  1. If you want to improve beyond casual and want to fly in a multiplayer environment with human ATC, AWACS and JTAC. Then read this ( http://132virtualwing.org/index.php/page/recruiting ) and then apply to 132nd Virtual Wing. Welcome!
  2. There was a bug in the engine that caused a few bugs in 3rd party modules. Seems to be fixed now.
  3. As fixing computers and networks is my business I want to laugh out hard when I read that comment. But I won’t. In order for SFC to be useful you need a current repo to check with. You do that with DISM. So first DISM, then SFC. And you always run SFC 3 times if you wanna be fairly sure it’s OK. You’d be surprised how many times a week we stumble upon 2 SFC’s that runs OK and the third one find and fixes issues. Even though you run them in consecutive order. But then again, DISM/SFC will fail to repair even the dreaded start menu fail bug in Win10, so even MS recommend reinstall after DISM/SFC.
  4. Sounds like you also have reset trim bound to your weapon release button. Triple check :)
  5. ED knows about it, it's reported and got an issue number. Been so at least two months with Scale GUI on.
  6. I got a 8700K and 1080 TI. I have everything at max, 3840x2160 and 130 FPS + And I “only” have 16 GB of ram. But it’s far from full when playing Dcs so I don’t see any reason going 32GB for DCS. Make sure you get an M.2 SSD. Or if able buy two of them and get 3 GB/s write, and 4 GB/s read speed.
  7. 1. Only in A-A mode, top of the radar screen. 4. I don’t feel like the trim in SPAK is slow, I actually think it’s too sensitive.
  8. It’s built specifically as a scramble capable jet. IRL the ground power connector fall off when you taxi and the hatch closes. So the pilot sets everything up with ground power and wait in a barrack or in pit depending on the alert level. Once the scramble order is received the only thing you do is to flick start, then taxi on a specially designed taxi way straight onto the runway and do a rolling take off. For situations with really high alert pilots had the engine running and ground crew topped of the aircraft when the scramble came.
  9. You are welcome to check out 132nd Virtual Wing. We are one of the few vWings that do everything we can to simulate RL procedures and we have a dedicated wing of controllers that enhance our events. We will adopt the F/A-18C in our organization after the extensive training program is created and approved. More info about 132nd can be found at http://www.132virtualwing.org Welcome!
  10. I use default trimming mode. And I’m a click’n’hold pilot. It’s a lot smoother.
  11. Fixed in next patch IIRC.
  12. I’ll be damned! Thank you very much! Will come in handy many times :)
  13. Explain how you transfer NAVTGT to PRTz please. Or are you referring to NAVTGT slew (Shkval) to target?
  14. Everyone complying with NATO standards can use L16. I don't know any modern western aircraft that doesn't support L16.
  15. How do i designate a specific runway in UR ATIS (METAR)? I really want it to broadcast 13R, AUTO broadcast is 13 (but we have a parallel in 132nd). Is it possible?
  16. We will get a crippled version just like in the A-10C. It all depends on what open data ED managed to obtain. And what ED decides to implement. I have not seen any info on ED's implementation.
  17. You have JSOW and SLAM-ER for hairy mission where you need stand-off.

    ILS

Looks like we need to rely on PAR for regular airfields then.
  19. Don't worry, I know some of the AJS-37 devs. They all share one thing in common, some sort of letter combination diagnose. Otherwise they wouldn't have started, and pushed this project, inventing new features before ED managed to do. They won't rest until all the obscure features of the Viggen is implemented and working. I rather have the finished product delayed 6 months then wait 7 patches for everything to work. It's gonna be awesome! :)
  20. You will make some serious money if you keep the high standard. I will be the first to order F/A-18 HOTAS/grips when/if ED announces the module.
  21. Well it's easy to promise tree collisions for the desert maps :megalol: I hope they retrofit the current map as well.
  22. Yes, but it's not easy to see if the thrust is wrong. I'm not qualified enough to do those calculations and tests. Nor do I have all performance data, I only know max ITT and FAN. But it's obvious that the engine model is wrong in either way.
  23. Ok, whatever you say :D
  24. Also RL procedures state you should touchdown 500 ft after the threshold. Follow the indexer, extend speedbrakes to 100% after weight on main gear. Don't stand on the brakes, let the speedbrakes take you down to 50 IAS, apply gentle wheel brakes and take last exit. This is usually a faster way to vacate the runway then trying to set it down at the first few feet of runway and ninja-brake. Your wingman won't be too impressed as he rolls past you either.
