  1. Trying to run multiple DCS instances at the same time would put the server itself in the cloud
  2. Most anti-ship cruise missiles seem to have secondary ground attack role, I don't expect AK to be any different in that regard. Question is how useful it can it really be without any supplement to INS? Because if I understand it correctly AK doesn't have GPS, it doesn't really need it for anti-ship role. Ancient Kitchens/Kh-22 are being used like that in Ukraine, it's just that without any terminal guidance you can expect them to hit more or less correct postal code, not particular vehicle in the middle of a field like we expect stuff to work in DCS
  3. I seriously doubt passive seeker missile would be of any usefulness against a tactical jet, MAYBE if it's guiding a SARH missile at the launch aircraft or using simple barrage jamming. There is a good reason why everybody took the ARH route instead
  4. I usually shoot from 7 miles, but I put the CCIP pipper in the general area of the TGP symbol on the HUD, preferably a bit long so rocket doesn't have to maneuver as much
  5. You can add deadzone for the axis that drifts to alleviate that
  6. @Tank50us @joey45 Resizable BAR is a technology that improves the way CPU accesses VRAM, it has nothing to do with black bars on your screen lol
  7. The only thing that comes to my mind is that you might be shooting rockets too far off target so they don't see the laser, remember that they have limited field of view. You should also double check if the laser codes match. Other than that it's just a matter of pointing and shooting
  8. When I used them last time it was just a matter of pointing and shooting, laser turns on automatically. On the screenshot it says that fuse is set to safe, maybe that's why they're not working? The way laser works in the Jeff is by default it turns on automatically, instantly if you use rockets or with a delay if you drop laser guided bombs. Using LSR button forces laser to turn on for instance if you're designating for somebody else
  9. They had it from the get-go. Vid rel
  10. @leoliao It's just "we know that there likely is a SAM site there so we have marked it for you on the map" which just so happens to be perfectly accurate in the game. There is no datalink involved and it's static because it's just a bunch of points in the nav system that were loaded on DTC
  11. When you set up dual factor authentication you get a code you put into your 2FA app (it doesn't have to be the Google one but IMHO it's convenient), some sites provide it as QR code so you can just scan it. After that your app starts generating codes that change every 30 seconds I think, it's the generated code that you use when you log in. I think what confuses some people is that there are in fact two codes, one that you use to set up your app (a bit like word of the day in HAVE QUICK) and one that keeps changing and is generated by the app to actually log in
  12. You can press one of the HOTAS buttons, S8, to switch between weapon types. I prefer not launch SD-10 mad dog, with radar cueing you have wider launch envelope and they become really nasty WVR weapons
  13. Tbh cost of modules is not that big of a deal compared to costs of hardware (PC, HOTAS, headtracking/VR)
  14. @Bosun Out of curiosity, are you running ST or MT exe? I don't know about carrier but airfield lights have provided illumination to cockpit for quite some time now, at least on PG and Syria
  15. @Viper1031 Sounds like a lot of work for what ultimately is mostly the same aircraft, at least for video game purpose. What I could see happen down the road is basically F16C II paid upgrade like A10C II, some kind of block 50/52+ with CFTs, newer software and toys like SDB or GBU-54 (JASSM perhaps?) on top of bringing the visuals to 2030 standards
  16. @Burning Bridges You're supposed to use an app to generate a single use code. ED suggests Google Authenticator but there are other options. At the end of the day it works just like those hardware tokens with small LCD display, I'm not sure why people are so mad about it
  17. Realistically what kinds of improvements could RT even bring to DCS? The way I see it due to the nature of the game the disadvantages of classic tricks used in video games aren't as pronounced, a lot of stuff can be either baked in or isn't that noticeable if it falls apart. Another thing, wouldn't size of the maps and amount of stuff like trees affect performance? Or maybe it's quite the opposite, you could optimize the "fake world" game is tracing rays against to a much higher extent than in normal games?
  18. Apparently WMD7 pod doesn't have air to air functionality so it was disabled
  19. Perhaps simply nobody bothered testing such configuration IRL so it's not on the approved loadout list?
  20. @Napillo It's a completely different pod, Aselpod is Turkish and WMD7 is Chinese
  21. I don't know if it's still a thing but I remember that some time ago having no antialiasing enabled caused Maverick symbology to not render properly. Try turning on MSAA and see what happens
  22. @gulredrel Just open air to air refueling door, it will allow you to refuel your empty external tanks on the ground, you have to do it at the beginning of the process though, once internal fuel tanks are full it doesn't work
  23. Not just crewmen, but crewwomen and crewchildren too
  24. It would be particularly useful for Ka-50, full INS alignment is ridiculously long while the short one drifts very quickly
