Yep it is. well DCX.exe is listed there. Seems to be app specific rather than folder
-
yep all in the right place (and using the older - non crashing dll).

Posting this in case someone had the same issue with reshade and managed to sort it. I used reshade when I was on track IR. Had a couple of versions installed. then uninstalled then retried and one reinstall later I could not get the reshade GUI to appear in DCS. Would still get the message that Reshade was there and a key would pop up the GUI but it just would not. Moved on to VR and now I'd like to test out reshade on VR...still not getting any luck with getting the GUI to appear nor the shaders to take effect. I have repaired, reinstalled DCS, I 'in place' restored windows. No luck. Guess there is a hidden DLL somewhere that messes it up. If anyone made the same mess and fixed it plse do share MAYBE SOLVED: Seems citrix is interfering with Reshade keybinds (even if not loaded up)...Printscreen is an unaffected key...no sure if there are others and not sure if conflict is solvable. Anyway...can't use menu (frozen even using printscreen bind) but shaders will be effective nevertheless.

Arghh.... tried that (pretty labourious process!) but no...still damn nothing, nada, niet, nicht, rien gonna post something in case someone came across the same issue
-
Been interested to test this on my system... Not sure what happened with earlier installs of reshade but although when DCS loads up I can see on the mirror image that pressing Home should bring the GUI it does not and pressing end does nothing either.... frustration with windows again
-
Not only was it hung but windows literally crashed. Ctrl-Alt-Del would not even do anything. It worked ok when I went on the server on my own with no one else flying but every time I tried with others it crashed. Shaders were compiled from when I connected on my own and did not take that long to be honest.
-
Nope. even the IC version...crashes my entire windows session when going on server...have to hard reboot. Weird. Possibly might be conflicting with discord/teamspeak/slack... not sure but I'm off it now
-
Was going on servers that do not require IC so thought it would

BTW @speed-of-heat decided to install the vr shaders (full one and light one)... works gr8 in terms of fps gain (guess the water transparency is a lot of it) ... crashes DCS on multiplayer servers for me... just loading and then not responding.

Introducing the Virpil Control Panel #2!
Brainfreeze replied to HC_Official's topic in VIRPIL Controls
You r harsh Imacken... Neck gymnastic only really needed on the first part of cold start (I do enlist the help of my hand to twist there). After that all buttons are more or less ahead so don't require much neck twisting at all. And frankly, trying to feel around the buttons to figure out which one to press just does not work for me . -

Hehe...VR costs you on video card but saves on cockpit hardware! -
I noticed that the TPOD easily gets blocked by the wings or ordinance when trying to find and lase a target with the AV8B. What is your recipe to put your plane on an autopilot circle so you have time to scan the area / enter coordinates / try out sensors with the tpod? How far, what bank angle, how high? I usually try to go in circles @15-20k feet about 5-10nm away from the target zone... aim is to have enough runway towards the target once it is spotted and not lose time having to fly away first... must be doing it wrong as tpod is spending too much time looking at my wings...
-
would think your video card does. There is a lot of pixels on Quest 2... your 1080 must be overwhelmed.
-
Just tested it too...same difference
-
Hehe...you were right then!
-
hmmm... not intuitive that it would work with AA. I'll give it a try to see if it makes a diff... I am at 70% resolution in steamvr at the moment (my spec is lower than urs) so not as sharp as could be on cockpit dials...will check if that changes anything
-
The one you show is the 'general' tab, not the 'video' tab (there you only show the app specific screenshot). The Advance super sampling setting is only on that video tab (and not app specific). But if you do not use the advanced supersampling then maybe there is actually no point showing the screenshot (other that showing advanced super sampling is off).
-
. One last thing I noticed when re-reading is that you do not show the generic "video" tab of steamVR settings. It has the Advanced Supersample Filtering option. Just mention it because I have not used it and was wondering about its real effect. Excellent post. super clear. Bravo re SS vs PD ... knows it gets on your nerves () ... you could debunk it by adding a small section in the 1st post... SS vs PD and just put the formula down.
-
Fair enough... It is the resolution setting in steamVR then I suppose. Always find it confusing because 100% has a different resolution indicated for different systems under steamvr. Clearer to refer to it as a resolution 3000x3000 for ex as 80% is not replicable by everyone
-
Dumb question sorry: Where do you set SS?
-
True... regardless how hard I try I cannot get it the right way around...ever
