Their Facebook post heavily implied they were discovering development would be more difficult than anticipated. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=345028713819474&id=105602767762071 This was a common concern about the delay, a new dev and an ultra complex aircraft. True Grit found a to deal with it, but it even mentions these difficult emerged during the last few months.

Well I mean from the sound of their Facebook post they did have to rethink how they do things and dramatically change pace. We were right to wonder, even if they found an excellent solution.

Explains a lot. Would never have guessed.

Does DEKA have to just do Chinese Aircraft?

They might not know yet. -

They mentioned their MKK EFM could be adapted for the MKI. The company that does the MKI cockpit simulator is based in Singapore so it might be doable. It’s really what they decide they want to do. -
I’m excited, it should be the most advanced flanker in game. Should be fun to fight, supposedly lighter then the Su-33 with a less draggy airframe, possibly more powerful engines, high AoA and a modern radar. Should be a blast.

Please add the J-15 and carriers to the asset pack

Here is the post. Probably a lot of work J-15 has very little in common with the Su-33. -

I think they are? -
https://www.etcusa.com/etc-commends-passing-of-national-defense-act-supporting-simulator-efficacy-study-for-2013/ this company in PA built a mig-29 and su-30 simulator for Malaysia back in 2009-2013. So it should be possible with a willing partner.

Interesting, I never new it was on the 34, either way good for us. -

Hey is their any talk of an MKK and MKI/SM AI asset? I think their is a N011m .lua in game if I recall. -

F-2 replied to TaxDollarsAtWork's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
I think all the Su-30s would have less kinetic preformance than the Su-27s because they have the same power plant but are heavier. The MKK it a bit lighter then the MKI family. -
I thought the dev was just way in over their heads? I thought the dev was just way in over their heads With the last attempt.

I’d love a Taiwan map! A few concerns though Taiwan is big enough to fit in DCS map sizes, but is one of the most urbanized places on the planet. we probably could use more Chinese assets. Deka is working on it but I expect we’re still a few years too early.

The SU-37 was arguably the most famous individual flanker ever built and one of the most famous single aircraft of the late 90s and early 2000s. Before however it was a famous thrust vectoring and technology test bed it was actually a highly modified SU-27m build for a UAE fighter tender. The cockpit avionics to fulfill a UAE requirement are mostly French with the MFDs and hud made by Sextant (I think the hud is from the mirage 2000). Sextant is Thales now, I don’t know how willing they would be to help compared to say Dassault. Khai in the Ukraine built the subscale test models used to validate the aerodynamic design of the Su-27m, they may have documentation and really have no reason to classify it. Radar is the N011m bars. Bars is reaching the end of its service life in India and should be replaced soon, giving some small possibility of documentation being declassified. India also may have operated the earlier MSA N011 With aircraft of the no 24 squadron, either with the SU-30s sold to Angola or early MKIs. if we some how got su-27m cockpit information that could be useful. Long shot but fun to think about. https://web.archive.org/web/20041026002529/http://www.khai.edu/niipfm/english/su-35-en.htm

This is from the April of 2012 issue of Eurofighter world. It seems the F-15SG was a tougher opponent then the hornet, Viper, and mig-29.

https://www.milavia.net/aircraft/su-35_su-27m/videos/29kKxgykUhw.html Some early su-35 marketing with some symbology.

In terms of raw performance the F-14A with the f401 or f101 engines and glove vains would preform basically the same as st21 and flight test documentation exists. Might be worth looking into.

F14E Super Tomcat '21 Project proposal and discussion
F-2 replied to Tank50us's topic in DCS Modding
You might want to look into the F-14 that flight tested the f401-pw-100 engine and the one that flew with the F101-ge engine. Both of these flew on a real f-14a and are broadly comparable to a supertomcat 21 in terms of thrust with the f101 being the ancestor of the of the F110. F-14a also likely would have had globe vains. -
Their are currently more full fidelity bluefor aircraft from the 70s-80s (f-14a/b, mirage 2000c, f-5e) Then full fidelity red aircraft (just the mig-21 really the same as modern redfor with the jf-17) Nor does that solution seem to explain why people are going to stop using some of the most popular dcs modules in mass simply because the other side feels left out. Modern blue is where most devs think their gunna put food on the table, this trend is unlikely to change. I expect eventually like the JF-17 someone will do some export aircraft, PESA, AESA will be no different then ground radar, wanted for a long time and then eventually in game.
-
Yea my thinking is the vast majority of red aircraft with better radar then the J-11 we have now would have to be PESA so might as well do it now.
-
The early Rafale with a PESA might be a good first phased array for DCS. Lots of modern Russian aircraft use it so the tech has other applications and documentation might be a bit easier to come by.

Su-30MKK Full fid or FC3 version?
F-2 replied to TaxDollarsAtWork's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
To be clear I don’t mean not do the MKK that the PLAAF actually uses, just if Deka wanted to add customizable options like the JF-17. Flankers are the build a bear workshop of modern combat aircraft. -
You know the model aesa?
