AK you just find a ship you want to hit, guesstimate the size (only MED/LRG at this point) and fire. AKG you need the DL Pod and you have to guide it the last 10nm or so... try turning on the rockets and getting them aligned on the ground, also make sure that HNS light is lit so it'll give GPS to your weapons.
-
maybe they just wanna make sure we all know how to do it without the manual... which they still haven't provided yet.
-
it also seems to start if you do the cold start, and then when it's about 19% you flip that switch to middle position and hold down the start it transitions into warm start. also, I had to cold start for air restart - not sure if that's correct what needs to be done, but that's what the game requires too.

I'm saying that Deka needs track files, something that shows this behavior. He could have just launched it without waiting for it to align, maybe she's low and they set it to cruise high, maybe it was set for 'popup' and its unexpected from the OPs point of view, lots of things that may be unexpected from a new user, but all have perfectly valid explanations.
-
Can you confirm that, or are you just basing this on what the OP said?

[FIXED] Can not manually 'load' the aircraft anymore in the latest patch
Napillo replied to Napillo's topic in Fixed Bugs
This is still happening after the last patches. -
hmm, set target size to small... set cruise to high, pick a ground target, launch, quickly lock an air target... take down a jet with a cruise missile! No, you should not have to keep it locked, the lock is only for TOO - the 802AK has its own seeker that it will turn on. Did you wait for it to be aligned? There's about a 3 minute delay after you turn on the missile where it has to align, the countdown shows up on the SMS page and on the display to the right.

I can get it to start, for some reason, even if you don't have the ladder you have to request they remove it. And then it seems to start ok. To 'cold start' just switch the start switch down to engine, and then attempt to start - the engine will stay cold but you'll see the RPMs go up. Then, that will finish, and you can switch it back to the middle position and start up. If you don't then all that seems to happen is I get a loud bang then the engine stops. I have to start it again anyways.

yea, antenna elevation, it seems to adjust contrast of ground targets, it's very subtle.

anything CCIP will show the distance to the ccip pipper - hence it showing 2.9 for guns.

there was a patch today that says they Updated C802AK scheme

Second Pass with WMD7 and BRM-1, rockets will not fire
Napillo replied to stoop's topic in JF-17 Thunder
No, a WMD-7 must not be loaded for it to fire. I tested it out just now, as long as you have SPI within your front hemisphere, and within range they'll fire, but they don't seem to hit anything. -
[CHK] Map Points to DTC/Plane Transfer Sometimes broken
Napillo replied to MisterOutofTime's topic in Bugs and Problems
you have a space character before PP2, which is why it didn't set it. Look at your screenshots again. PP1 the first P is right under the 'N' for 'New Callsign' but on PP2, it's offset. -
Second Pass with WMD7 and BRM-1, rockets will not fire
Napillo replied to stoop's topic in JF-17 Thunder
ah yea, that's expected - when you lose sight, it only has a general idea of where it was last pointing. You just need to do that. -
one thing that is obvious, at least to me, is that all the other contacts on the radar show bricks in RWS but on TWS they show vectors...

Second Pass with WMD7 and BRM-1, rockets will not fire

could it be that you're not waiting long enough for the laser to cool down? -
if you stay below 15000 ft, and you don't have on oxygen, you should be okay, as I believe that's where they decided that hypobaric hypoxia sets in. If you pull Gs and you don't have your G suit plugged in, then you will experience that same effect, but it should just be blacking out, because all the blood will rush to your feet instead of being pushed up by the G suit.

Some Questions Regarding the Jf-17's Radar
Napillo replied to DCS FIGHTER PILOT's topic in Bugs and Problems
No, the SPJ jamming pod does not jam the JF-17 itself, and it doesn't need to steal power from the radar itself. -
There's no real good HOBS missiles at the moment, so it wouldn't make sense, even though it would at least look cool.
-
one thing I've noticed, is you can use your radar slew to adjust the gain of ground targets...
-
Also, the IR sensor should have a peak around 4nm wavelength due to the materials used, it's probably got an InAsSb detector in it. Two wavelengths around 4nm, capable of detecting methane and co2. All aspect, 40 degrees cone.
-
also dont you have to drop it between 1500 and 500 ft?

Is the radar supposed to work the way it currently does in 2.7.7?
Napillo replied to DSplayer's topic in JF-17 Thunder
It appears so, Deka seems to be modeling radar more completely than any other airplane now, which gives it a bit of a disadvantage.
