Restricting works fine for me too. I would however like to be able to just not have the coms menu appear all the time when there is a dialog. These texts really take some of the immersion out of it. I prefer having nothing dispplaying at all and just use the VR scratchpad to make my own notes.

So I removed the check mark 'Allow other commands to execute while this one is running' from all of the commands in the profile(which is turned on by default in all), as I have no clue which one could be the cause (if this is indeed the issue). Will upgrade again to the latest version and see if it made a difference. Thanks for the tip!

So yesterday played mission 2. A-10CII on latest OB. It was fun! But I had some strange experiences, which I would like to share. The biggest issue was a messy situation around 1:10:17. It made me engage the wrong targets I think. For reference video timestamps are added. Wingman decided to taxi and take off by himself, right after taxi clearance is given by ATC. (guess DCS AI) Radio voice-overs become active just before line up. Audio doesn't match up because 2 is already airborne. (13:50) ATC gives clearance for take-off without receiving a request. (14:22) Not able to give 2 formation commands, like trail. Could not locate the helo following prowler (31:44) After show of force to the truck it turns behind building but then goes back to the road. No effect on Prowler. After contacts from Overlord GG 311 388 entered them as WP, was about to check them out visual but Prowler was already engaging. Could this Overlord call maybe made a bit sooner to give time for recon (1:03:10) Very unclear situation. Overlord, FL and Prowler stepping onto eachother's radios, big mess (1:10:17) Prowler advances while I am getting green light to engage Prowler halts without reason and can not be informed to proceed (1:15:35) 2 has strange behaviour in the break (1:23:10) and keeps saying 2 rejoin. Even after telling it to go RTB. (DCS AI?)

Sure! Maybe, who knows. I have been playing around with VP quite a bit in the beginning, so would not be surprised if I did some self-sabotaging. Am very curious!

Since downgrading (a couple of weeks ago) I haven't had this issue anymore. I do have to restart VP everytime I start in DCS and then get an automatic pop up window on my desktop with a notice about the new plugin version. Only after closing this message I can continue and jump back into VR.

I record VR on the right eye, which causes the right side of the HUD to be masked by the frame in the recording. Is there a way to offset the eyesight a little bit to the left or right in order to have the right eye more in the center of the view? I know how to center VR views within DCS, so now what I do is move my head to the side a bit and then press center my view, but I have to do this continuously, which is a pain. I also know of the function in SteamVR, but this also does not seem to help. Anybody have any idea how to nail this? Thanks!

Thanks, but that thread is not giving shortcuts to moving left and right. My issue is that while recording my right eye, the right side of the HUD is not visible, because it is blocked by a frame. So would like to be able to offset my view to the left a bit to get the right eye more center view.

Could you please also point me to this old thread? Thanks,

VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
Ready replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Did you get fps gain through this update? I did not notice any significant change. What is your setup? You don't use a shader mod? That 'fixed a bug... water surface' is very interesting. Am wondering why I did not notice this, or was it a bug that was introduced a few OB releases back when performance took a nose dive? -
I tried it too, going back up to SS 100% from 80% (which is my default). My average FPS decreases with 5,5 FPS and my average CPU framerate increases by 3-3,5 ms.

VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
Ready replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I just updated and switched back to Kegetys Simplex shaders. Loading was pretty quick. Did not clear my FX/metashader folders. -

The Enemy Within 3.0 and Warthog II
Ready replied to baltic_dragon's topic in A-10C The Enemy Within Campaign 3.0
Just installed the campaign yesterday and ran the first mission. The volume of the radio audio from 2 and the other elements was a bit low and difficult to understand. Any way to increase? -
Enjoy!!

GPU usage not at 99% w/ 10700kf @ 5.1ghz
Ready replied to hasole's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
So when you switch off tacview the CPU goes to 99% again? Are you in VR by any chance? My CPU is also not using all, so wondering if the cause is the same. tnx -
Destroyed targets tanking FPS and tripling frame times?
Ready replied to Xeno 1-1 HuDz's topic in VR Bugs
I have the same thing happening when dropping cluster bombs. It kills my frametimes and FPS. It also happens when 30mm bullets impact target, as seen in this video. No idea what causes it. -
I think I am up to date. Will downgrade and see if that makes a difference. Thanks,
-
For me it happens both in SP and MP. I had the issue before configuring TX Link.

Nice sheet! Let me also share mine, may it be of help to someone. All generic system optimizations as reported by the gurus (like SOH, Thud, Lukas S. and others) were done prior to starting with the testing. These were optimizations like W10 updating, pagefile optimization, SSD configuration, DCS proces priority configuration, Windows services optimization, HPET, gamebar, hotplug, dynamic tics, XMP profile and hyperthreading. All changes made within DCS were tracked, also within NVIDIA control panel, WMR, various DCS mods, GPU and CPU overclocking. For OB updates and driver updates I kept track of the versions. So far ran 55 tests. The first 26 tests used SOH's track file no. 276, after that used my own track file which I created in the hog to stay as close to my situation as possible. I usually run a test after making 1 modification to see the impact and sometimes go back and forth (switch back to the prior setting and retest, redo the setting and test again) just to confirm. The changed setting is every time marked in red. The actual impact is displayed in lines 5-8, using earlier discussed method in FPSVR to capture in CSV file and calculating performance averages across the whole track file, which to me give a very fair impression. Sometimes also note down the reprojection ratio as observed in FPSVR on screen, but this is not very stable I must say. I have no idea why that is. Also created a chart to visualize the DCS performance on my rig over time. GPU framerate (the orange line) is steadily improving it seems, even though shader mods become less effective because of game resource encryption. The graphics look good enough for me with the current settings. I judge them by my personal experience within the pit (inside VR) and by looking at the recordings on Youtube to see if it is a smooth experience (Youtube does quite some compresssion and downsampling). The next couple of tests will be focused on cloud settings. (Current clouds are better than those circling clouds of older DCS versions but to me the current distant clouds are really ugly and a big distractor, so I think to turn them all the way down to gain a bit more performance. If only there was a way to stop the trees from growing and moving while flying over them.. This would make me a happy simmer.) Another thing I don't fully understand is my GPU is never really utilized >90%, as reported in FPSVR. So there should be more performance to be gained by utilizing the final 5-10%? I just don't know how to do this. The performance is bound by GPU. GPU is in orange, CPU is usually in the green. See my rig specs in my signature.

Tried it, no effect. Still the same behaviour.

Will try, thanks

I understand, but it happened to my FL as well at the same time and not to others on the same server, which is making it a bit weird. We are both from different countries.
-
It happened to me a couple of times last week too. The second time it happened it also happened to my flight lead at about the same time. About 8 others from our flight group, who were also connected to the same server at the same moment did not have this issue. No idea what is causing this and it is deeply frustrating.

I have a similar issue for a while now and I think we messaged about this before on Discord, but I did not get it fixed yet. PTT works but after a while it switches around. Releasing the radio button triggers a PTT listen and pressing the button triggers a suspend. My workaround for now is Resetting Vaicom. This fixes it for a while but it keeps coming back. So I now have a HOTAS shortcut bound for Vaicom Pro reset.. I also have to keep the VP squelch sounds on, so it is clear to understand the difference between push and release and when I hear them incorrectly I reset VP. I will also turn on debug in VP and post my VA log.
