  1. Such a tease:music_whistling::P EDIT: I want a pony too. Oh, wait... We've got the mustang. OK, I'm fine... EDIT 2: I didn't know that F-15C had CFT. Must find some lecture :book:
  2. Keep it red please. It's legacy, it's part of its soul
  3. I use Ubuntu at home (as dual boot via GRUB) and office but I think Windows will always be mandatory for gaming. i.e: How can you make a DirectX game work under Linux? (Wine does not count, we're heading for performances) Since our beloved games are not developed under OpenGl, Unity,... EDIT: 'Valve has seen the light, as have other companies like Blizzard'; They're just afraid to be rejected with 'Windows Store' emergence. But the fact is everyone still can install Steam,... OK, MS tries to introduce their store. That's fair. What's not fair is the manner they do this, by 'forcing' users to use it. But if you look well, Windows store is not mandatory if you're not interested in what it has to offer.
  4. Awsome vid. Awsome soundtrack rmx.
  5. :offtopic: Thanks. One of my fav sim years ago. And this is also a way to subtly hypnotize ED team up to make them DCS: F/A-18c or e... Muhahahahaha! Infallible plan! :music_whistling: :Offtopic:
  6. About EDGE: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1276096&postcount=19 About Multithreading: "We are working on DCS to saturate all your beloved cores, but it's a long road to go. Right now, the main part of DCS - simulation and graphics is still single threaded. Graphics drivers became quite capable of using several cores, that's why multicore cpus does improve performance. Also, new sound engine is quite cpu-hungry (it is completely software) and runs in a separate thread (actually, 2 threads - one for rendering, another for loading). So, I'd recommend at least a dual core cpu for DCS and FC2. The new design for simulation part, capable of using many cores, is mostly done, but DCS is a very complex application and converting it to a different internal architecture is not an easy task, so, please, be patient. __________________ Dmitry S. 7. Two things are stopping me to buy and install W8: - Does DCS-W works in? - My W7-64bit is running smooth. And I've been told that if PC's running well, don't try to fix it... So I'd probably buy it at this cheap price but I won't install it until I'm sure DCS-W is fully supported.
  8. And for those who want a Media Center replacement: http://www.team-mediaportal.com/ or XBMC There are so many more... EDIT: Check win8 compatibility, not sure... ;)
  9. And TrackIR is now fully supported in win8. New version of the driver: 5.2 - Beta 02 Source
  10. Fixed;) EDIT: "do you have any special dietary requirements?" You offer the couques for newcomers?
  11. Pinpointed! I tought the 'DCS: Maturity' quote was well ironic also. Just headed the same direction. BTW, if we, the community, were not cry-babies towards ED announcements, moderators would have nothing to do... ;) And like many other here I'm reading forum each day so it's always nice when we can laugh (virtually) together in this educated forum. Always positive, never personnal. (Another thing is that I try to take care on what I post because I'm not native english, so I try to avoid confusion. But if I'm going mistaken, just tell... positively :smilewink: ).
  12. If it's this one: "Panasonic Viera TC-L26X1 26-inch 720p LCD HDTV", I would say it could give you headache, it has 8ms response time. So don't be too near the screen and don't use a TrackIr. A wiser (and more expensive) choice can be the purchase of a dedicated PC screen like those screens: Google them... 13. Can't imagine the amount of work to model that. And also the serious poly reduction process! Hope the two next steps are 'DCS: Navy Jet' and introduction of deck-crew...

  15. "Nothing has changed" from Wags who has in his sig "Everything is subject change". Don't want to be insane with flies but... Sounds quite philosophic, isn't it? Keep good work ED. I'll be there when it's done...
  16. Thanks for that tip:thumbup:
  17. Want a Fix? Play THIS
  18. Maybe are they too occupied to debug their surprise-upcoming DCS: Su-27 :lol: No, seriously, I just figured that could be awesome. Maybe one day :dreaming: EDIT :sarcasm ON: Why want a new announcement? To say there is a new delay? :sarcasm OFF: No, just let them do their job, let them the time to polish FC3. The more time it takes, the more stable will it be.

    ED projects.

No problem, they can also be invited for Red Flag exercises => No excuse for EDGE/Nevada + DCS AT-802U release...:music_whistling:
  20. Very Nice Thanks for sharing
  21. Speaking about W8, Is there any news about Track iR Driver support? I don't see any.
  22. Sounds logic since Nevada terrain is designed to run on edge. I don't know if it could be activated with current drawing engine. EDIT: but a screenshot from time to time could be nice :hypnotize:
  23. impressive and immersive! Wait, ... Wikipedia,... those effects in a 2001 engine (release of vanilla Il-2) => ouch! :speechless: (2007 for 1946)

    DCS: The Future

I don't understand the goal of this poll. Maybe I'm dumb...
