  1. Huh?? What tragedy? Did I miss something?
  2. Yep, I remember ya from UBI....
  3. I guess it is what you are used to. I got Lockon first and got used to the Mision Editor and its foibles. Then I got IL2 and just can't get into its Mission Editor usage..... One thing to remember with the Lockon ME when you copy an existing mission to tweak it is that there may be Hidden units in it, so you gotta check for that.
  4. That's spooky, I was listening to that They Might Be Giants album only yesterday. Great link - hadn't seen that video before - ROFL.
  5. http://www.lockon.co.uk/index.php?end_pos=135&scr=products&lang=en 14.95 USD for Flaming Cliffs. I don't know how much it will cost for post&packing to Holland from UK, but as the crow flies it isn't far!
  6. From a screenshot I recall seeing a while ago (on the Russian Forum), the new map area for Black Shark extends the Georgian territory from its present southern limit of Ochamchira (on the coast) down to the Turkish border at Batumi. From this screenie it appears it might also extend the map slightly to the East in this region? The Lockon eastern limit down here is a North/South line between the small Svanetian towns of Mestia and Lentekhi. Looking at the screenie it extends as far East as Chiatura which is perhaps another 30+ miles east? Link to copy of the extra terrain screenshot
  7. As I sometimes lurk on C6 Forums I already watched it - nice fun Video. I would highly recommend it to others on this Forum - B_R_D says 5 Stars. By the way Dobberman, did you ever do sub-titles for the full version of Bensky & Mutch 2 ?
  8. ...and I suspect that answer was setting the vehicles waypoint ACTION to be Turning Point and FORM to be ON ROAD ? You won't need 340 waypoints that way, just a handful will take them clear across the map if you need to. ;) Other hints that come to mind - Take them most of the way ON ROAD then go OFF ROAD for the final attacking. Be careful of OFF ROAD in towns as the AI can go on some very roundabout routes attempting to go around buildings. There are limits to the steepness of hills that the vehicles can climb/descend if they are OFF ROAD. They will not cross water except using bridges and you know how to do that now. ;) In open terrain, try out RANK and CONE formations with groups of vehicles, they can look nice. You need to check that each group of vehicles correctly changes formation as I dimly recall that groups of a certain size have problems changing formation and just stop dead in their tracks.
  9. ROFL - nice one Birdy !!
  10. Zoomie, just made me snigger when I read the title. I thought I'd give you a heads up on the double entendre. Worked with a couple of ex-RCAF guys a few years ago, they had some fun the first few weeks getting used to how some of us on the project talked - not only the dialect words that were used but simply understanding the stronger accents.
  11. See my answer on UBI forum, or the answer in the Main forum here, someone beat me to it on that one.:) No real need to post multiple times, have a little bit of patience, we are only a small Community and while some folks are on here most days, it sometimes takes a day or two to get an answer.....
  12. Heh, heh, if it only was.....:smilewink:
  13. Great work ZoomBoy27, but the title "Follow through" ??? :music_whistling: Viz Comic Use the Viz profanisaurus to look up the meaning of follow through.... While you are there check out the Top Tips. My current favorite :- ANNOY and frustrate Spec Savers or Vision Express staff by wandering up to their counter, squinting your eyes whilst looking up at the price board, and when they ask if they can help you, saying "Big Mac Meal, please."
  14. You need to split the bandits up first so that you can lock them up individually to assign to your wingnuts using the attack my target command. If you use radio commands to make your wingies split away left, right, up, down then the AI bandits will split up also to follow. Practice with 2 v 2. Send your wingman off to one side, well before anyone is in firing range. Lock up the bandit that goes after him and order him to attack it. Then turn back into that same bandit yourself, hit the burners and also attack him. If you get it right you can engineer a temporary 2 v 1 in your favour as the 2nd bandit will be out of range to help the 1st bandit. Once he is dead you will have another 2 v 1 against the 2nd bandit. Once you are comfortable with this, try it with more bandits.....
  15. 1. Lockon AI are sometimes stupid. 2. Lockon AI are sometimes stupid. 3. Lockon AI are sometimes stupid.
  16. Heh,heh.... I still remember how tough it was to referee a football game at Lake County High School in Leadville when I was visiting Colorado in '94. Elev 10,460ft or Two Mile High Stadium as they call it locally. They laugh at the Denver Broncos who play down in the low lands at Mile High Stadium. I wasn't laughing too much - by the end of the 1st quarter, I felt like I'd been shot.:helpsmilie:
  17. Russ|White - you are not the first person to ask this question. Check out this post..... http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=18984&highlight=time+of+day The time is shown as 001/12:00 and the number before the "/" is the day which you can also change as mentioned in the post I gave the link for. Weather. As Roi Danton said, the weather slider seems to alter the cloud density very little between no clouds and full overcast. You can get nice effects by altering the visibility range. When flying high you get a nice haze effect that can add to sunrises/sunsets and make them look hazy. A touch of thin fog in the hilly areas near the coast can look good too, it fills the bottom of valleys near the coast and fades out as the valley floors rise inland. Add some wind at ground level. it will move the smoke from chimneys or things you blow up, it's boring when the smoke always goes straight up. Adding wind in a particular direction can swap which end of the runway the ILS will guide you in to, plus some crosswind can make for a more challenging landing. Take the time to experiment, you can do more with that page than you might first think......
  18. If you aim to land on the absolute edge of the runway then he should land with you. I have made it happen a couple of times. More challenging (as I am rubbish at formation flying) and fun is ordering him to land, then flying on his wing. A real blast if you can do it without flying so close that you scare him into going around.
  19. http://www.alasrojas.com/Descarga/lomac/ficheros.htm Not exactly what you want, but Alas Rojas have a Saudi skin for the E-3 AWACS.
  20. LOL - "Hey buddy, you are dumber than a tree". :)
  21. D@mn that unreliable InterWeb.... Yep, must've been my service provider on that particular day (or somewhere in between) as I'm getting a solid 470Kb/s tonight from your site. I'm grabbing the revised Gimme some G from you now. Liked your "Ride through the mountains" - relaxing to watch.
  22. As Xealot said - set your first waypoint to be take off from parking area. If you are gonna start using the Mission Editor to make your own missions and start from Parking Area, you might want to read this thread..... http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=10922&highlight=taxi+time If you are struggling to get this to work, then if you are on Skype, skype me: brit_radar_dude and maybe I can talk you through it.....
  23. Downloading now. Getting 475Kb/sec from JaboG32 site. :)
  24. Here is the post on the CheckSix Forums by MajorBug to announce the movie http://www.checksix-forums.com/showthread.php?t=133391 The link in that post to the 3rd Wings download area doesn't seem to work right now.:( It has in the past as that is where I downloaded it from a while ago. Luckily CountryCowFreak (aka grizzly) has mirrored it here... http://www.serik.dk/page5.html ...and that link seems OK. :)
