  1. I'd be curious too how the new voip works with the 'jeff channel' aka channel 199 - it should be a digital voice channel not analog, so line of sight shouldn't be required, except to the awacs.
  2. You would think it would freeze the data where its at as you move the thing around, but instead the whole scan moves as you move the radar scan volume. You should think of it like a 120 degree full image, with only a certain portion that is filled out, and displayed on the screen. Instead, it is a screen, that rotates as you move the scan volume and is correct only when it finishes a scan after you finish moving the scan volume.
  3. Did you try PP mode without slave/master?
  4. You should also turn on your radar so that the tpod is stabilized.
  5. Set to drop 4 at the same time, set PP on each bomb, when all the lines are solid, hold and drop. I've done two at the same time, but I don't see why it won't work with four.
  6. RD-93/93MA[edit] A variant used to power the JF-17 Thunder (FC-1). According to JF-17.com [5] "The most significant difference being the repositioning of the gearbox along the bottom of the engine casing." The Klimov poster at Zhuhai 2010 airshow gave the thrust range of the engine to be 49.4 kN to 84.4 kN wet.[6] From Wikipedia (the RD-93 engine page which is actually the RD-33 page with a section on the RD-93). From here: https://jf-17.com/specifications/ It says 84.4 So, wikipedia for the JF-17 showed 81.3, now it shows 84.4... just curious what the value is for the JF-17 in dcs?
  7. This video (@12:00) says the afterburning thrust is 84.4, wikipedia says 81.3 -- which one do we have in game? are we missing 4-5% performance?
  8. disheartening, it is useful in aircraft identification, especially in a cluttered environment, having a visual to be able to identify other aircraft is useful.
  9. You only have to change that once, your next mark point will already be on 'sensor' already.
  10. definitely odd, maybe its intercept is at 90 degrees, so its like 'nope, notched'. I bet it's something in the notch calculations thats off.
  11. Shows how to use the radar. the video quality isn't great, but it is pretty good imho.

    FP-B?

Is there any way to program an FP-B or maybe it can just reverse the FP-A?
  13. so what you're saying is you can program the laser code, but when you go back to the config page it shows 1688?
  14. Just saw this video, it's an older one, but here you go:
  15. are they using a variable resistor for a pot? It sounds like they used the wrong value for the vr, it is probably too low voltage for the one they chose.
  16. I like that INCR/DECR slider (with detent) to work like radar up/down so if I move it up a little past the detent, it will move the radar up slowly, and move it down below the detent it will move the radar down slowly, and also move it up a lot to get quicker, and vice versa, but when I use the TGP, I don't want it to do that, because it's constantly out of focus when it's slowly moving. Is there a way to bind it such that it will act as a slider while in TGP, but will act as an axis on the radar?
  17. You do understand that cars of the past (which, depending on the time of the mission in DCS could be realistic) had incandescent lights. Incandescent lights used tungsten filaments that are heated up to 4600F (around 2500c) which will produce significant IR. Some cars still use those, and military vehicles old enough to be in DCS certainly had them.
  18. If you have the JF-17, the Stream Deck XL (as seen in the photo) makes an excellent UFCP for it. There's a stream deck profile for it, and it's excellent, even allowing you to control the radio.
  19. ChatGPT seemed to do a decent job of translating the manual. You'll need to give it a hint like "this is documentation for a module in DCS, the JF-17 Thunder. It gives details on how to use the fighter jet in the game. Please translate this to english."
  20. True, I tried to hunt down a SU-25T because I had no more missiles, and I could not get a single shot to hit when using the gunsight. IDK why it doesn't work, but it's frustrating.
  21. That doesn't work, some of the folders aren't there, and following as closely as you can to the instructions, it doesn't work.
  22. just whatever your last WPT is, that's where you should land. It will load all the airports by order of distance from the last WPT.
  23. from the screenshot it looks like the eyebrow lights aren't synced with the game?
  24. Yes, but I thought the JF-17 we got in game was based on the NAF model of the JF-17, since we have the refueling probe and it's a Block I / II hybrid.
  25. key bindings changed, so maybe you have something bound wrong
