  1. Continental Airlines 1980s and USAF C-22s are updated as Rev 3 with also updated "Boeing 727 Common Normal map / RoughMet Textures pack Rev3". DL links are not changed from Rev 2.
  2. My 1st post is edited. Skins' Links of Continental 1980s (Rev2) and USAF C-22s (Rev2) are added. Both are uploaded and updated just today. United's sample is temporary deleted. Now I try to retouch them again. Template is not published yet, but I want to hear your requests about the template --- only blank white one is needed ? or some color stripes as sample are needed ?
  3. Great Work , Minsky. I'm wondering .... about folders' size .... Are there copies of the same Normal map / RoughMet textures (or some wing diffuse textures without any difference ?) in every liveries' folders ? The special edited Normal map / RoughMet texture files (like different doors / windows configuration or polished metal parts) have to be placed in the livery folder, but typical + common ones are not. Common Normal map / RoughMet / 2nd-3rd diffuse textures for wings can be packed in a zip file and placed in the Mods/ aircraft/ Civil Aircraft Mod/ Textures/ folder. Liveries' description.lua call those common materials with "true" values. So, if the same common textures can be shared, total folder size can be decreased into 120 MB ?
  4. I reworked the Boeing 727's template of Civil Aircraft Mod , original by Warlord64 . It makes easier to draw historical airline liveries from photos. When you want to draw color stripes around windows , the stripes have to be tilted 0.77 degrees. I also retouch Normal map and Rough-Met textures to fit the new diffuse texture, and decided to pack those textures as zip file to be placed in Mods\ aircraft\ Civil Aircraft Mod\ Textures\ folder. It works as decreasing Liveries folder space in 1/3 . In 2022, I begin to rework also Boeing 747 template based on Warlord64's one and Minsky's new white skin + Normal - RoughMet textures. The template is still wip, not published. I moved whole the texture a bit to mirrored left side and right side correctly in 3D , stripes can be rendered without gaps on the nose or tail. Both sides windows and doors are positions on the same height in 3D. The cockpit shield is centered. Normal map and RoughMet textures are also retouch to match the new diffuse texture.   6. Hi, Minsky. How about Philippine Airlines / PAL Express (painted in the same livery) A320 ? In my searching, CAM's A320 is never painted in Philippines' one. Before COVID-19: PAL Express's A320 might fly between Manila and Saipan. After COVID-19: Philippine Airlines' flights between Manila and Guam are made down-sized into A321. +1 When you'll try to prepare a new paintkit for Boeing 727 , please wait my re-arrangement about its windows and doors.   7. A progress of my personal research about B727's windows position. I use United Airlines' Rainbow scheme. Its stripes looks like a good guide to determine windows and doors in watching photos. Even in the period of the Rainbow scheme , UA made a small change. The difference might be here about starboard side. (Port side's L1 door has a different size) And whole paints might be .... in comparing photos taken in each years. So, next I'll try to move windows + doors to fit the stripes.

  10. Thanks. That's just the information I need. Sad thing though, I can give it up soon not spent so long time. I also wait that some modders / 3d artists will bring native business jet models (like Challenger or Citation Jet) with RoughMet function into DCS World for sticked (?) skinning. Now I'm going easily about Yak-40.
  11. I'm trying to add RoughMet textures for Yak-40, but no success. Executive Jets (especially Challenger 600) often use chrome plated parts , I want to reproduce them and draw RoughMet textures, write description.lua file adding RoughMet texture entries. But DCS World looks not loading RoughMet files about Yak-40, nothing changed from before. Is RoughMet function not available about Yak-40 ? or something wrong in my operation ? Any ideas .... I've searched some AI RoughMet mods covered Yak-40 .... but perhaps never.

