I find it works better when your climb rate is close to 0 for some time -
It is definitely broken though, see here. The elevation is off by 20deg to the indicated target. Very noticable in the final RIO training mission, where the target should not be at 0 elevation but appears so.

I can confirm that, the elevation is definitely buggy. I could not complete the training mission -
This is a summary of all suggested improvements for the Reverb G2 headset. #1 Frankenmod - increase comfort and FOV TEST VERDICT : fantastic ! +15% FOV with the v1. More comfortable face pad. May not apply to the reverb G2 v2 #2 Counterweights - increase balance and comfort Adding between 200g to 400g of weights to the back of the headset will make it rest more easily on your face. I personally ordered wheel weights, as they self-glue and are easy to remove. TEST VERDICT : good, headset sits more stable, less strap force required, more comfortable #3 Hair nets This is my own "invention". If you have hair, you may find it often gets entangled with the rubber cable or straps. Also there is a constant pull on your hair due to the strapping. A simple one-time use hair net ( $0.10 ) removes that problem entirely, and you can reuse them several times. Also: putting up and removing the headset is easier and more pleasant. #4 zip ties The original cable clip breaks or comes off easily. Use two or three small zip ties instead, to fix the cable properly. Anything missing ?

I found a video where players used the Aim54 to attack ships. I have tried to replicate this, but it no longer seems to work, see mission: fbo_marianas_F14.miz 1. I can only see / lock the ship on DDD with Pulse from long range (RIO), not with pulse doppler (even though MFD notch filter is disabled) 2. The aim54 will fire and roughly travel to the location of the ship but it can miss by miles. 3. Locking the ship with PAL from pilot seat also works when close <15nm, but the aim54 will still miss.

Its lowercase metashaders2 If true then there may be some read/write issues. probably best to reinstall / repair. This could cause stutters -

I had the same issue with my 3070 8GB, so similar limited VRAM. I uninstalled all shader mods, set textures medium, terrain textures low. Cleared fxo and metashaders. Once shaders had recompiled i had no more respawn stutter. So i cant exactly say if it was the shader mods, the texture res or the shader recompile that finally fixed the issue. My nvidia control panel settigns are default except for texture filtering: performance. Pre-rendered frames: 2 -
Yes though i used an ipad in vr. But its still a lot of pages to scroll through regardless of how you scale it.

Thanks, its my only F-14 guide. I wish there was a more concise / packed layout for the kneeboard so i can look at this in VR.

Is there an option to hide HUD camera by default or keybinding ? Its the only time i have to use the mouse during startup. Since I discovered it can be hidden by clicking, i can't stand to look at this thing any more. Its the first thing i hide when entering the cockpit

Sure, i have an updated version releasing today which includes: "set enemy skill (average;good;high;ace)" "spawn 1 F-18 at 25 miles, angels 30" - angels can be set to [1;5;10;15;20;25;30;40;50] or "equal" for equal altitude to your aircraft "spawn [F16;F18;F15;F14;SU27;SU30;MIG29;MIG31;MIG21;A10;Bf109;A4;F5;Fw190;I16;MiG15;MiG19;Mosquito;P51D;Spitfire]" - 20 modern and historic aircraft types

yep, memory leak or something lowering texture res and uninstalling shader mods helped me. It still happens but far less often.

Yeah those apps dont work because in VR you cant see the tiny buttons. So you can't control them blindly. Ideally the VR iPad kneeboard would only allow swipe, zoom and draw. With the apple notes app there are too many tiny controls that you cant really find without looking at the iPad and where your finger is positioned.

The bearing can be controlled with your aircraft heading, the bandits always spawn on your 12 or 6 o clock position The altitude could be added indeed, like you could say "Spawn four Mig 21 at 10 miles, angels 25" Added "historic" enemy type submenu and skill menu, coming to next version.

If you have a midi controller lying around, they are often illuminated so you can see the buttons glancing under the G2. Works really well for me to map all sorts of buttons that would be wasted on the HOTAS

Im using my iPad in steamVR, but i need a good app to run on iPad. The apple notes pad is ok but not ideal. I was wondering if I could somehow use a kneeboard app to run on iPad so i can use finger / stylus writing I noticed a performance hit right when i move the controller, so my iPad kneeboard fades into view through steamVR. But once its in view i didnt notice any performance drop. But i need to compare framerates to be sure.

Im not sure why all the kneeboards are inside DCS. Is it for performance reasons that you dont use steam vr overlays? Or because you dont want to deal with VR controllers?
