  1. Simply filtering the receiving ATC Towers to your selected frequency (even in realistic mode) would be a nice stopgap until the better ATC System launches. IMHO the system is not really realistic anyway, so a small simplification for the sake of usability would be an improvement.
  2. Awesome stuff. Wont be interested in the WWII stuff, but definitly watching your stuff for the modern gear :) Interesting Interface to connect the Grips to the base. Spring loaded pins, right? Any more details about the interface? Quick swap possible? Variable rotation for center mounted sticks? And the realistic forces for the buttons is .
  3. Well, it feels like its smoother now. But not 1'800.- smoother ;). Mostly upgraded to be ready for the arrival of the Reverb G2. Since I hoped the Reverb G2 would arrive sooner, I didnt do any tweaking yet. Still running Stock speeds on the 10900K (Normal Boost to 4.9GHz with sometimes 5.1GHz on some cores).
  4. If I would have to build a PC today, I would go with a AMD 5000 (Probably the 5950X just because, but the 5700X is plenty) and pair it up with a 6800XT or 3080 (Whichever you can get). In a month I would try to ge the 6900XT. And I'm running a 10900k with a 3080. Just upgraded from a 6600K (@5GHz) (4 Months ago) and a 1080TI (Last Friday :music_whistling:). While Intel can still rock higher Core Frequencies, the AMD is more efficient and can do everything quicker at a lower frequency. And I hate it .
  5. Absolutly nothing important and many wont use it, but can the "Contact Information" in the user profile be updated to a bit more up to date services? "AIM", "Google Talk", "Skype", "Yahoo! Messenger" and "ICQ" seems a bit dated. When I see those options I think I'm back in 2010 . Believe a Discord username would be a valid and up to date selection.
  6. 40 days remaining in 2020 :music_whistling: Maybe we get the increased flare amount at the same time...
  7. Similiar thing was said about the F-16. which was suddenly released into Early Access. ;). But it doesnt really bother me. 2022/23/24 is soon enough.
  8. Apache is basicly 95% confirmed. With a bit of luck EA in 2021? Cobra was acknowledged to be a module ED likes to do after the Apache (-> WAGS AMA many months ago). I really like a UH-60/MH-60 Blackhawk as well, but to this date there was no talking about that airframe. Would like a CH-47/MH-47 as well :smilewink:. Probably have to hope for some flyable mods in the future to get those aircrafts.
  9. I have a Ultrawidescreen and its pretty great. But if I would go back to 2d (Currently on a Rift-S and waiting on my HP G2), I would buy a 40"+ 4k TV/Monitor. IMHO the vertical space is as important as the horizontal space. But dont try to play anything other than Flightsims on that TV... (Inputlag etc ;-))
  10. Agreed. Nice that Tapatalk is available for those that prefer to use it... I prefer not to be bothered with it. ;)
  11. Webstore works perfectly fine for me. A friend of mine just received his displays. He's really happy with them.
  12. Sounds like you need to upgrade your VR. ;) The CV1 was great... but the improvements worth it. You might able to get a 2nd Hand Rift S or a Reverb G1 model now the Reverb G2 is slowely hitting the market.
  13. No experience with the XPlane thing. But from what I read its mostly related to used 3d Mode (DirectX or OpenGL). I would recommend you jump on the discord and ask Rider directly... he is very responsive and helpful. Discord Link
  14. Any examples? Sure, there are some modules which would be interesting. But absolutely necessairy is quiet a statement. ;)
  15. The OP has suggested a semi fidelity module, which I disagreed. OP suggested to keep the system focused on MFD and HOTAS. For me this sounds like FC with some additional clickable buttons. This is not 80%... Not even 50%. And I doubt thats what you want, right? Next is the problem with licencing. While I believe many would be happy if they have a modern airframe with a coverage of 80% of the systems, the licence holder (Boeing, Lockheed, etc) still need to agree and approve the module. This is a policy of ED for themselfs and their 3rd Party developer.Every module has some parts missing, simply because its not important or classification.
  16. As for the basic idea, no thank you. I prefer them to focus on full fidelity modules. Upgrading the FC airframes to a Semi-Fidelity planes to bring them a bit closer to the rest without spending a lot of ressources would otherwise be a interesting. (of course based on the fact that those Airframes never get a Full Fidelity Version). -> Clickable cockpits in the F15c, SU25 etc without spending tons and tons of work for detailed sub systems.
  17. I can only speak about VIRPIL. Never saw a VKB Product beeing available in EU... Like ever... Never had a problem with Virpil. Ordering backordered parts was easy. 2-3 week delay, then a notice that the CC was charged and I got the part 2 days later. But I never had an technical issue, so no Support knowledge. Simply awesome gear. Tundra was speaking in general, not statisticly. So there is not a 10% failure rate ;).

    Fixed FOV NVG

I fixed FOV is needed. But since all VR Headset have different resolutions, it would be good to move the NVG Up and Down while in game (or at least in the settings) as well. Just to make sure we can look below the NVG to check the instruments. The Position and FOV can already be corrected by mods, but depending on the mod this breaks Integrity Checks.
  19. Here it is: Zip's Instant Zoom Keybind Mod
  20. There is also a Mod on the User Files which gives you a lot more zoom levels in VR... Lange_666 method could even be more refined with a lot more steps. Currently dooing a similiar thing with Joy2Key, since I dont want to deal with Target. But still needs some refinement.
  21. Or bind a key to the Battery / Flood light switch... Or use your NODs... or blindly trying to find the key with tooltips disabled... But this was not the question... Many other modules have the flashlight enabled. Its a single line of input config and every pilot has a flashlight/fingerlight in his pilotbag.. Let us use it. Could you share it (upload to the user files as an example) for simplicity? Thanks
  22. Absolutly. Funny, I deleted that exact HARM part in my first draft of the message.
  23. I dont mind the button smashing. But what I dont get why this boresight align procedere was not introduced on all airframes at the same time. Another inconsitency between the airplanes (Like the GBU Codes).
