To use it for single player, couldn't you just select "start multiplayer server" when you start your mission from the mission editor, and then just play it alone? In the post above it says that it saves the routes to a file in your saved games folder that you can send to your wingmen. Would that work?

Meta acknowledges bug with OpenXR API layers in v68
FupDuck replied to mbucchia's topic in Virtual Reality
I think the issue is mainly with the desktop app, not the headset firmware. You need to block the link software from updating. There are instructions on the 3rd page of this thread -
Meta acknowledges bug with OpenXR API layers in v68

I agree with this. I don't see why everyone is still freaking out. The solution is posted on page 3 of this thread. Replace the v68 files with the v67 ones linked above, and everything works like it did before. And I am in the same boat as @gonvise. I have never gotten VD to look nearly as clear and smooth as the link cable. -
Meta acknowledges bug with OpenXR API layers in v68
FupDuck replied to mbucchia's topic in Virtual Reality
Given that this will be fixed in v69, would it make sense to turn on the PTC in the Meta software? -
There seem to be many slots available. Like I said, when I first join a mission from the server browser, it works just as the op says. I select dynamic, I select the airfield from the list, and I go into the rearm menu when I can choose my plane. If I then hit escape, then choose slot, none of this happens. I just see a list of mostly full slots, and only for one base (the one I originally signed in at). The only way to spawn at a different airfield, that I can find, is to exit the server and rejoin from the multiplayer menu. When I do this, all the airfields and slots show up. Perhaps someone could make some step by step instructions or a video that shows how to switch to a different airfield/plane after already spawning into a dynamic multiplayer server?
-
I understand how to spawn into a desired slot when I join the server, but how do I change to a different slot at a different airfield once I'm in the server? Going to "select role" only shows a few spots most of which are already occupied.

F86F SabreJet's Interactive Playground - Persian Gulf 1959
FupDuck replied to Kevin509's topic in Missions and Campaigns
I've put an hour or two into this mission so far, and I gotta say, it is very impressive! There's a lot going on to explore, and right off the bat, the almost carrier-like takeoff from Tunb was very enjoyable, with some definite sphincter puckering. I watched a naval battle, shadowed then shot down a couple of Bears, and suffered a landing gear failure on landing which left me dangling over the edge of the runway about an inch from the drink. And I'm most happy to report that the first plane that I got mixed up with was a MIG 17, not a MIG 15. Hooray! Great job, I hope you can do more l like this! Do you own South America by any chance? Something like this on that map would be epic!- 7 replies

Hey this config is great! Any chance you would be willing to share it as a DCS config? Thanks for taking the time to make this drawing!

F86F SabreJet's Interactive Playground - Persian Gulf 1959
FupDuck replied to Kevin509's topic in Missions and Campaigns
This looks great, I can't wait to try it! I'm always trying to find stuff to do with my Sabre, and fighting against ufo MIG 15s is just not enjoyable anymore. Happy to have some choice! Thanks!- 7 replies

I was so excited when I saw the title of this thread, I thought I would finally be able to have my favourite Peanuts character on my plane!

Perhaps someone can make an antigravitational quantum singularity mod. Other than that and the negative thousand thing, I'm fresh out of ideas.

Have you tried just changing the weight to a negative number in the script on the OP? So make it sandbag = -1000

The Big Show - Spitfire Mk.IX Campaign info
FupDuck replied to Reflected's topic in Spitfire LF Mk.IX The Big Show Campaign
Thanks for the detailed reply, and sorry about getting it wrong on #2, I just played the mission again, and your are correct, it does not say anything about starting the climb at Amiens. My mistake! Regarding the other items, I totally get it regarding the AI not acting reliably, and having to choose between evils to get them to do something like what you want them to do! I do have one more question, if I may: it says if you have to ditch in the Channel, to use radio channel D to call SAR. I, er, had occasion to use this on that last mission, but I wasn't sure what to do after switching to D. I tried to open the comms menu expecting an F10 option, but I couldn't open the menu. I also tried using the little Morse code paddle to send SOS a few times, but no luck. Any hints there? Thanks again! -
The Big Show - Spitfire Mk.IX Campaign info
FupDuck replied to Reflected's topic in Spitfire LF Mk.IX The Big Show Campaign
Hi @Reflected, great work on the campaign! I just finished the first sortie, and there are a couple of things I wanted to report to you, as they didn't seem correct to me: 1. In the briefing, it says the flight will be about ten minutes at wave top level. In reality, the formation flies at about 1500 feet over the water. It seemed higher than expected. 2. The briefing says that the flight will stay low until Amiens and then climb. In reality, the flight starts to climb while still over the Channel. 3. After merging with the bandits over France, the furball goes for a while (fun!), and then both sides stop fighting, and everyone heads for home. I was expecting the RAF to break off at some point due to low fuel, and the Luftwaffe to chase for a bit. What's weird here is that the Luftwaffe planes fly parallel to the RAF planes, and nobody engages anymore. At some point they diverge, but I didn't notice where, as I was almost out of fuel and running for home. Anyways, please take this as constructive feedback, not complaining. I hope to be helpful in making this campaign the best. -
Thanks so much for doing this! I've recently rediscovered this plane, and I'd forgotten how good it is. I can't believe it doesn't get more attention! Looking forward to the upcoming updates and training missions!

I am also using a Quest Pro, and both the headset and desktop software are fully updated. So far it's still working.

If you can't get in the cockpit of a mod, then yes that usually means you don't have something that the mod needs in order to fly.

Low Level Sortie with RAF Tornados
FupDuck replied to Looking Glass's topic in User Created Missions General
I downloaded these missions a long time ago, and they are still one of my go to missions that I'll play over and over again for a relaxing flight. I like flying it in the rain, it gives it a very "grey 80s cold war Europe" feeling. When I was in Germany in the 80s, I would see flights of Tornados at low level all the time, so this is a really cool feeling for me. Thanks for this great mission! -
This was an awesome campaign! Still works! I really enjoyed it!
