I need a voice actor for my next mission. Seeing your details here is quite useful, but I still don't know how you sound :) You will provide your voice for he team leader of a small recon team, providing overwatch during the mission. Mission elements are mostly US, but accent will not be a problem. If you would like to provide your voice for this role, you would have to record 15 lines (+-). A bit of roleplaying instead of plain reading would be nice. If you still want to help me with this, please record the following line: Situation: Your overwatch position was attacked by mortar fire, you managed to escape to a small forest and now try to give the transport helos coordinates for an improvised extraction zone. "[heavy breathing] This is eyeball, We made it to the forest, think I saw some infantry coming after us. We need immerdiate extraction. We try to make it to the other side of the forest. [To the other soldier]{Hey, give me that map.} That should be... Mike-Mike 20459 84562 I think. I repeat: immediate extraction at Mike-Mike 20459 84562." You can record as wav or mp3, clean record please, no effects. i will then pick the one I find most fitting for the role :) edit: Found the perfect voice actor for that role :)

Naja, ziel von DCS ist aber kein ausgeglichenes Match russischer Waffensysteme gegen US Waffensysteme sondern eine Simulation der Realität. Ich weiß nicht, wie die Waffe sich real verhält, aber der Anspruch ein ausbalanciertes Gegenstück zur AIM-120 zu haben ist hier vielleicht etwas fehl am Platze

I really like night missions, because it is a greater challenge. Or to be more precise the transition from day to night, start in the evening, and during the mission it gets really dark. Unfortunately my mates rather fly daylight missions...

Some months late, but in case you didn't find out (or anyone else has the problem): Let's take for example unlimited ammo. If you tick no boxes, it means the player can play with or without unlimited ammo. He can set this under his options. If you tick the left box it means you override the user's setting and force him to use the setting you provide in the mission, which is basically the right box. Left on, right off means you force him to play without unlimited ammo, both on means you force him to play with unlimited ammo.

I just saw the advanced scripting part but can't figure out how to use the callbacks. Do you have an example for that? Currently I have a problem, my mission contains transporting a group of infantry to a specific location. But when the group is loaded into the helo (one of 6 possible helo units choosable by the players) and the helo crashes, I have no way to spawn a new group, end the mission, or somehow react to this. Maybe I can use the callback functions to handle this? But for this I have to understand them :D

That was clear, I meant in game, how can I decide which locale I play the mission in, or how does the game decide, which locale it should take? DE = german? EN = english?

Hi, just discovered the menu customize -> locale panel. Didn't find anything on it, does anyone know anything about this? Seems like some sort of multilingual feature, but how can you choose which locale is being used?

this. Just fly towards it until it locks you, when it fires, evade. Stay in that range until it stops firing

I actually came back to assigning the buttons ingame. In the programming software I can't assign the pinkie to anything other than being a modifier. I got used to the pinkie being my NWS on/off and Lase button. I use the small thumb button on the throttle (don't remember which one it is now) as a modifier. Coolie hat for trimming, the second 8 way switch on the stick as TMS, 8 way switch on throttle to select through MFD pages and set SOI. Modifier + Coolie for TGP camera movement. Modifier + 2nd 8 way for CMS and modifier + 8 way on throttle for DMS. Works nice with that setup..

If you have the time you can stay at the edge of their range and easily dodge their missiles until they are out of ammo. Just put the SAM on your 3/9 line, fly straight after the launch, and after a few seconds turn 180 degrees.. Requires a bit practice, but works. Not the most realistic approach though

Ok, removed all MANPADS from the group and via texteditor set all player can drive values to false, even the greyed out ones. Now I can't give them waypoints or targets (yay) but still can order them to form a different formation (gnah!!). Is it not possible to just set them as a group with which the CA player can do nothing at all? -
Ok, danke euch. Vor dem Kollektiv schon Ruder geben hilft. Jetzt ist es immernoch gewöhnungsbedürftig aber immerhin beherrschbar