  13. Hi, crazyeddie. Are your two Yak-40 skins not published yet ? I'm also interested in those liveries for Yak-40. I myself try to draw business-jet-like Yak-40s, too. I'll publish my works as one skinpack after 4x or 5x more liveries will be finished.
  14. Ah ... Do you want to play "Create FAST MISSION" on Marianas ? That is still not available because of Early Access stage map as noticed in its Release Note. You (and We) can fly over Marianas by "INSTANT ACTION" with a few aircrafts / helos or own hand-made missions by Mission Editor. And perhaps not related to .... but I found .... Your DCS looks Stable one , instead of Open Beta one. Its version was 2.7.3.8494 yesterday and just updated to 2.7.5.10869 today. So, its user folder path might be ./ Saved Games / DCS / foobar , not ./ Saved Games / DCS.openbeta / foobar .
  15. Hi. Don't you install some MODs in your "USER / Saved Games / DCS / " folder ? Today's DCS installer / uninstaller (also same about steam's manager) don't touch "USER / Saved Games / " folders. So .... If the crash-cause exists in Mods in "Saved Games /" , that might be kept after uninstall + re-install ..... the crash continues .... If so , once uninstall mods from "USER / Saved Games / " folder.

Great thanks again. So .... I want to ask something more about B727 template I found through my painting time. I didn't find them in sending "template_rwk2" time, painting cheatlines on both side or from the nose to the tail has leaded me. One is easy , another is complex + hard. I'm afraid to bother you again. I write what I found, but you don't need to begin them when not interested. 1. Port side windows + doors are 2 pixels lower than starboard side ones. When I draw the cheatlines around windows to match its height on the 3d model about the nose and tail , their relative position "cheatlines" vs. "windows + doors" seen different on both sides. 2. Historical 727's floor might be climbing to its tail from the nose a bit by a bit (like Airbus A330 passenger). Windows and doors may have to be placed a bit higher and higher to backward. The last window has to be placed the same height of the center of 1+3 engines' intakes.

  18. In my testing, current DCS World doesn't need installing liveries data under CoreMods\ path. userfolder\Saved Games\DCS (.openbeta) \Liveries\KC135MPRS is also loaded.
  19. Hi. Are you OK they are different aircraft types "KC-135" (with flying boom) or "KC-135 MPRS" (with drogue hose pods under wings) ? Also Liveries folder names are different. This IIAF / IRIAF skins are made for KC-135 MPRS and each files are stored under Liveries\KC135MPRS\ . You can choose new liveries on KC-135 MPRS in ME. When you want to apply the same skins on "KC-135" , copy the contents into Liveries\kc-135\ folder (or ... make folder-link to avoid files' duplications and save disc space) .

  21. Liveries lua folder structure is .... foobar\DCS\CoreMods\aircraft\ChinaAssetPack\Liveries\ (Type_052B/C Type_054A Type_071 Type_093 etc.) Texture dds folder is .... foobar\DCS\CoreMods\aircraft\ChinaAssetPack\Textures\Navy\ (052b 052c 054a 071 093) in my digging and serching.

  23. Hi, Warload64. Your templates are great and I've used them to paint my new skins for Civil Aircraft Mod. The tasks are made easier. May I ask you one request about Boeing 727 template ? I want to draw historical B727 "-100" liveries and fake "-200" liveries in different doors + windows arrangements. (Civil Aircraft Mod's 3d model is based on "-100" ) I've edited your template to move or delete doors and windows on each layers. But retouching "lines" layer is too hard to fit those new doors / windows.   24. RAF Akrotiri (Cypros, Syria map) denies B-52 starting from Ramp as same as A330. E-3A / KC-135 are based on Boeing 707 (or its prototype) and not so large ( 46.6 m X 44.5 m ) and OK. C-17 ( 53 m X 51.8 m ) can spawn there ..... even the number of available spots is very limited. I haven't checked Saipan with the biggest taxi-able ED stock aircrafts. But perhaps 1 or 2 spots maybe available by C-17 / B-52. Tinian is limited. C-17 or IL-76MD cannot taxi there, I saw. Well its parking space looks small guessing impossible to treat them.
