000) ... This is around 70% setting for me but people get various recommended % depending on their systems. This will give you crisp cockpit without taxing too much. If still struggling then drop SuperSampling from these.
  9. u guys know where the saved profiles are actually saved? updated to v0.9.9B2 and lost my profiles in the process
  10. found this utility: DCSWaypointEditor. works well if you enter waypoint in it manually outside of DCS and they import into aircraft once in DCS. Have not tried the F10 map capture function
  11. Err, not me! Mistaken identity with Reflected.
  12. what's your hardware?
  13. These issues are notoriously difficult to trace in Windows. Could be Windows / Graphic driver / WMR / SteamVr / G2 headset. I recently had issues that were actually related to setting on the Nvidia driver (think it was Vsync put to FAST). Guess @AlpineGTA has done this already but worth starting clean and default settings on all of these components (starting with the never ending windows updates). We end up with so many tweaks to try and maximise VR performance that things can get messed up fast
  14. Nice How much weight in the back?
  15. Ok. Stopped using shader mods actually but was using subtle ones with reshade before
  16. Hmmm...don't have that file
  17. Damn...missed that thing...what is it? where is it?
  18. Think the vast majority of us needed to use the cross eye tool in DCS to make it comfortable. Note that I find running the G2 with resolution @70% (in steamVR setting and PD@1 in DCS) is giving me super crisp cockpit already and FPS is gr8 with this setting. I have to massively supersample the Quest 2 to get that but not the G2 so I end up with better FPS and better graphics.
  19. updated initial comments in first post
  20. I mostly do not see it anymore indeed. At least not when focussing outside so it does not bother me. I did turn off the switch labels though otherwise these would appear everytime the crosshair would sit on an actionable button/lever etc... that was annoying BTW... I assigned the stick buttons for left/right/wheel using Joystick gremlin rather than assigning them in DCS. Otherwise you can't use them when going through menus as they only become active once flying... I found that irritating in VR especially as pointing / clicking using that becomes instinctive. Personal preference though.
  21. I don't use the mouse...so not ticked under VR tab... that way you always have the pointer in the middle of where you look and you click right away
  22. Fair enough...I do have to 'help' my head too to click behind me
  23. What's wrong with the existing point and click using just your head and 2 mapped button on your hotas for left/right click?
  24. Hence the PS in my message. Not the solution for large multiplayer
