  1. The age difference. I remember being told that the ideal age for a girl is half your age + seven. So if you are 14, she should be 14. If you are 20, she should be 17. If you are 31, she should be 22.5, so her age is not so far out as you think if you believe this formula. It's only been a few weeks.... I would say you are being sensible to take it slow and easy and not rush into things. You have just come out of a relationship and if you are still messed up a little from the last one, it is easy to mess up the next one. I find that most women just don't "get it" that men are quite happy to spend an evening on their own with a beer and sport on TV. This girl probably imagined you being almost suicidally bored on your own and assumed that you would absolutely love for her to come round for dinner. When you said No she took that as a big rejection and she was hurt by it and is now sulking. Explain to her that you don't want to mess up things with her by going too fast and seeing each other too much. She just might understand.

  3. My favorite Steven Wright "I got food poisoning........ not sure when I'm gonna use it."
  4. Take the Map Tours! Then you will know your way around the map and won't get lost :) Crimea Tour http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=145&lid=63&ttitle=Crimea_Tour_by_Brit_Radar_Dude#dldetails Caucasus Tour http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=145&lid=62&ttitle=Caucasus_tour_by_Brit_Radar_Dude#dldetails
  5. A really cheap and nasty way is to blow up a bridge or a building near your actual target. That will burn for ever and you will always be able to see it day or night from quite a distance. Not exactly a politically correct method, but hey it's war.......
  6. Dunkan Aidaho - check PM's.
  7. Quality stuff from the AdA team, nicely illustrated by the movie. Up to MajorBug's usual high standard.
  8. Nice movie,rep inbound....
  9. Surely you mean Nvidia are the only ones who can fix the issues regarding Nvidia 8X cards? After all, it is just as likely to be their driver code as it is Lockon's code. LawnDart. CTD is Crash To Desktop.....
  10. Here is the original thread (posted by G_A) about SuperVasya's movie... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=29995
  11. Addictive? Yep, worse than heroin. You are hooked now, no escape! You will have no money (paying for upgrades to your rig). You will always be tired and look like **** (staying up late flying). I can still remember that buzz, I suspect we all can - LOL. It was some A-10 mission I D/L'ed from somewhere. Flying in the mountains, took some hits, losing fuel, one engine, half the control surfaces shot away. Lost the HUD and had to kill the last 2 trucks by aiming the cannon without a gun sight. Struggle back to Sochi, engine quits as I run out of fuel, one chance to make a no power visual landing. Jumping around the room yelling "Did you see that??" to the cat.
  12. ...back in the Hangar. ROFL!
  13. You mean something like this?? ;)
  14. Always look forward to reading these. Rugg takes great screenies and puts great words around them to tell the story of the mission. Keep 'em coming.....
  15. Not Delerium. The track Just Be is by DJ Tiesto featuring Kirsty Hawkshaw. Released as a single about 2004. Also on Tiesto's album called Just Be released in 2007. You may be thinking of the singer SARAH MCLACHLAN, or possibly LEIGH NASH or maybe RANI, who have sung with Delerium. Hear them via these links. Sarah McLachlan http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR26415 Leigh Nash http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR61645 Rani http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR69103
  16. Short answer - No. I would say the answer is to get the bandits to split up. Way before anyone is in firing range, I tell my wingnut to pincer right and I'll drift left so we seperate out. The bandit pair will split up, one going after me, one after my wingman. I usually turn back in, lock up one of them and tell my wingie to engage. Depending on the situation, I'll go after the other one, but if you get it right you can get a temporary 2v1 in your favour as the trail bandit is out of range to support his buddy.
  17. I appreciate it is fun to go kill the other bad guys, but from memory I thought your only mission goal was the C-130 and his close escorts? That way you have no reason to go anywhere near any of the three HAWK batteries whilst chasing the other bandits...... I say - get in, get out, home for vodka and medals :)
  18. Never watched the cartoons, but Aaah, happy memories of when I was about 8yrs old, going to the Saturday morning kids cinema in the 1960's. They used to show the original black and white 1930's Flash Gordon serial ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0027623/ ) with Buster Crabbe. His spaceship had only one lever and a big flashing light in the cockpit, now that's what I call technology.....
  19. Highwayman-Ed makes a good point, if vehicles hit a slope they will stop. Which airbase was this mission set up around? Is it hilly? Ed's point also reminds me of another point - Built up urban areas. Because of the way the collisions are modelled for buildings, having a vehicle travel through a village, town or city area off road, you can see it take very convoluted routes to avoid colliding with the buildings. I have seen vehicles get eventually stuck and stop due to this. Another point to remember (for the future, rather than this problem) is that vehicles wont cross water. If you want them to cross a river they have to be on road and use the bridges, they wont go across even the tiniest stream when off road - the wusses!
  20. Here's to a great b'day and a small hangover.....
  21. Here is the official UNOMIG report on the incident. Link to UNOMIG report Link to UNOMIG report (Russian language) Makes interesting reading, some of their conclusions sound like ours on this thread. Maybe they did some internet research and found us.... :megalol:
  22. I can't really think what could be causing this. One possibility that I have seen in the past is that vehicles will get stuck behind dead vehicles further up the column in certain circumstances. Have you tried making the friendly vehicles poorly armed or unarmed, eg Hummers so they get killed without inflicting any damage on your attacking tanks? Can you attach your mission to this thread and perhaps some of the more knowledgeable folks could take a look at it? You will have to zip it up first so it is an acceptable file extension....
  23. What am I going to do now the football has finished? Sure there is Wimbledon ( just watched Elena Dementieva win - what a babe :) ) but it isn't the same. We were really spoilt with the great quality of football in Euro 2008.
  24. I wasn't signed up on your Forums, but I am now and that thread is updated as requested.....
  25. Fun movie to watch - a good laugh, great subtitles :) As for winning that mission, IronHand did a movie of how he did it - I'm sure it is somewhere on his site. http://flankertraining.com/ironhand/a2a.htm Others do it different ways. Personally, I prefer to circle around and get into the fight alongside the MiG's and go help them - I like to have some friends around and the longer they survive, then the easier it is for you ;) Even though I can't issue radio commands to the MiG's (only to my wingman) I find it easier to join the fight from the West rather than the North (which IronHand does in his movie). IMHO, the 1st mission is by far the hardest of all the missions in the Su-27 campaign, it should've been the last mission, not the 1st!!
