Recently I started trying out Create Fast Mission generator and I often find myself with nothing but a gun. What I want is a field to select the preset loadout for the player flight the way we do in the rearm menu. That one field would save the player from checking the briefing to see whether he even has weapons, going to the mission editor, finding his flight in the middle of all that coloured spaghetti and setting his loadout - in essence, doing all the things that the mission generator has to save the player from doing in the first place.

That's true but airfield repairs require just the same - engine off. So I'd like to see both - being able to put the probe on and off in the field as needed with the special menu checkbox determining the initial status when you spawn.

ED says it's been in the wishlist for a long time but on low priority.

I don't know if you have Flaming Cliffs (which you should at least for the mod support), but I guess you know how the FC modules are somewhat less detailed than full-fidelity modules. Well, Combined Arms is even more dumbed down than that! Even a certain arcade game with a semblance of a damage model has a better simulation of ground vehicles in many regards! There's little to no content and even less development effort. As it is I think it's more of a debug interface than a game element. If you want a single prop per se you can look into WW2 fighters (TF-51 is a good demonstrator in that regard) but Yak is fine too if blasting stuff is not considered. Don't bother waiting for the Tucano or pretty much anything in development. I've made a mistake of waiting for BS3 and Mirage F1 to drop last autumn, and guess what, I'm still waiting. Choose from what you have now, because nobody really knows when new stuff will be available, and in many cases the devs don't know it either.

А так-то хотелось бы иметь бесплатного "Кузю", тем более что с него ведь могут работать и вертолеты. Опять же, есть проекты 1123 и 1143.1-4, даже необязательно делать их в деталях, просто чтобы можно было создавать миссии. И все, это весь советский авианесущий флот.

What about the navigation system? I know it wasn't designed for operation in the southern hemisphere, so I think that maybe some workaround could be made, even if it's not quite realistic.

Можно попробовать взять цель на сопровождение еще и при помощи ОЛС. Когда возьмешь цель в захват, нажми О, чтобы включить ОЛС, тогда на ИЛС будет отображаться ТПРЛ вместо РЛ. По идее, должно помочь.

Not sure if it belongs here but I don't feel like starting a topic over one single question. How do I get George the CPG to target the other guy? For instance, in the Persian Gulf ASW quick mission I have to sink a sub. I tell George to find targets for the Hellfire. He presents a list of targets. I select one, he brings the TADS to bear and on my MFD I see it's not a sub. How do I go back to the target list? I did it once or twice by accident but can't remember how.

I guess so. There are three dispenser cartridges that you can load up with either chaff or flares. Each cartridge may contain only chaff or only flares. There's only one release button, but you can select which cartridge to use from Petrovich menu left or the similar looking panel at the gunner seat.

the YP-BB at the top says it has something to do with air-to-air missiles, literally "guided missile - air-to-air".
