  1. Did you get fps gain through this update? I did not notice any significant change. What is your setup? You don't use a shader mod? That 'fixed a bug... water surface' is very interesting. Am wondering why I did not notice this, or was it a bug that was introduced a few OB releases back when performance took a nose dive?
  2. I tried it too, going back up to SS 100% from 80% (which is my default). My average FPS decreases with 5,5 FPS and my average CPU framerate increases by 3-3,5 ms.
  3. I just updated and switched back to Kegetys Simplex shaders. Loading was pretty quick. Did not clear my FX/metashader folders.
  4. Just installed the campaign yesterday and ran the first mission. The volume of the radio audio from 2 and the other elements was a bit low and difficult to understand. Any way to increase?
  5. Enjoy!!
  6. So when you switch off tacview the CPU goes to 99% again? Are you in VR by any chance? My CPU is also not using all, so wondering if the cause is the same. tnx
  7. I have the same thing happening when dropping cluster bombs. It kills my frametimes and FPS. It also happens when 30mm bullets impact target, as seen in this video. No idea what causes it.
  8. I think I am up to date. Will downgrade and see if that makes a difference. Thanks,
  9. For me it happens both in SP and MP. I had the issue before configuring TX Link.
  10. Nice sheet! Let me also share mine, may it be of help to someone. All generic system optimizations as reported by the gurus (like SOH, Thud, Lukas S. and others) were done prior to starting with the testing. These were optimizations like W10 updating, pagefile optimization, SSD configuration, DCS proces priority configuration, Windows services optimization, HPET, gamebar, hotplug, dynamic tics, XMP profile and hyperthreading. All changes made within DCS were tracked, also within NVIDIA control panel, WMR, various DCS mods, GPU and CPU overclocking. For OB updates and driver updates I kept track of the versions. So far ran 55 tests. The first 26 tests used SOH's track file no. 276, after that used my own track file which I created in the hog to stay as close to my situation as possible. I usually run a test after making 1 modification to see the impact and sometimes go back and forth (switch back to the prior setting and retest, redo the setting and test again) just to confirm. The changed setting is every time marked in red. The actual impact is displayed in lines 5-8, using earlier discussed method in FPSVR to capture in CSV file and calculating performance averages across the whole track file, which to me give a very fair impression. Sometimes also note down the reprojection ratio as observed in FPSVR on screen, but this is not very stable I must say. I have no idea why that is. Also created a chart to visualize the DCS performance on my rig over time. GPU framerate (the orange line) is steadily improving it seems, even though shader mods become less effective because of game resource encryption. The graphics look good enough for me with the current settings. I judge them by my personal experience within the pit (inside VR) and by looking at the recordings on Youtube to see if it is a smooth experience (Youtube does quite some compresssion and downsampling). The next couple of tests will be focused on cloud settings. (Current clouds are better than those circling clouds of older DCS versions but to me the current distant clouds are really ugly and a big distractor, so I think to turn them all the way down to gain a bit more performance. If only there was a way to stop the trees from growing and moving while flying over them.. This would make me a happy simmer.) Another thing I don't fully understand is my GPU is never really utilized >90%, as reported in FPSVR. So there should be more performance to be gained by utilizing the final 5-10%? I just don't know how to do this. The performance is bound by GPU. GPU is in orange, CPU is usually in the green. See my rig specs in my signature.
  11. Tried it, no effect. Still the same behaviour.
  12. Will try, thanks
  13. I understand, but it happened to my FL as well at the same time and not to others on the same server, which is making it a bit weird. We are both from different countries.
  14. It happened to me a couple of times last week too. The second time it happened it also happened to my flight lead at about the same time. About 8 others from our flight group, who were also connected to the same server at the same moment did not have this issue. No idea what is causing this and it is deeply frustrating.
  15. I have a similar issue for a while now and I think we messaged about this before on Discord, but I did not get it fixed yet. PTT works but after a while it switches around. Releasing the radio button triggers a PTT listen and pressing the button triggers a suspend. My workaround for now is Resetting Vaicom. This fixes it for a while but it keeps coming back. So I now have a HOTAS shortcut bound for Vaicom Pro reset.. I also have to keep the VP squelch sounds on, so it is clear to understand the difference between push and release and when I hear them incorrectly I reset VP. I will also turn on debug in VP and post my VA log.
  16. Ahhh that is brilliant! Why did I not think of that? Will add it to my OVGME. Just so I understand; With every OB update I unload all core mods, run the DCS update and then load the mods (the VR shaders mod, followed by the 'FXO/metashaders2 folder'-mod, followed by all other mods? Thanks!!
  17. I use it mainly for scribbling down the gameplan and 9-lines. Works like a charm (if only my blind typing would be better).
  18. I clocked her at 500KIAS (doing an unrealistic maneuver while trying to find her max).
  19. Thanks I will give it another go then. No idea what is going on on my side performance-wise. Cheers!
  20. Is there a way to have the scratchpad open and still use the numpad of the keyboard to enter coordinates into the CDU? Currently everything gets entered into the scratchpad when it is open, so I have to use the mouse to punch buttons on the actual CDU or UFC. Thanks,
  21. Shadows for Reduced Frame Rate Impact now gives me a performance degradation (about 10+ FPS loss, no GPU frametime stays about the same). Are you still using it and experiencing the same? Are you still using Reshade? I have tried quite a few different versions, amongst which your 'Sharper Eye reshade' and 'Subtle' and another 'CAS Sharpen MSAA'-only version. I notice they all are quite heavy on the performance, even with default or turned down parameters. I also noticed that when Reshade is loaded, but all the effects are disabled it still takes a toll on my system performance. Fully removing it from the \bin gave me back a ton of performance (18FPS, GPU frametime stays about the same).
  22. The full version, this is the one that give the most fps win. As far as I know the open water is the most performant one at the moment but I will install the simplex instead, to be able to quickly change mod combinations without having to wait too long. You reported just earlier the Kegetys mod is degrading performance? Did you look at the simplex version(VR Shaders 2.7.0.4625_v2.1 (Simplex))? See the first post of this thread to get the patch to make it working with the last beta. Just to be clear I follow you; you mean your 3Dmigoto patch for the last OB? (DCS VR Shaders mod patch for 2.7.7.14727 in your zipfile) Do not use the patch for my mod if you want to benchmark it. I don't understand. Why not? And I think it's best to use a real mission than a track to do testing, otherwise you may miss the real mission game context and find fps win you'll never seen when playing. If I were to fly real missions to compare it would take very long (so not feasible to do many quick tests) and I would have to turn on motion smoothing (otherwise I could not stand the visuals), which would render the testing useless because it would try to force the 45FPS. The FPSVR benchmarking via trackfiles works really well and gives me a way to 1-to-1 compare changes, even though it gives me averages and does not include everything I will encounter in a mission. When I install 3Dmigoto I keep getting the washed out hangar and night issue. (same screen as posted earlier by Sr.) I ran a DCS repair and cleaned the metashaders2 and FX shaders as well. I installed and reinstalled and tested 3Dmigoto 2 times in a row. Everytime the same issue..
